A word from the author: tips and controversial plot points

Before today's update, I'm posting a standalone note, mainly to talk about tips.

First, thank you to the generous readers who tipped me. I'm very, very grateful.

But this book debuted on QQ, and I can only update two chapters a day. Posting more would affect its popularity among members, so all I can say is that I'll try to adjust the word count of each chapter. I'm very sorry about that.

Every time I see a tip notification on the dashboard, I feel both excited and embarrassed.

I'm not going to tell everyone not to tip, either. I write books because I want to make money. If you're sitting on a gold mine, then please, keep going!

If not, please be sensible. Enjoying the story is the best support you can give me.

That's all about tips. Now, a few words from the heart.

I'm a flop of a writer. For this book to achieve these results, ninety percent of it was luck. I'm anxious and apprehensive every day, checking the stats who knows how many times a day.

The emotional swings those fluctuating stats bring are like being in love, putting me through heaven and hell.

I don't dare open the comments, and I don't dare look too closely at each chapter's completion rate, either. My state of mind is constantly somewhere between having exploded and not quite having exploded.

But please believe me: I will write the best story I think I can. Getting results even once isn't easy, and I value this more than anyone.

If anything is poorly written, all I can say is that my skills aren't there yet, and I've let down your expectations.

Also, regarding the part with Zhu Zhuqing, opinions on her character are far too polarized.

A lot of people said it made no sense for Zhu Zhuqing to appear at Wuzhuang Temple.

I need to explain here that Zhu Zhuqing cannot join Wuzhuang Temple. Whether I like her character or not, she simply isn't of a high enough caliber for Wuzhuang Temple.

Even Qian Renxue has to proceed step by step, in the proper order. Everyone else can forget about reaching the heavens in a single bound.

Having Zhu Zhuqing appear at Wuzhuang Temple was my mistake. Whether you say I didn't think it through or that I wanted to use this to attract more readers, I accept it all.

Zhu Zhuqing will have a suitable place to go. Please keep reading at your own pace; everything will be explained little by little.
