Once her master left, Xue Fuyao sprang into action as well. With the Heavenly Eye, she had essentially pinpointed the locations of the two Divine Beasts' lairs, but she did not dare observe the beasts themselves. She kept feeling that the moment she dared look, they would immediately notice something amiss. She did not dare gamble on how keen their senses were.
She found a relatively safe spot close to the Divine Beasts' lairs, making it easier for her to act.
Based on her observations, the two Divine Beasts here seemed to have separate lairs.
"I thought they were a couple."
They were a Dragon and a Phoenix, after all, but now that did not seem to be the case.
Although the two lairs were fairly close, they were not right beside each other. It looked like she would have to visit two places this time. She had to pick up the pace.
With that thought, Xue Fuyao took Big Treasure out.
Big Treasure still looked half-dead. It seemed she could not count on Big Treasure.
"Look at you. Just one Divine Beast scared you into this state. How are you going to roam to the ends of the earth with me in the future?" Xue Fuyao lectured.
"Squeak." Big Treasure gave a feeble cry at her words, then closed those eyes again and continued playing dead.
After she put Big Treasure back into the Spirit Beast Pouch, a little more time passed before an earth-shaking explosion suddenly rang out in the distance, immediately followed by two roars that resounded through heaven and earth, along with the sounds of battle.
A golden barrier and the deep blue Water Silk appeared around Xue Fuyao, counteracting the Divine Beasts' pressure and allowing her to see what was happening in the sky.
