The first mechanical spider leg landed on the left.

The second stepped over after it.

The third thrust in between them and collided with the first two.

With Chen Mo on his back, Peter tilted sideways.

Chen Mo's lower back shifted with him.

The pain cut his breath off outright.

"Stop a second."

All eight spider legs froze at once.

The enemy armor was right behind them.

The glow of its palm cannon was already shining into the hangar.

Peter remained tilted to one side, not moving a muscle.

Chen Mo lay against his back, waiting for the pain to pass.

"Give me back control. I'll handle the back four. Just walk forward normally."

The palm cannon fired.

Peter's front four spider legs braced against the deck.

He leaped onto the cabin roof with Chen Mo.

The energy swept past beneath their feet.

Chen Mo drove the rear four spider legs into the wall, forcing a change in direction. Eight long legs landed in turn, and the two of them rushed sideways into the passage on the right.

The first step was still a mess.

By the second, they could just about avoid each other.

By the third corner, Peter handled their route while Chen Mo handled pinning their pursuers to the walls.

The eight mechanical spider legs carried them along the ceiling.

From a distance, they really looked like an Iron Spider with two heads.

A classic Spider-Man routine.

The weird version.

Peter cleared a closing isolation door.

Chen Mo's rear four spider legs were still outside.

The metal door pressed toward his waist.

Chen Mo braced the spider legs against the door panel in reverse. Peter turned and fired two clumps of webbing to stick the tracks in place, and only then did they squeeze through the gap.
