Background / History
Recognition of the Dragon Ancestor
Di Tian initially slept coiled around a stone pillar in the folded space beneath the Lake of Life, where the Soul Beast Clan’s true leaders remained dormant. A faint ripple of blood qi from beneath the planet awakened him and suppressed his Black Dragon King bloodline so completely that he fell to the ground, unable to lift his head 15.
Recognizing that the aura surpassed even the Dragon God’s, he forced himself into human form and sought Gu Yuena. She explained that the source was the Dragon Ancestor, whose body enveloped Douluo Star and the surrounding starry sky. After witnessing the aura heal her ancient injury, Di Tian joined her in worship and accepted her command to replace sacrifices to the Dragon God with devotion to the Dragon Ancestor 15.
Defeat of Tang Hao
Gu Yuena sent Di Tian to stop Tang Hao from disturbing the Dragon Ancestor while attacking Da Ming and Er Ming. By the time Di Tian confronted him, the Dragon Ancestor’s blood qi had already shattered Tang Hao’s Clear Sky Hammer. Di Tian’s pressure left the Rank 95 Titled Douluo unable to stand 15.
Tang Hao burned his remaining soul power and life essence to escape, but Di Tian intercepted him through the void and struck him back toward the fissure. He prepared to kill Tang Hao with a black dragon claw, stopping only when Tang Hao mentioned Xiao Wu 15 16.
Xiao Wu’s plea secured Tang Hao’s life. Di Tian nevertheless stamped on his back, sealing and damaging his meridians until his cultivation fell to the Soul Douluo level. He ordered Tang Hao to announce the forest’s closure and threatened to raze human cities with a beast tide if anyone disturbed the Dragon Ancestor again 16.
The Human Expedition
Seeking revenge, Tang Hao spread a false rumor that Di Tian was a million-year ferocious beast guarding a treasure capable of granting godhood. The rumor drew the great sects toward Star Dou Great Forest despite Spirit Hall’s attempts to block their entry 17.
Following Gu Yuena’s instructions, Di Tian arranged the forest’s beasts along the core region and allowed the humans inside. He then called forth Xiong Jun, the Myriad Demon King, Bi Ji, and Zi Ji, all of whom took subordinate positions behind him. Chen Xin recognized that Di Tian’s aura far surpassed that of any Super Douluo he had encountered 17 18.
Di Tian watched as Xiong Jun defeated the human leaders. He was about to order the remaining beasts to finish them when golden radiance erupted from the fissure, prompting him to turn and kneel toward the Dragon Ancestor. Gu Yuena subsequently rejected his offer to execute the intruders, fearing that spilled blood might displease the sleeping progenitor; Di Tian immediately admitted his oversight 18 19.
Douluo Star’s Collapse
When Gu Xian shifted in his sleep, Di Tian remained prostrate beside Gu Yuena despite rubble injuring his scales. He initially mistook the increasing underground heat for approaching magma, until she explained that the Dragon Ancestor’s expanding body was forcing the planet’s crust outward 20.
After the Divine Realm’s gods attacked Gu Xian, Di Tian feared they might have awakened him or would return with an army. Gu Yuena assured him that their attacks were insignificant and that the gods would instead seal their connections to Douluo Star 22.
As the planet became uninhabitable, Di Tian directed hundreds of thousands of soul beasts down the fissure to grip Gu Xian’s scales. During the planet’s breakup, his own scales were roasted red and smoke poured from his body. Facing both extreme heat and the absence of air, he obeyed Gu Yuena’s instruction to suppress his aura and use his remaining soul power to protect his heart 23 25.
Appearance
Di Tian appears as either an immense black dragon or a middle-aged man in black robes. His dark-gold vertical pupils remain a distinguishing feature in human form 15 18.
- Dragon form: Over one thousand meters long and covered entirely in black scales 15.
- Human form: Middle-aged appearance, black robes, and fair-skinned hands 15 16 18.
- Characteristic posture: Frequently stands with his hands clasped behind his back when confronting humans 15 16 18.
Personality
Di Tian treats hostile human Soul Masters with open contempt. He toys with Tang Hao’s attempted escape, mocks his claim that marrying a soul beast makes him part of the clan, and regards the treasure-seeking expedition as an expression of human greed 15 16 18.
His arrogance disappears before Gu Yuena and the Dragon Ancestor. He obeys Gu Yuena immediately, accepts correction without resistance, and places avoiding disturbance to the progenitor above his own safety. His decision to spare Tang Hao also reflects his respect for Xiao Wu’s newly established position among the Dragon Ancestor’s followers 15 16 19 20.
Abilities & Skills
Draconic Power and Transformation
Di Tian possesses eight hundred thousand years of cultivation and a pure Black Dragon King bloodline 15.

Spatial Movement

- Gu Yuena — His sovereign. Although publicly recognized as the soul beasts’ supreme ruler, Di Tian serves her directly and addresses her as “my lord” 15 19.
- Gu Xian / Dragon Ancestor — Object of his worship and the being whose resting place he protects. Di Tian initially views him as protection against humanity and the Divine Realm, but later struggles to survive his bodily expansion 15 25.
- Xiao Wu — A junior soul beast whose plea persuades him to spare Tang Hao; he recognizes her fortune in receiving the Dragon Ancestor’s blood qi 16.
- Tang Hao — An intruder he defeats and cripples. Tang Hao retaliates indirectly by spreading false claims about Di Tian’s cultivation and a godhood-granting treasure 16 17.
