At those words, Xue Fuyao froze for a moment. Then a bolt of lightning struck toward her, only to be repelled by an invisible gust of wind the instant it touched her.
Seeing this, she glanced at Big Treasure in her arms. There were no purple bugs inside her, but there were plenty inside Big Treasure, and they could still draw lightning down on her.
"Sigh."
Xue Fuyao sighed but did not put Big Treasure away. As long as the lightning did not strike them, these bugs would not grow anyway.
Stepping out from behind the rock where she had hidden, Xue Fuyao walked up to the group.
"You're that person from the ship. Why did you come down here?" one of the young men asked.
Xue Fuyao folded her arms across her chest and said, "The Wind-Thunder Plains don't belong to your family. I can come here whenever I like. Do I have to report to you?"
The young man's face alternated between green and white at her retort. In the end, he shot her a vicious glare without saying anything.
"Everyone, meeting is a matter of fate. Rather than fight among ourselves here, why don't we work together to find a way out?"
"I refuse." Xue Fuyao glanced at the speaker.
Earlier, she had only looked at him from a distance. Now that she was closer, she found that although he was handsome, his smile did not reach his eyes, making him seem utterly false.
At Xue Fuyao's words, the man's expression stiffened, and a vicious gleam flashed through his eyes.
Seeing this, Xue Fuyao looked at him provocatively and said, "I jumped down here myself in the first place. Why would I want to leave?"
"You jumped down yourself? You're courting death!" someone behind the man said.
