The Time Guards Captured, Interrogation Results Beyond Expectations
The orange portal of light is like a scar carved into reality.
Inside the door was a neat and solemn office environment, which clashed with the dilapidated state of the abandoned factory.
Two figures walked out of the door.
They wore uniforms of unknown material, with clean lines, and carried some incomprehensible equipment. Their expressions were calm, even carrying a kind of indifference unique to those who had long dealt with similar matters.
One of them raised his wrist, looking at the pale blue light screen projected onto it.
"Potential source confirmed. Target: Mutants C-27, unregistered. Solution: Prune."
The other man nodded and took a short stick from his waist. The stick extended with a "hum," and an ominous orange light shone from its tip.
They were just like two ordinary grassroots law enforcement officers, coming to handle a traffic violation, following standard procedures and performing their actions skillfully.
They were completely unaware of the three lurking forces in their vicinity, forces powerful enough to overturn the world.
Just as the orange stick was about to touch the Mutants boy "Pendulum".
An invisible net has tightened.
First, the physical level.
From every shadowy corner of the factory, Undead Soldiers wielding jet-black Long Halberd emerged simultaneously. Their movements were perfectly synchronized and silent, instantly forming an impenetrable encirclement. The chilling Aura of Death locked onto the two law enforcement officers.
Almost simultaneously, the parameters of the entire space underwent a dramatic change.
The Scarlet Mist had been hanging in the air suddenly became viscous, like solidified amber. The orange portal flickered violently a few times, as if the signal had been forcibly cut off, and then with a "sizzle," it completely dissipated and disappeared.
The two law enforcement officers' expressions changed for the first time.
They discovered that all contact with headquarters had been cut off.
But this is not the end.
An irresistible Psychic Power, like an invisible giant hand, suddenly gripped their thoughts.
"Ah..."
The two of them let out a short, muffled groan, their bodies stiffening on the spot, their eyes instantly becoming vacant, as if their souls had been forcibly pulled out of their bodies.
Jean Grey's figure slowly appeared before them.
She did nothing; she simply watched them quietly.
Hela and Wanda also came out and stood on either side of Qin's back, forming a standard triangular formation.
The entire arrest operation, from start to finish, lasted no more than three seconds.
Clean, efficient, and effective.
Like a precise machine, it perfectly executed the preset program.
One of the Undead Soldiers stepped forward and used specially made shackles to restrain the two "illegal border crossers" who were unable to resist.
"Take them back." Hela's tone was calm, as if she were merely instructing someone to dispose of two pieces of evidence.
Negative Zone.
There is no interrogation room in the conventional sense, but when a long table made of bones and three chairs appear, this place becomes the most heavily guarded interrogation location.
The two Time Guards were strapped to specially made restraint chairs, unable to move.
They had regained some of their senses, but the shock and confusion in their eyes had not yet faded. They couldn't understand why their prized equipment and privileges had completely failed them here.
"Name, organization, position." Hela sat in the presiding judge's seat, toying with a black crystal in her hand, her voice icy.
The two guards had their lips tightly pressed together, their eyes showing a stubbornness born of being offended.
"You have no right..." one of them began.
Wanda raised a finger, and the man's mouth seemed to be sewn shut with invisible thread, unable to utter a sound.
"Minister Hela, standard interrogation procedures are probably ineffective against them." Wanda looked at Hela, her tone businesslike. "Their will has been specially trained, and there is likely some kind of underlying constraint."
Hela was well aware of this; her question was merely a necessary procedure.
"Chairwoman Jean," Hela turned her gaze to Jean Grey opposite her, "Your technical reconnaissance methods can now begin."
This is both an authorization and a disguised form of urging.
Jean Grey nodded, stood up from her seat, and slowly walked over to one of the Time Guards.
She extended her finger and gently tapped the other person's forehead.
"What are you doing!" another guard who could still speak shouted in terror, "Tampering with the memories of the time management personnel, do you know what kind of thing this is...?"
His words came to an abrupt end.
Because Qin's fingers had already touched his companion's skin.
There were no screams, no struggles.
The guard's body trembled violently, his eyes rolled back, and countless chaotic Data Stream and memory fragments, like a flood bursting its banks, were forcibly extracted from the depths of his brain and flowed into Qin's fingertips.
This is the most direct, brutal, and effective way to collect evidence.
Skip all psychological Defense Line and Confidentiality Agreement, and get straight to the heart of the problem.
Hela and Wanda watched in silence.
They knew that the credit for this joint operation undoubtedly belonged to the Mutants Management Committee.
But at this moment, what they were more concerned about was what valuable information they could extract from these two people's minds to report back to their superiors.
Time passed by, second by second.
Jean Grey's expression gradually became serious.
Initially, she was simply sifting through routine information about the organization's structure and workflows, known as the "Time Variance Authority" (TVA). But as her Mental Scan deepened, she stumbled upon a core archive that was encrypted with multiple layers of security.
Under the impatient gazes of Hela and Wanda, Jyn abruptly withdrew her hand.
Her body swayed, and her face turned pale.
"What's wrong?" Wanda keenly noticed her unusual behavior.
Qin didn't answer, but closed her eyes, seemingly processing the complex information she had just received.
A few seconds later, she opened her eyes again, her gaze filled with unprecedented shock and disbelief.
"The situation... is much more serious than we anticipated." Qin's voice was somewhat hoarse.
She looked at Hela and Wanda and said, word by word, "I found records about us in their archives."
"We, and... our leaders, have all been flagged."
Hela frowned. "What was marked?"
"A code name." Qin took a deep breath and uttered a few words.
"Time Variant."
"And the risk level assigned to the leader is the highest level."
The Negative Zone was deathly silent.
This outcome exceeded everyone's expectations. They had thought it was just a routine countermeasure against an unknown organization, but they never imagined that the target was not a Mutants from the beginning, but Lynn himself.
"Not only that," Qin's expression grew increasingly grim, "I also saw their Contingency Plan for follow-up actions."
"What Contingency Plan?" Wanda pressed.
Jean raised her head, her gaze sweeping over everyone present, including the silent Undead Guards, before finally settling on Hela and Wanda's faces.
TVA has activated its highest-level contingency Contingency Plan.
"They are assembling an armed force called the ' Adjudicators '."
"Operation objective..."
Qin paused, her voice carrying a chill.
"It's a complete physical... erasure of our entire Timeline."
"Erase?" Hela repeated the word, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
"Yes," Qin answered affirmatively, "Judging from their definition, it means exactly what it says: complete deletion."
Hela and Wanda exchanged a glance, both seeing extreme shock and subsequent rage in each other's eyes.
The order they painstakingly established, the foundation upon which they depended for survival, the masters to whom they swore allegiance, were, in the archives of another institution, merely a file that needed to be "deleted."
This is no longer a provocation.
This is a declaration of war.
Jean Grey said nothing more. She turned and walked to the White Bone Long Table. Her Psychic Power surged, and she quickly organized all the intelligence she had just obtained into a well-organized, Top Secret report with accompanying video evidence.
The report's title is alarming.
Emergency Report Regarding the "Time Variance Authority's " Intention to Disrupt the Existing Order and Eliminate Core Leaders.
She generated a Psychic Imprint from the report and looked at the other two.
"This report must be submitted to the leadership immediately."
Neither Hela nor Wanda had any objections.
Now is not the time to compete for credit.
An unprecedented and enormous crisis is looming over them.
They had no idea how Lynn would react when he saw this report, a report capable of instilling fear in any being.
