After the call ended, the cabin fell briefly silent.

Chen Mo was hungry, had nothing to do, and did not particularly want to sleep.

After going through an illegal island and an alien black sludge forcibly getting up close and personal, an ordinary person might have started breaking down, trembling, falling silent, or contemplating life.

Chen Mo chose to fiddle with the little screen on the aircraft.

The Venom Suit extended a thin black tendril, trying to help him press the buttons.

Chen Mo warned in a low voice, "Don't touch things. This isn't your remote control."

The black tendril paused.

Then Chen Mo poked it himself.

The screen lit up.

An internal Avengers promotional video popped up.

The title was very flashy.

"Avengers: For a safer tomorrow"

Chen Mo: "..."

On the screen, Steve stood in the sunlight with a flag fluttering behind him, smiling like a moral role model in a public service announcement who would tell you to drink more milk.

The next second, Iron Man flew over the city in slow motion, with lighting that looked extremely expensive.

The second after that, Hulk helped move rocks in a very suspicious bit of editing. The rocks looked as if they had just been torn out of some unfortunate building, but the narration called it "post-disaster reconstruction."

Chen Mo's expression grew increasingly contorted as he watched.

"Is this a promotional video or a superhero insurance commercial?"

Steve looked at the screen.

Chen Mo pointed at Tony in the video. "Why does his shot have three layers of slow motion? Did he edit it himself?"

Steve first breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that the footage playing on the screen was not his.

"Don't mess with the system."

"I'm not messing with it," Chen Mo said solemnly.
