Background / History

Undercover Mission and Ascension

Qian Renxue spent years impersonating Xue Qinghe as part of Spirit Hall's plan to seize the Heaven Dou Empire. The heavenly broadcast exposed her identity, ending the operation before her ascension. She ordered Snake Lance Douluo to return to Spirit Hall and entered the Primordial World alongside Xiao Wu, Tai Tan, and Ma Hongjun 1 2.

After arriving, she concealed her appearance and approached Qingshui Village. Its Earth God, Earth Granny, registered her as a resident and warned that an unregistered person could become a wandering ghost after death. Qian Renxue offered her the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud in gratitude, enraging Emperor Xue Ye, whose national treasure it was 6.

Temple Keeper and the Tiger Demon Campaign

With her infiltration mission ruined, Qian Renxue redirected her ambition toward becoming a god of the Primordial World. Earth Granny accepted her as a temple keeper, taught her an orthodox cultivation method, and arranged work with the Underworld Bureaucracy. Her duties included assisting constables in collecting souls and escorting elderly people whose lifespans had ended 7 8 16 22.

When a tiger demon killed Qingshi Village's Earth God, Qian Renxue volunteered for the campaign against it. While the City God's forces fought the demon, she entered its temple, killed two guarding Grievance Ghosts, and destroyed its statue and spirit tablet. She completed the task despite a soul attack that left her unconscious. The City God preserved her soul with Soul-Nourishing Incense, and her service earned her a divine appointment 19 20 21.

Service at Flower-Fruit Mountain

Qian Renxue accepted the dangerous eighth-rank posting at Flower-Fruit Mountain rather than the safer ninth-rank vacancy in Qingshi Village. After receiving her official register, she established her Vihara, erected a divine statue, studied her spells and regulations, and inspected the mountain's earth veins. She initially maintained a cautious understanding with the resident monkeys, avoiding interference in their affairs 22 25.

Sun Wukong's return drew her into his rebellion against Heaven. He gave her immortal wine and a peach, but she refused to accept stolen goods and urged him to reconsider. Nezha removed her from the battlefield when the Heavenly Court's army arrived. After witnessing Sun Wukong's capture, she returned to a devastated mountain, saddened by his fall despite her loyalty to the Heavenly Court 26 27 29.

Nezha allowed her to keep the gifts. Refining the wine advanced her to Refining Spirit and Returning to Emptiness. Di Tian subsequently sought refuge with her and helped restore the mountain's earth qi 29 31 36 37 39.

Transfer to Five Finger Mountain

Yang Jian recommended Qian Renxue for responsibility at Five Finger Mountain. Li Xuanji approved the appointment, promoting her to seventh rank and ordering her immediate transfer. Di Tian accompanied her 39.

At the mountain, she reunited with the imprisoned Sun Wukong and returned the Peach of Immortality he had given her. Her acquaintance with Nezha also led to an audience with Nüwa, who asked her to consider arranging an entertaining Soul Master Tournament 41 43.

Soul Master Tournament

Qian Renxue enlisted the Douluo Star Will to select high-status ascenders with complicated relationships, prioritizing entertainment for Nüwa over the competition itself. She built a kilometer-square arena at Five Finger Mountain and secured Sun Wukong's help in inviting Yang Jian and Nezha 62 63.

The plan backfired emotionally when the selected arrivals included Bibi Dong and the Golden Iron Triangle. Qian Renxue realized that her own family history would become part of the spectacle. Unable to cancel the announced tournament, she borrowed Sun Wukong's Ruyi Golden Cudgel to ensure she could control proceedings 64 75 76.

During the gathering, Bibi Dong publicly identified her as her daughter, while Yu Xiaogang's accusations exposed his past connection to Bibi Dong. Qian Renxue silenced the disruption with the Golden Cudgel and welcomed Yang Jian and Nezha as judges. The event attracted spectators throughout the Heavenly Court 81.

Her eventual match against Bibi Dong became an outlet for years of resentment. Qian Renxue enclosed her mother in enormous Golden Cudgels and repeatedly struck her between them. She stopped under the tournament's prohibition on killing, then discreetly appealed to the judges for help healing Bibi Dong. Although she did not openly reconcile with her mother, she regretted striking so hard. She awarded Bibi Dong eight points and took the stage to face the remaining challengers 90 91 92.

Appearance

Qian Renxue has golden hair and a beauty she deliberately conceals when she lacks the strength to protect herself 14 64.

• Early disguises: Uses her Soul Bone's effect to impersonate Xue Qinghe and later adopt an unremarkable appearance 1 6.
• Veil: Covers her face with cloth after switching cultivation paths removes her ability to disguise herself 14.

Personality

Qian Renxue combines caution with a willingness to take calculated risks. She conceals her beauty, avoids provoking Flower-Fruit Mountain's monkeys, and recognizes how little power she holds beside the great gods. Nevertheless, she volunteers for a potentially fatal mission and accepts a dangerous posting because she sees advancement as worth the risk 6 14 19 22 25.

She takes her legitimacy as a Heavenly Court official seriously. Although tempted by Sun Wukong's gifts, she refuses to endorse his rebellion or knowingly accept stolen goods. At the same time, her years impersonating a crown prince make her attentive to hierarchy, political opportunity, and the value of attracting powerful patrons 22 27 62.

Her composure is weakest around Bibi Dong. She longs for maternal affection but interprets her mother's tenderness as manipulation, recalling years of rejection and comparing herself with those Bibi Dong treated affectionately. Her anger does not erase her attachment: after severely injuring Bibi Dong, she feels regret and seeks help without approaching her openly 90 92.
