"You should've told me he was coming. If he was coming, I wouldn't have bothered..."
Superman had already flown out of sight.
Chen Mo was still hanging outside the cargo plane, his right hand resting on Peter's shoulder, both arms shaking.
The cargo plane hadn't slowed down. The oncoming wind blew him backward, so Peter had to use his mechanical spider legs to press them both closer to the fuselage.
"You already said that."
The main purpose of Peter's remark was to show that the author hadn't simply repeated the same line to connect the narrative. Chen Mo really had said it again.
"So what if I say it again? I'm this exhausted. Saying it a few more times might help me get my money's worth."
Chen Mo switched their suit communications to a Private Channel, then lowered his head and scrolled through the permissions list.
Batman.
Temporary shared analysis.
Device status access.
Basic suit data.
All there.
Fine.
Very good.
Chen Mo tapped at the air three times with his still-trembling finger and missed every time.
He simply switched to voice commands.
"Kick Batman out!"
The suit asked, "Revoke BAT-01's temporary analysis permissions?"
"Confirm. Hurry up and kick him."
Peter looked at the notification that the permissions had been disabled.
"You only revoked his access to your suit's data interface. He's still in team communications."
"I know."
Chen Mo left the regular communications channel open.
"We still need him to pick us up later. Even a cold war has to account for transportation. We can't keep hanging outside a plane just because we had a fight."
Arguments were arguments and squabbles were squabbles, but when something needed using, he would still use it.
Thousands of kilometers away, a notification popped up on the Batplane's main screen.
BAT-01 access permissions
