Background / History
Reincarnation and Lanhe Village
Jiang Che reincarnated into the world of a novel he had read on Blue Star. His parents died of illness shortly after his birth, leaving village chief Old Gavin and the other Lanhe villagers to raise him. Knowing that both parents possessed Blue Silver Grass without Soul Power, he initially expected an ordinary life and wanted only peace and stability 1.
Awakening level-three innate Soul Power gave him a path to cultivation. He declined Su Yuntao’s invitation to join Spirit Hall because his knowledge of the original story made him fear becoming expendable in its future conflict. Old Gavin secured him a work-study place at Nuoding Academy, while the newly awakened Daily Shop System supplied the means to improve beyond his natural talent 2 3.
Nuoding Academy and Martial Soul Evolution
Jiang Che obtained his first ring independently using the Soul Ancestor Trial Card. He then developed his physique through pills and rejected Yu Xiaogang’s insistence that Blue Silver Grass should follow an animal-ring-based control path. His disagreements with Yu Xiaogang and clashes with Xiao Wu led to a spar against Tang San, whom he defeated despite having lower Soul Power 6 8 9 12.
At eight, Jiang Che withdrew from Nuoding Academy, stating that it could no longer provide what he needed. He returned home with books and farming tools, promised to improve Lanhe Village’s prosperity, and helped with agricultural work 13 14 15.
Using his knowledge of the original story, he had also taken Ah Yin and her right leg bone from the cave near Holy Soul Village. He eventually consumed Ah Yin and absorbed the bone, evolving his own Martial Soul into the Blue Silver Emperor 4 14 15 82.
Vast Sea City and Independent Training
In Vast Sea City, Jiang Che fought death matches to earn Skill Points and rented accommodation through Li Qianqian. After surviving a Wolf Bandit encounter with Li Kuisheng’s assistance, he freed the captive women but concealed his address from his rescuer. He later suspected that the Li Family controlled the Black Kui Underground Duel Arena 17 19 20 21.
He obtained his second ring from Razor Kelp with crucial help from a fisherman’s salt crystals. Later, despite weighing the danger of offending the Feilun Marquis Household, he intervened when its men threatened the fisherman 25 32 33.
Four years of cultivation brought him to level 27. During subsequent travels, he encountered the poisoned Zhu Zhuqing, treated her, and began instructing her in cultivation. She came to address him sincerely as her teacher 35 36 37 38 40 44.
Suotuo City and Recruitment
Jiang Che’s rapid arena victories earned him the spectator-given name “Killing God.” He defeated Tang San and Xiao Wu together, attracting both Ning Rongrong’s interest and the attention of powerful factions. He accepted Ning Rongrong as a student while recognizing that drawing her closer could weaken Shrek’s cohesion 51 52 57 62.
He rejected Spirit Hall’s offer of discipleship under a Titled Douluo and instead chose Qian Renxue, who was operating as Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. Their alliance brought protection but also surveillance 58 60.
When Tang San and Zhao Wuji attempted to seize his supposed Soul Bones, Jiang Che deliberately allowed Zhao Wuji to take a Spatial Ring as part of a scheme intended to place the bones in Tang San’s hands. The confrontation nearly became fatal before three observing Soul Saints intervened 83 84.
Heaven Dou, Chen Xin, and the Immortal Herbs
Xue Ye invested Jiang Che as the Blue Silver Earl and granted him a residence, guards, a Soul Bone, and financial support. Jiang Che recognized that the household guards could also serve as imperial observers and planted Blue Silver Grass throughout the residence to monitor its inhabitants 100 101.
He joined the Heaven Dou Royal Academy team as a power-attack and support Soul Master. His spar with Yu Tianheng demonstrated the importance of adapting Soul Skills rather than treating them as fixed techniques 103 105.
Chen Xin subsequently instructed him in weapon technique and intent. Jiang Che also secured Dugu Bo’s permission to harvest the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well’s rare plants, sharing medicinal knowledge and resources with Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan 116 121 122 127.
Symbiosis Cult and the Fourth Ring
Jiang Che revealed to Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong that he secretly led the Symbiosis Cult. He distributed Immortal Herbs, pills, and manuals to strengthen his students and subordinates. Ning Rongrong’s herb evolved her Martial Soul into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, prompting her sect to prioritize its relationship with him 145 146 155.
For his fourth ring, Jiang Che approached the Blue Silver King while presenting himself as a legitimate recipient of Ah Yin’s inheritance. The King sacrificed itself after asking him to protect the Blue Silver lineage. Its disappearance attracted four powerful Mountain-Moving Apes, forcing Jiang Che and Zhu Zhuqing to flee while Liao Wenliang held them off 160 161 162.
By this period, Zhu Zhuqing and Dugu Yan were his romantic partners. Jiang Che rejected a proposed imperial marriage, while Tang Hao’s threat forced him to seek Dugu Bo’s protection. Qian Renxue attempted to arrange mediation through Tang Yuehua, who said she could neither control Tang Hao nor reliably locate him 165 167.
Appearance
Jiang Che’s appearance changes substantially as his Martial Soul evolves 16 48.
- Childhood: Fine dark hair, wheat-colored skin, and coarse hemp clothing 1.
- Later appearance: Fair skin and striking dark-blue hair; repeatedly described as handsome 16 28 122.
- Height: Reaches 1.75 meters after the four-year period of cultivation 35.
- Eyes: Show blue-gold light after absorbing the right leg bone; become almost pure gold with vertical pupils during his fourth-ring breakthrough 15 162.
- Arena attire: Uses masks to conceal his identity, including a white mask against Tang San and Xiao Wu and a black mask during later arena visits 53 60.
Personality
Jiang Che is cautious, secretive, and practical. He checks claims rather than accepting them, studies escape routes before intervening, and conceals the Blue Silver Emperor’s identity to avoid attracting Tang Hao. His courtesy toward powerful figures is carefully balanced rather than openly submissive 23 32 58 102.
His gratitude is strongest toward those who supported him. He repays Lanhe Village through supplies and labor, rewards dependable subordinates, and shares valuable herbs with allies. These gifts can also serve calculated purposes, including securing loyalty and strengthening his organization 13 14 15 120 145 155.
He is ruthless when pursuing power or eliminating risks. He kills arena opponents and Soul Beasts for Skill Points, consumes Ah Yin to advance his Martial Soul, and deceives the Blue Silver King about the origin of his inheritance. His opposition to Tang San includes deliberate efforts to weaken Shrek’s unity 15 17 29 61 62 161.
Although initially content with the prospect of a quiet life, Jiang Che persists through punishing training. Under Chen Xin, he identifies his reason for growing stronger as freedom from restraint, which accelerates his progress in blade technique 1 11 121 122.

Blue Silver Domain
Acquired through the Blue Silver King’s sacrifice 162.
- Increases all attributes by 50% within its range.
- Suppresses plant-type Soul Masters and Soul Beasts.
- Grants Unyielding, which gradually increases strength, speed, or defense.
- Unyielding adds 0.5% approximately every ninety seconds to a randomly selected attribute, making it too slow to reliably overcome a large power disparity 162.
Qi Condensation Shield and True Qi
An otherworldly cultivation technique introduces True Qi into his body and allows him to form a protective shield 11.
- Blocks Tang San’s Sleeve Arrows and other hidden weapons, including the Back-Mounted Flower Crossbow 12 55.
- Can be projected outward as a moving shield and used to conceal a follow-up attack 12.
- Supports sensing nearby air disturbances without relying on sight 22.
- Reaches five minutes of full-power operation by his Heaven Dou Royal Academy confrontation 112.
- Does not negate all impact: sufficiently powerful strikes can throw him backward and injure him despite the shield 24 35.
Blade Techniques and Intent
Jiang Che purchases Lingyun Flower Rain Blade, a three-form technique, for 6,000 Skill Points and develops it through combat and Chen Xin’s instruction 35 116 122.
- Blade Force: Enhances a weapon’s cutting power and can be released as a ranged attack 45 117.
- Flying Flowers Soar to the Clouds: First form; releases widespread Blade Force and Water Blades. Powerful enough to briefly threaten a Soul Ancestor while he is a Soul Grandmaster, but heavily drains his True Qi 84 85.
- Flower Rain Seals the Heavens: Second form, fully mastered under Chen Xin 122.
- Intent: His understanding advances after clarifying his pursuit of freedom; by level 40, he has mastered most of the complete technique 122 159.
- Combat approach: Combines vines, kicks, blades, and feints to exploit openings rather than relying on straightforward exchanges 105.
Star Wheel Rotation
A self-created technique that turns vitality condensed from Blue Silver Emperor leaves into fine needles within a rotating wheel 18.
- Uses high-frequency resonance to shred material caught in its area.
- Can combine binding vines with a grinding attack against trapped enemies.
- Initially threatens five-hundred-year Soul Beasts; Jiang Che develops it with stronger ring-enhanced toughness and sharpness in mind.
- Requires preparation and sufficient remaining Soul Power 18 35.
Starry Eyes
An ocular ability used to read attacks and defend against concealed weapons 53 55.
