A Yandere's Humble Submission, the Collapse of Mutant Faith
The world begins to turn again.
The suppressed gale resumed its howling, its biting chill brushing against the cheeks of every Survivor. The rubble of buildings, suspended in mid-air, no longer supported by the invisible force, continued its desperate descent into the bottomless clouds, eventually swallowed by the darkness and falling silent.
Everything returned to normal, except for those two beings in the sky.
The raging Scarlet Chaos Energy was extinguished.
The dark, deathly clouds that had blotted out the sky dissipated.
Those two terrifying powers, enough to make even Skyfather-level expert take notice, were forcibly stuffed back into their bodies by their masters as if they had never existed, not daring to reveal themselves in the slightest.
Wanda Maximoff and Hela Odinson remained suspended in their original positions, motionless, like two exquisite dolls from which all their souls had been extracted.
That arrogant, haughty, and overbearing expression had long since vanished.
"... You're breaking my things."
Lynn's cold, emotionless oracle echoed in their minds like the most malevolent curse.
Damage... my things...
Boom!
Wanda's body trembled uncontrollably, and for the first time, a feeling called "terror" appeared in her Scarlet eyes.
She messed up.
She just wanted to prove that she was better able to protect Lynn's assets than that old woman; she just wanted Lynn to see that she was the most perfect and irreplaceable one.
But now... Lynn says she's "breaking" his things.
This word pierced her heart more than any vicious curse. It meant that, in Lynn's eyes, her actions had not added anything positive, but rather caused damage. She had not pleased him, but instead... annoyed him.
The thought of Lynn looking at her with that disgusted, cold gaze made Wanda feel as if an invisible hand was gripping her heart tightly, making it difficult to even breathe.
No... don't...
On the other hand, Hela's condition was equally bad, or even worse.
As a former Executioner of Asgard, Conqueror of the Nine Realms, Odin's eldest daughter, and the embodiment of death, the word "fear" has never existed in her dictionary.
But now, a fear even deeper than the one that Odin had sealed away for a thousand years was growing wildly from the depths of her soul.
She actually... disappointed the king.
The man who shielded her from the Gungnir in the Underworld, rescuing her from millennia of loneliness; the man who crushed her Deity arrogance with the most domineering attitude, yet made her pathologically obsessed.
She came with great joy, wanting to present him with the most perfect spoils of war and to demonstrate her decisive and unparalleled value to him.
But in the end, she and another woman, like two shrewish women, got into a huge fight over a toy, and almost destroyed it.
How foolish! How ridiculous!
Hela didn't even dare to imagine the cold indifference Lynn was showing in New York at that moment as he "watched" her clumsy performance.
That awe and possessiveness that came from the depths of the soul, under the judgment of the oracle, was completely transformed into the most humble fear of being abandoned.
Under the horrified gazes of all the Mutants, an unbelievable scene unfolded.
Above the sky.
Wanda, the Scarlet Witch had just stirred up a storm and regarded all living beings as ants, slowly withdrew all her outward energy. Her pale, bloodless face was filled with fear and self-reproach.
Then, facing the empty void, she slowly and proudly bent her knees.
He knelt down mid-air.
Immediately afterwards, Hela, the Goddess of Death was dressed in black as night and had just pronounced the fate of all living beings, also dispelled the last trace of Death Energy around her. She put away all her Deity demeanor, and only humility and pleading remained in her dark green eyes.
Following Wanda's lead, she also lowered her noble head, which she had never bowed to Odin, towards that void.
Kneel down on both knees.
No words were spoken.
There was no explanation.
At this moment, they were no longer Chaos Witch distorted reality, nor were they queens of the Underworld who held the power of death.
They were just two... poor pets who had done something wrong and were afraid of being punished by their owner.
They knelt humbly in the air, letting the cold wind tousle their hair, not daring to lift their heads, quietly awaiting the final judgment that had crossed space.
This scene completely shattered the last shred of hope among all the surviving Mutants on the ground.
Scott Summers Summers was pinned to the ground by four Night Sky Sword, unable to move. He couldn't even feel the excruciating pain in his limbs; he just stared blankly at the sky.
What did he see?
Is God... kneeling?
Those two terrifying beings who treated them as playthings and nearly tore the entire Academy to pieces in their struggle for "Custody Rights" were now kneeling there, trembling like the most devout believers.
To whom should I kneel?
To that "master" whose voice is heard but whose face is never seen...
A chill colder than death instantly swept over Scott Summers's entire body.
He finally understood.
They were wrong from the start.
They believed it was an invasion of Xavier's School by two Deity.
They believed this was yet another existential crisis facing the Mutants race.
ridiculous.
How ridiculous!
They don't even qualify to be enemies.
They were merely "things," "assets," the possessions of that unknown entity. And the two Deity before them were nothing more than servants sent to receive those assets...
Now, the servant is apologizing to his master for his poor performance.
Professor Charles Xavier's ideal... a future where Mutants coexist peacefully... everything the X-Men fought for...
At this moment, at this moment of witnessing the Deity kneeling in humility, everything else turned into a complete and utterly absurd joke.
In Scott Summers's eyes, the last glimmer of light had been completely extinguished.
Instead, there was an endless, Abyss numbness and despair.
It wasn't just him.
Collapsed on the ground, Ororo stared at the two humble figures in the sky, her delicate body trembling violently. It wasn't anger, nor resentment, but a shudder that came from witnessing a higher level of reality, a utter upheaval that completely shattered her worldview...
The rest of the X-Men, the surviving students—everyone had the same expression on their face.
Horror, bewilderment, and... utter surrender after the collapse of faith.
It turns out that above gods, there are gods.
It turns out that their fate was never in their own hands from beginning to end.
Rebellion?
What can we use to resist?
When even the Deity who control death and Chaos can only kneel in humility, what are these so-called Mutants powerhouses?
dust.
Just as the oracle had said.
To surrender, or to turn to dust.
The answer is self-evident.
High in the sky, Wanda and Hela remained kneeling, not daring to make the slightest move.
Time passed second by second, each second feeling like an eternity.
Lynn did not issue any further instructions.
This silence was more agonizing to them than any harsh reprimand.
Their hearts sank lower and lower as they frantically pondered how to atone for their mistakes and how to regain their master's favor.
Just then, out of the corner of her Hela caught a glimpse of the dilapidated Academy suspended in the air below.
assets...
Yes! Assets!
If these assets can be brought back to the king intact, perhaps... we can make amends!
With this thought in mind, a glimmer of hope rekindled in Hela's heart.
At almost the same time, Wanda thought of the same thing.
The two of them, without prior arrangement, slowly raised their heads, their gazes meeting once more across the void.
But this time, the hostility and murderous intent in their eyes were gone.
Instead, a completely new, more frenzied, and tacitly understood competitive spirit has emerged.
They wanted to prove to Lynn who the most capable, efficient, and trustworthy "porter" was!
How could this massive Mutants Academy, weighing millions of tons, along with all its "assets," be precisely transported back to New York over a distance of hundreds of kilometers?
A brand new, ultimate competition revolving around "Moving Efficiency" is about to begin.
