Odin's terror, cracks in the seal of the Underworld Abyss
Asgard, deep within the Golden Palace.
Heavy, rapid breathing, like a broken bellows, shattered the deathly silence of the bedchamber. All-Father Odin, abruptly sat up from his golden couch, his single remaining eye fixed on the void, his withered chest heaving violently.
Cold sweat dripped down his aged face, splashing onto the silk quilt with gold thread, leaving a dark stain. The incense that usually calmed him now made him feel intensely nauseous.
"Impossible..." Odin's cracked lips trembled violently, and his withered fingers gripped the edge of the bed tightly, his knuckles turning bluish-white from the force.
He could clearly feel that the spiritual imprint he had left deep within the core of the Destroyer had been ruthlessly and brutally extinguished, as if crushing an ant with bare hands, leaving no room for resistance whatsoever.
But what chilled this overlord of the Nine Realms to the bone was not the Destroyer's destruction. The Ancient One, that old monster, was hiding on Earth, so the destruction of his weapon was to be expected.
What truly plunged him into an icy abyss was the aura that surged back from the spiritual connection.
Cold, brutal, and imbued with an endless desire for destruction and an arrogance that places it above all living beings.
That's the pure Origin of Death. That's the smell of Hela!
"Your Majesty!" Hearing the commotion, the golden-armored guards outside the door pushed open the heavy palace doors and rushed in.
"Get out!" Odin roared, grabbing the golden cup beside him and smashing it to the ground.
The crisp cracking sound sent a shiver down the guard's spine, and he scrambled out, hurriedly slamming the palace door shut behind him.
Odin closed his single eye, disregarding his extreme weakness, and forcefully mobilized his Odinforce. Golden divine light gathered in his palm, and his divine sense instantly traversed the endless void, plummeting like a meteor to Asgard, the deepest level of Helheim.
The sight before him made Odin's heart clench.
The thousand-year seal he had set up, using up most of his life's essence, was now covered with spiderweb-like cracks. Blinding black energy was gushing outwards wildly along the cracks, each eruption accompanied by a muffled roar that shook the entire Underworld.
"She's gone mad... has she gone mad?!" Odin exclaimed in shock.
He sensed the emotions emanating from the other end of the seal. It was not the arrogance and desire for conquest that belonged to the Goddess of Death that he was familiar with.
It was an extremely twisted despair. A mad obsession born from the loss of a beloved, a desire to drag the entire universe down to Hell to be buried with them!
The gaze pierced through the shattered seal, reaching straight into the Abyss of the Underworld.
There was no light, no warmth, only endless stench and death. Thick frost covered the black rocks, and the air was thick with the pungent smell of sulfur.
Hela was trapped on the Obsidian Throne in the center. Four Dark Gold Chains, each as thick as a child's arm, bound her limbs, while a fifth chain pierced through her collarbone.
But at this moment, this tyrant who once made the Nine Realms tremble was like a mad girl who had lost her beloved toy, her whole body convulsing violently.
"Lynn... Lynn..."
Her hair was disheveled, her pale lips were bitten raw and bloody, and black divine blood dripped down her chin, corroding the rocks and producing a pungent white smoke.
In her mind, that memory that had been inserted out of nowhere was replaying wildly.
The scene in her memory was so vivid. So vivid that she could even smell the faint scent of tobacco on the man and feel the rough texture of his hand stroking her cheek.
That ordinary man in the black shirt, seemingly as weak as an insect, dared to cup her face in his mud-covered hands, see through her loneliness, and tear away her disguise.
He refused her gift, but at the moment the Gungnir fell, he roughly pushed her away, spread his arms, and used his fragile flesh and blood to block the fatal Divine Punishment.
Amidst the swirling dust, he fell into her arms, a damnably tender smile playing on his lips.
'Don't be afraid, I'll be waiting for you at the end of death.'
These words, like a rusty iron nail coated with deadly poison, were driven deep into Hela's heart, which had been frozen for thousands of years.
pain.
It is a million times more painful than being betrayed by Odin, stripped of divine power, and cast into this dark Abyss!
"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!"
Hela suddenly raised her head and let out a piercingly shrill scream.
The skin around her eyes cracked and split, and what flowed out was no longer tears, but the thick, inky Origin of Death.
"How dare you die like this?" Hela's fingers gripped the Obsidian armrest so tightly that her nails broke and bled profusely. "You angered the Deity, you stole my heart, and then you just turned to ashes?"
The extreme pain, reaching its peak, rebounded from its lowest point and transformed into a twisted, morbid possessiveness.
"Who dares to take you away from me? Not Odin! Not fate! Not even death itself!"
Hela struggled forward violently, the Dark Gold Chains piercing her collarbone taut and screeching. Flesh was torn apart, revealing stark white bone fragments, but she didn't even flinch.
Odin, suspended in the sky above the Underworld, looked down at his eldest daughter, who had fallen into madness, and felt a chill run through him.
He saw Hela burning her soul.
This is a suicidal act! In order to break the seal, she actually gave up the essence she had cultivated over millions of years!
"Rebellious daughter! Stop!" Odin roared like Thunder, his golden divine power transforming into a gigantic handprint that slammed into the seal crack, attempting to suppress it once more.
However, Hela suddenly raised her head.
That pale, blood-stained face was filled with a chilling ferocity.
"Get out of here, you old man."
She didn't use any magic; purely driven by her terrifying obsession to win back her lover, she arched her back sharply upwards.
"Zheng--"
Black divine blood gushed out like a waterfall, splashing onto the sealing Magic Array. Within that blood lay her morbid obsession and madness for Lynn.
"Hiss hiss hiss!"
The golden Odinforce, upon contact with this blood, quickly dimmed and dissolved as if corroded by strong acid!
"Ah!" Odin's consciousness let out a miserable cry, directly shattered by this unreasonable obsession.
Inside the Golden Palace's bedchamber, Odin suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood, staining his robes crimson. He trembled as he reached out, trying to grasp the Gungnir at the head of the bed.
But that divine artifact, which once symbolized absolute power in the Nine Realms, was now humming slightly.
It was afraid. As the weapon that had once pierced the chest of that mortal, the weapon spirit sensed the ultimate killing intent directed at it from the deepest recesses of the Underworld.
"Send the order..." Odin's voice was hoarse, like a tattered rag tearing apart, "Seal off the Bifrost... Prepare the entire army for battle..."
The Abyss of the Underworld.
Without the suppression of Odinforce, the cracks in the sealing Magic Array began to spread wildly.
Hela gasped for breath, her chest a bloody mess.
Suddenly, her keen sense of smell pierced through the barriers of multiple Dimension, catching a faint yet incredibly familiar scent.
That was Lynn's scent.
It was a mixture of Death Energy, the smell of engine oil, and a hint of... another woman's scent.
Other women?
Hela's movements suddenly froze.
The black energy deep within the pupils suddenly went berserk, and the surrounding temperature plummeted to Absolute Zero in an instant.
"Another woman... touched him?"
Hela murmured to herself, her voice so soft it sounded like a sigh. But the next second, her features contorted into a grotesque grimace.
"Kill them all... break his arms and legs... lock him beneath my Throne... forever... forever only to look at me!"
Boom!
A black beam of light erupted from Hela's body, striking the crumbling thousand-year-old seal directly.
"Crack--- Rumble!"
With a deafening roar, the seal Odin had placed was completely shattered!
The broken chains crashed to the ground. Hela slowly stood up, black Death Energy frantically gathering around her, transforming into a brand new, ferocious set of black spiked armor. Her disheveled black hair stood on end, transforming into a spiked Crown symbolizing death and power.
A massive black rift stretched across the Underworld, like the gaping maw of Abyss.
In absolute darkness, a pair of blood- Scarlet eyes, filled with endless violence and madness, suddenly opened.
"I've found you, my King Consort."
A shrill, manic, and chilling laugh erupted from the bottom of the Abyss, bursting out along the shattered cracks and echoing throughout the entire Nine Realms.
