Chen Mo had been lying amid his own wings for less than five minutes.

Then Heaven's staff came to hurry him along with checking in.

It was the same blonde angel from before.

She had two more companions behind her now, one carrying folded clothes and the other holding a silver disk. Tiny lights kept drifting from its rim, and as they passed Chen Mo, all those lights veered toward his wings.

"The Queen has prepared quarters for you."

The blonde angel extended a hand to him.

Chen Mo looked at her, then at his two wings, still spread across the ground.

"Heaven has a Queen?"

"Of course."

"Then your management system is a little different from what I imagined."

Chen Mo took her hand and stood up.

His left wing rose with him, carrying off a few flowers from the ground. His right wing had ideas of its own and stayed where it was.

Chen Mo took a step forward.

His right wing promptly yanked him back.

The blonde angel walked behind him and pressed her hands against his shoulder blades.

"Use these muscles."

Following the pressure of her hands, Chen Mo tightened his back.

His wings shuddered, then began folding inward. The long outer feathers folded back layer by layer until the wings hung behind him, still three times as wide as a normal cloak.

At least they no longer dragged on the ground.

"Very good." The blonde angel, who stood at least two meters tall, looked quite pleased.

Chen Mo rolled his shoulders.

"Angel driving lesson one: how to avoid tripping over your new organs."

The blonde angel did not understand driving lessons, but nodded politely anyway.

She turned and headed toward the white stone steps outside the pool.

Chen Mo followed her.
