Lu Ning arrives on the Douluo Continent after choosing four cheats associated with alcohol, lust, wealth, and anger. Flender finds him, brings him to Shrek Academy, and raises him. By twelve, Lu Ning has become a level 39 Soul Elder and has already helped Oscar and Ma Hongjun hunt for soul rings 1 7.

His unconventional cultivation habits bring him into conflict with Yu Xiaogang, who demands his expulsion shortly after arriving at Shrek. Flender defends Lu Ning, insisting that his drinking has never interfered with his classes or cultivation 1.

Personality

Lu Ning is irreverent, blunt, and quick to answer condescension with mockery. He challenges Yu Xiaogang’s authority openly and treats Flender with familiar cheek despite recognizing him as his teacher and guardian. His leisurely habits do not prevent him from cultivating rapidly 1 3 7.

He strongly values independence. He refuses Ning Rongrong’s invitation to join the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and later rejects Ning Fengzhi’s attempt to arrange a visit on the sect leader’s terms. He makes clear that any future visit will be his own choice, not an act of submission 16 64.

His generosity is especially evident toward Shrek’s staff and students: he gives Flender a valuable soul bone and later offers another to Zhao Wuji. He is also willing to use coercion and lethal force, taking Xiao Wu hostage to secure his escape from the Star Dou Great Forest and killing the assassins Huyan Zhen and Shi Nian 38 82 83 97 100.

Lu Ning’s selected options allow ordinary cultivation, ring acquisition, and resource gathering to develop far beyond conventional limits 1.
