Batman raised an arm to block Chen Mo's kick, his other hand clamping toward the mechanical leg extending from Chen Mo's back.

That's the hand I was waiting for.

Chen Mo flicked his left wrist, sticking webbing to Batman's shoulder armor.

Using his downward momentum, he twisted sideways. The white strand looped around that hand, binding it together with the mechanical leg he had deliberately offered up.

"Ever heard of boundaries? Why are you feeling up my leg?"

The mechanical leg retracted, abruptly pulling them together. Chen Mo clenched his fist and swung straight at the helmet.

Batman did not pull his hand back.

He stepped half a pace forward, driving his shoulder armor into Chen Mo's chest, and pressed his bound right arm down, forcing the mechanical leg between them.

Chen Mo's fist skimmed past the helmet, missing. Batman's left hand had already caught his waist and was forcing him toward the ground.

Chen Mo gritted his teeth. The end of the mechanical leg dispersed into fine nanomaterial and slipped free of the webbing, while the other three braced against the ground, forcibly propping him up.

"You're really pressing down hard! If you break it, you're fixing it!"

"Stop."

"You let go first."

The moment Batman loosened his grip a fraction, Chen Mo's grounded mechanical legs thrust hard. His knee slammed into the chest plate, launching them both away.

He knew Batman would be on guard against him.

Batman also knew that he knew.

And so, neither of the two people who knew each other quite well gained much ground in the fight, but they grew angrier with every exchange.

Outside the gates, Peter delivered the last person still trying to squeeze inside to an officer. He glanced back and shot out webbing, preparing to vault over the wall.
