Background / History

Sect upbringing and departure

Ning Rongrong grew up heavily protected within the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Chen Xin and Gu Rong spoiled her, and her training consisted of standing safely behind others and releasing support skills. Sparring partners did not dare attack her seriously, leaving her without meaningful combat experience 67.

She secretly left the sect to prove herself rather than rely on her family. Her ambition was to fulfill a promise to Ning Fengzhi: lead the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to its peak 63.

Unknown to her, Ning Fengzhi had arranged for her protection and harsh treatment at Shrek Academy. Her guards were forbidden to intervene unless her life or talent was endangered, while Flender had promised her father that he would reform her behavior 62 71.

Friendship with Zhu Zhuqing

When Flender put Ning Rongrong down, Zhu Zhuqing defended her and declared that they would leave together if necessary. Instead of retreating to her dormitory to cry, Ning Rongrong accompanied her to the Great Soul Arena. They formed the Seven Treasure Spirit Cat combination and defeated the higher-ranked Ironblood Combination in their first team match 56.

Becoming Jiang Che’s disciple

Ning Rongrong recognized Jiang Che as Cola the Killing God and initially tried to hire him to kill Dai Mubai. After he refused, she asked him to teach her, citing Zhu Zhuqing’s improvement under his guidance 62.

She secured his instruction with a storage ring and ten thousand Gold Soul Coins. Jiang Che arranged daily meetings in the Great Soul Arena’s 201 VIP Lounge, with some weekend exceptions. Her immediate motivation was to surpass Oscar, whose superior talent as a fellow support-type Soul Master wounded her pride 63.

Jiang Che challenged her belief that strong amplification alone made an outstanding support. He arranged a team match in which Zhu Zhuqing delayed finishing her opponent, exposing Ning Rongrong’s inability to protect herself. Conflict with Shrek’s teachers

The bait strategy and withdrawal

Before Shrek’s match against the Heaven Dou Royal Team, Ning Rongrong refused Tang San’s poisoned hidden weapons and his Blue Silver Grass link. She remained eager to demonstrate her growth to Jiang Che, who was fighting for the opposing team 137 138.

During the match, Shrek’s other members took flight while Ning Rongrong was left on the ground without a Flying Sausage. Tang San had made her bait without consulting her. Her distress came chiefly from being excluded from the decision: she believed she would have cooperated if the team had discussed it with her 141.

Zhu Zhuqing returned to help, and Ning Rongrong supplied the boosts that enabled her to draw with Osler. After Zhu Zhuqing’s elimination, Ning Rongrong survived alone for over another minute before Yu Feng threw her from the arena 141 142.

The subsequent confrontation produced no satisfactory explanation. When Flender promised to inform her before using the tactic again, she was appalled that he contemplated repeating it. Refuge and return to the sect

After withdrawing, the girls sought refuge at Jiang Che’s rented house. Ning Rongrong asked about entering Heaven Dou Royal Academy, but Jiang Che said he had another arrangement. He specifically ruled out her joining the Symbiosis Cult because she was the heir to a separate sect 149.

After returning to Heaven Dou City, Ning Rongrong went home to reveal her evolved Martial Soul. Ning Fengzhi celebrated the prospect of a future sect master with the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda.
