An omen in the heavens

With the Heavenly Eye, disguises were, if not completely useless before her, then close to it.

However, not everything could be taken away. Some opportunities were extremely tempting, but their guardian Monster Beasts or the conditions for obtaining them were fraught with danger. Faced with opportunities like these, Xue Fuyao generally chose to pass them by.

Tempting as those opportunities were, her own life mattered more.

Besides, although these opportunities were rare, they did not suit her, nor were they so rare that they warranted risking her life for an attempt.

Not long after Xue Fuyao left the Demon Beast Forest, she spotted two figures in the distance racing toward her.

One figure wore white, the other red. The girl in white was in front, and the girl in red was behind. As they fled, both kept glancing back from time to time, constantly blaming each other.

Behind them was a mass of something yellow.

When Xue Fuyao finally made out who they were, she was rather speechless. How had she run into these two? Still, that was fine. She could see whether she could deal with them along the way.

She was unsure about Ye Qinxuan, but Ye Qinfei had shown her outright hostility. Moreover, she had not forgotten Ye Qinfei's little maneuver before they entered the secret realm.

Ye Qinfei had clearly done it on purpose. Although Xue Fuyao was not certain whether her guess was correct, it was not the ten thousand possibilities one feared, but the one exception.

Since the other party had already made a move against her, it seemed only reasonable to return the favor.

With that thought, Xue Fuyao concealed her presence, keeping the two fleeing girls from noticing her.

By then, Xue Fuyao finally saw exactly what that yellow mass pursuing them was.

It was a swarm of bees with entirely golden bodies.

Although most bees had some yellow on them, these bees were different. Their entire bodies were pure gold in color, without the slightest impurity, as though they had been forged from gold. Hence their name, Golden Bees.

These bees ranked tenth on the list of venomous creatures because they usually appeared in swarms. Once one attacked, the other Golden Bees would instantly swarm in.

At the same time, Golden Bee venom was nothing ordinary bee venom could compare to. Anyone stung by a Golden Bee would suffer incomparable pain.

According to records, this pain was worse than being cut to pieces by a thousand blades. The bones inside the body would deform, and the flesh would begin to swell.

Golden Bee venom could be said to destroy a person utterly, from the inside out. However, according to records, most people poisoned by Golden Bees did not die from the venom, but killed themselves because they could not endure the pain.

There was no antidote to Golden Bee venom. Golden Bees were rare to begin with, and ordinary people would not recklessly provoke them, so a little caution was enough to avoid being poisoned. Thus, no one had specifically researched an antidote to Golden Bee venom. As a result, once someone was accidentally poisoned, they could only ease the pain, not completely remove the poison.

Watching the two being pursued by Golden Bees, Xue Fuyao suddenly felt that even without her doing anything, they seemed unfortunate enough already.

Besides, what if the Golden Bees noticed her if she acted now?

With that thought, Xue Fuyao concealed her presence even more thoroughly.

Only after the Golden Bees had chased Ye Qinxuan and Ye Qinfei far away did Xue Fuyao reveal herself and head in the direction the two had come from.

As she walked, Xue Fuyao looked up at the sky.

The sky was azure, no different from when she had first entered, but in Xue Fuyao's eyes, it had already changed.

At some unknown point, a layer of colorful mist had appeared across the azure sky, as though a veil of multicolored clouds had been draped over it.

An omen had appeared in the heavens. This heralded the emergence of a treasure.

She had to hurry over while the omen was still not particularly obvious.

As she traveled, Xue Fuyao soon discovered that she was not alone. Some keen-sensed Monster Beasts had evidently noticed the omen in the sky as well and were rushing toward its source.

If she could beat these Monster Beasts, Xue Fuyao fought them to give the Demon-Suppressing Bracelet an extra meal. If she could not, she simply hid.

Moreover, since the omen was not yet obvious, even the weaker Monster Beasts capable of noticing it had extraordinary bloodlines.

Several hours later, Xue Fuyao finally reached her destination.

A multicolored barrier appeared before her.

As one of the earliest people to arrive, Xue Fuyao discovered that quite a few Monster Beasts had already gathered here. Every one of them gazed longingly into the barrier, a trace of reverence mingled with that longing.

Xue Fuyao looked at the Monster Beasts standing or crouching in place, then raised her gaze to look inside the barrier.

Golden light flashed in her eyes.

When she clearly saw what lay inside the barrier, Xue Fuyao could not help being startled.

Divine Spirit Fruit... found it!

Although she had planned to spend the coming days searching for the Divine Spirit Fruit Tree, she had never expected to find it so smoothly.

Through the Heavenly Eye, Xue Fuyao saw that inside the barrier was an enormous medicinal garden. Moreover, the barrier seemed to contain space law; the actual space inside differed vastly from the size the barrier appeared to enclose.

It could practically be called a small world unto itself. That alone showed just how vast the space inside was.

At the very center of the medicinal garden grew an immensely tall divine tree that blotted out the sky and sun. It was none other than the Divine Spirit Fruit Tree.

On the tree were five Divine Spirit Fruits nearing maturity.

Looking at the Divine Spirit Fruits about to ripen inside the barrier, then at the impatient Monster Beasts outside, it was obvious that they had all come for the Divine Spirit Fruits.

Just then, seven-colored radiance burst out around the barrier once again, completely dyeing the formerly azure sky in a multitude of colors.

Watching this, Xue Fuyao thought, Well, now everyone in the secret realm will probably be drawn here.

Still, it's just as well if they come. With so many Monster Beasts here, I might not be able to snatch anything on my own.

Just as all the Monster Beasts once again prostrated themselves in worship before the seven-colored radiance, Xue Fuyao concealed her presence and moved to a certain spot.

Not far from that spot, a Golden Bee with an entirely golden body, but several times larger than an ordinary Golden Bee, hovered in midair, completely unaware that someone was approaching.

Seizing the opportunity, Xue Fuyao took out a white porcelain bottle, caught the Golden Bee Queen directly inside it, and sealed the opening.

Looking at the faintly trembling white porcelain bottle in her hand, Xue Fuyao chuckled. "Got you."

She had only meant to give it a try and had not expected to actually succeed.

"From now on, behave yourself and stay with me. I guarantee you'll feast on fine food and drink," Xue Fuyao whispered to the white porcelain bottle.
