Bang!
The underboss crashed into the tool cart behind him, knocking it over. The wrench flew from his hand, struck the wall, and bounced back to his feet.
What a miserable scream.
Music to his ears.
Chen Mo landed, reached out to grab the man still trying to crawl backward, and dragged him back. Webbing pinned both his hands to the cart's frame.
"Hello, looks like you're having fun. Mind if I join in?"
Blood filled the man's mouth as he hastily shook his head.
"No? I'm so hurt."
Chen Mo looked up. Peter had already lifted the injured man away from the workbench.
The man's leg hurt whenever it moved. Clutching Peter's arm, he apologized several times.
"An apology that comes too late isn't worth dirt."
Peter adjusted his arms to keep the injured leg from dangling and called outside for Jason to help.
Jason hurriedly kicked the clutter on the floor aside, scooped up the cape that had nearly ended up underfoot, and followed him out.
Chen Mo drew back the hand he had reached toward the wrench, but a door suddenly slammed upstairs.
He brought up the infrared spectrum on the Armor's display. Black Mask had run.
He had been directing things from his office just moments ago. Seeing Chen Mo look up, he immediately slammed the door, abandoning even the things on his desk.
"Help him sort things out outside. I'll catch their boss."
Chen Mo pointed at the second floor. His mechanical legs braced against the ground and carried him back onto the platform.
"The workers haven't even clocked out, and the boss has already run off. What the hell."
"Come back once you've caught him!"
After calling that out, Peter carried the injured man into the yard first, then switched to a private channel
