At those words, Yunye moved to slit Xueheng's throat with the sword in his hand.

Just then, Yunye's hand actually released the sword. It fell to the ground with a crisp clang, while the savage, all-or-nothing expression still on his face looked especially ridiculous.
Yunye's expression shifted from savagery to horror. He stared at the hands that had just held his sword. He could no longer feel them at all.
His hands were clearly right there, yet they felt like someone else's. He had completely lost control of them.
And not just his hands. To his horror, he discovered that his awareness of his body was gradually fading.
"What did you do?" the old man demanded harshly.
"Nothing much. I just had my little butterfly flap its wings in front of you. Why would I show myself without taking every precaution?" Xue Fuyao said, looking at him as though he were an idiot.
Shadow Three went to the cage and carried out the still-unconscious Xueheng.
"Wait, I can tell you everything I know! Don't you want to know why I abducted Xueheng? As long as you spare me, I... mmph, mmph!"
Before he could finish, Xue Fuyao clamped a hand around his mouth, preventing him from uttering another word.
"Shh. You're really noisy. Even if you don't talk, I can still learn what I want to know. Did you really think knowing a few secrets would give you a token of immunity from death?"
Anger showed on Xue Fuyao's face, and a powerful suction suddenly erupted from her palm.
Once the old man realized what she was doing, terror filled his eyes. It did not last long, however, before that terror turned to emptiness.
After looking through the old man's memories, Xue Fuyao's brows knitted tightly.
