Ch. 1The train will depart shortly. May you all endure forever

Ye Qiyan woke aboard a train in an unfamiliar world and learned the rules that governed the journey. After discovering his rare Ascension talent and using it to improve a dagger, he tried to use it on his train.

  • Ye Qiyan woke in a moving train carriage and heard rules announcing that trains would reach new platforms every 24 hours.
  • Ye Qiyan explored the train system, saw the chat room's user count fall after one passenger disappeared, and checked his train and conductor details.
  • Ye Qiyan discovered his talent, Ascension, which could evolve anything by consuming stamina or sanity.
  • Ye Qiyan used Ascension on his poor-quality knife, turning it into a Level 2 Sharpness-Enchanted Dagger at the cost of stamina.
  • Ye Qiyan placed his hand on the train's control console and said, "Ascension."

Ch. 2Sublimating the Train

Ye Qiyan upgraded his train, sublimated the reward card into a unique conductor module, and used it to choose the Armory as the train’s first station. The train arrived safely, with nearly three hours to explore.

  • Ye Qiyan upgraded the train to level 2, increasing its speed and unlocking upgrade options and a Special Module Card.
  • Ye Qiyan sublimated the Special Module Card into an Exclusive Module Card, spending stamina and mental energy.
  • Ye Qiyan used the card and received the unique conductor-exclusive module Fork in Destiny, which offered him a second station choice.
  • Ye Qiyan chose the Armory over the Swamp when Fork in Destiny triggered before the train’s first arrival.
  • Ye Qiyan’s train arrived at the Armory, where the station screen reported no dangers and 2 hours and 59 minutes of stopping time.

Ch. 3Arsenal

Ye Qiyan scavenged rifles, ammunition, rations, and materials from an abandoned arsenal during the train’s stop. Before departure, he upgraded a hidden treasure chest and opened it, gaining train coins, a pistol, and a blueprint.

  • Ye Qiyan pried open the arsenal and hauled rifles and ammunition back to the train.
  • He found military ration biscuits and sealed water barrels, then continued gathering usable supplies and materials.
  • Ye Qiyan explored the arsenal’s back rooms and discovered a document envelope beneath a skeleton.
  • He used Ascension to upgrade the envelope into a Level 2 Treasure Chest, spending stamina and spirit.
  • Ye Qiyan opened the chest and received four Train Coins, a Colt M1911 Pistol, and a Level 2 External Garbage Collector blueprint.

Ch. 4Preparations for Building the First Carriage

Ye Qiyan inspected his treasure chest rewards, considered building a water reservoir and garbage collector, and tried to trade for metal before departure. The chat room revealed that treasure chests could award Train Coins, medicine, and blueprints, while most conductors had found little at their first stops.

  • Ye Qiyan tested the powerful Colt M1911, then inspected blueprints for a water reservoir and an external garbage collector and found he had enough resources to build them.
  • Ye Qiyan decided to rest rather than spend resources on the blueprints immediately, then tried to buy metal through the trading platform.
  • Ye Qiyan read the chat room as conductors described their first stops and bargained over supplies and mechanical parts.
  • A conductor revealed a treasure chest screenshot showing two Train Coins, Golden Wound Medicine, and an Aluminum Insulation Pad blueprint.

Ch. 5The first trade

Ye Qiyan traded a rifle and ammunition to Li Xiaosheng for metal, then used the metal and his other supplies to build his first carriage. With the departure countdown nearing, he moved his resources into the new carriage and prepared to gather more before leaving the station.

  • Ye Qiyan offered Li Xiaosheng a low-level rifle and twenty rounds in exchange for 150 kilograms of metal, and Li Xiaosheng eventually agreed.
  • Ye Qiyan completed the trade through the Train System and received a stack of metal ingots.
  • Ye Qiyan used the Low-Level Carriage Blueprint to construct a carriage that connected to his locomotive.
  • Ye Qiyan moved his resources into the carriage and saw that a few dozen minutes remained before departure.

Ch. 6Arms trading

After leaving the First Beginner Station, Ye Qiyan installed a water tank and garbage collector on his train and offered firearms and supplies for trade. He negotiated with Shangguan Yingxue for lake water, demanding 100 kilograms, and she hesitated over the price.

  • Ye Qiyan finished sorting his supplies as the train departed the First Beginner Station and announced that future stations would not be guaranteed safe.
  • Ye Qiyan installed a Low-level Water Tank inside the carriage and an External Garbage Collector outside it, then stored dirty water in the tank.
  • Ye Qiyan posted a public offer to trade firearms and food for water, glass, fiber, blueprints, and other resources.
  • Ye Qiyan reviewed his messages, rejected requests for free guns, and considered trade offers from several conductors.
  • Shangguan Yingxue offered 20 kilograms of lake water, but Ye Qiyan countered by asking for 100 kilograms, leaving her to consider the deal.

Ch. 7[Blacklight Enchanted Pistol]

Ye Qiyan traded rifles and bullets for supplies, reinforced his carriage, and used Ascension to transform his pistol and carriage. He rested before reaching the second stop, where the journey would become more dangerous.

  • Shangguan Yingxue traded lake water for bullets and asked to trade with Ye Qiyan again, and he accepted her friend request.
  • Ye Qiyan sold rifles and bullets to other survivors, gathered fiber and glass, and reinforced his carriage with windows.
  • After eating and sleeping, Ye Qiyan used Ascension on his Colt M1911 and turned it into a Blacklight Enchanted Pistol that could fire armor-piercing rounds.
  • Ye Qiyan used Ascension on his carriage, giving it a warmth enchantment that kept its interior at 22 degrees Celsius.
  • Ye Qiyan spread a blanket on the floor and went back to sleep before the train reached the second stop.

Ch. 8Second Station: White Forest

Ye Qiyan traded ten bullets to Lu Zhou for a train seat blueprint, upgraded a marksman rifle, and chose the White Forest as his second station. He stepped into the silent, low-danger forest and spotted a path ahead.

  • Ye Qiyan woke, checked his messages, and agreed to trade ten bullets with Lu Zhou for a Level 1 Train Seat Blueprint.
  • Ye Qiyan crafted a chair, then sold fifteen rifles and 300 bullets before keeping the rest for the next station.
  • Ye Qiyan used Ascension on a Low-level Marksman Rifle, turning it into a Fine Marksman Rifle at the cost of thirteen stamina.
  • Ye Qiyan chose the Level 3 collection platform, White Forest, from the two available destinations.
  • Ye Qiyan arrived at White Forest, equipped himself, and stepped into its silent grayish-white forest.
  • Ye Qiyan looked for things to collect and noticed a path leading farther into the forest.

Ch. 9Whiteforest Fruit

Ye Qiyan discovered that the Whiteforest Fruit was dangerous when unprocessed but nourishing after soaking, and he gathered more than fifty kilograms before his train left the station. He then saw that over a thousand people had disappeared since the Second Station, while survivors in the chat room struggled with injuries, hunger, and thirst.

  • Ye Qiyan smelled a Whiteforest Fruit and nearly ate it, but a sudden sense of danger made him throw it away as his mental energy dropped.
  • Ye Qiyan covered his face, harvested fruit, and used the train’s appraisal system to learn that soaking Whiteforest Fruit in cold water for five minutes removed its hallucinogenic effects.
  • Ye Qiyan soaked and tasted the fruit, then made repeated trips to gather more than fifty kilograms before the station departure time approached.
  • Ye Qiyan noticed that the Garbage Recycling Device sent a small robot between the train and the forest to collect leaves.
  • Ye Qiyan checked the chat room and saw that only 8,721 of the original 10,000 people remained, as survivors reported injuries, hunger, and illness.

Ch. 10Ascending a Level 3 Treasure Chest

Ye Qiyan’s recycling robot found a level 3 treasure chest in the White Forest, and he used Ascension to turn it into a level 4 chest with valuable rewards. After collecting soil and restarting his train, he discovered a message from Shangguan Yingxue asking whether he still needed water.

  • Ye Qiyan found that his Garbage Recycling Device had collected a level 3 treasure chest and used Ascension to upgrade it to level 4.
  • Ye Qiyan opened the chest and obtained eight Train Coins, an External Warning Device, a White Forest Fruit Tree Seed, Train Gray-White Paint, and an Advanced Ceramic Plate Bulletproof Vest.
  • Ye Qiyan installed the warning device on his locomotive and equipped it with five rifles.
  • Ye Qiyan collected gray-white soil, recycled the robot’s other findings into wood and materials for white pigment, and shut down the device before departure.
  • Ye Qiyan’s train left the White Forest and returned to the endless wilderness, where he saw Shangguan Yingxue’s message asking if he still needed water.

Ch. 11Trading with Shangguan Yingxue

Ye Qiyan traded train-upgrade materials with Shangguan Yingxue for a Water Purifier, then upgraded it and learned that some level 2 train options varied between people. He bought the Train Burst Acceleration Device Blueprint and planned to obtain the remaining materials through trade.

  • Ye Qiyan and Shangguan Yingxue agreed to trade her Water Purifier for 32 kilograms of wood, 50 kilograms of metal, and 40 Mechanical Parts.
  • Ye Qiyan used Ascension on the Water Purifier, turning it into a level 2 Refined Water Purifier that processed more water and could purify non-freshwater.
  • Ye Qiyan asked Shangguan Yingxue about her train upgrade, and she showed him options that shared two fixed choices with his but had different random choices.
  • Shangguan Yingxue asked Ye Qiyan for Train Coins and water, but he refused both trades.
  • Ye Qiyan spent five Train Coins on the Train Burst Acceleration Device Blueprint, which required 50 kilograms of metal and 200 Mechanical Parts to build.

Ch. 12Third stop: Doomsday Town

Ye Qiyan upgraded an acceleration device, a fruit-tree seed, and a robot, discovering that their uses required Train Coins. He chose Doomsday Town as the train’s third stop and arrived at the dangerous level 2 quest platform.

  • Ye Qiyan crafted and ascended a train acceleration device, then installed it and spent two Train Coins to make two bullets.
  • After resting, Ye Qiyan ascended a Whitesen Fruit Tree Seed, planted it, and then used spirit to ascend the Garbage Recycling Device into a treasure-hunting robot he named WALL-E.
  • Ye Qiyan found that the robot needed a Train Coin to awaken and listed a biscuit and water for one Train Coin on the trading platform.
  • When the fork presented Doomsday Town and Goblin Village, Ye Qiyan chose Doomsday Town.
  • Ye Qiyan arrived at Doomsday Town, a dangerous level 2 quest platform with four hours remaining.

Ch. 13Platform Mission

Ye Qiyan arrived in Doomsday Town and accepted a dead courier’s delivery mission, carrying a birthday cake to a silverware shop. After receiving three Train Coins from the shopkeeper, he faced a sudden attack when the man grabbed his gun barrel.

  • Ye Qiyan sent WALL-E out to work, then equipped himself and left the train in Doomsday Town.
  • Ye Qiyan found a dead RUN Company courier’s message and took the cake, RUN Medal, and map to deliver to the silverware shop.
  • Ye Qiyan killed a charging Zombie Dog with his pistol and reached the shop after detouring through the ruined town.
  • Ye Qiyan showed the shopkeeper the RUN Medal and delivered the cake, but declined to enter the shop.
  • The shopkeeper offered Ye Qiyan three Train Coins as payment, then suddenly grabbed his gun barrel.

Ch. 14The Monster's Diary

Ye Qiyan defeated the monster in the silverware shop and discovered that it had been a grieving father who had waited too long for a cake for his dying daughter. He completed the delivery, upgraded a mithril cross into a weapon against supernatural creatures, and waited aboard the train as the surviving conductors moved on.

  • Ye Qiyan shot the monster with his Blacklight Enchanted Pistol, then killed it with an armor-piercing shot to the head.
  • Ye Qiyan found the shopkeeper’s diary, learned that his daughter had died before the cake arrived, and left the cake at her grave to complete the mission.
  • Ye Qiyan collected the Train Coins and mithril weapons, recycled spare materials, and upgraded a mithril cross into a Level 3 Holy Church Mithril Cross.
  • Ye Qiyan returned to the train through the monster-filled town and hung the upgraded cross at the front of the train.
  • Ye Qiyan checked the chat room and saw that only 7,825 of the 10,000 conductors remained after the third stop.

Ch. 15The Third Stop Ends

Ye Qiyan’s train survived a monster attack at the third stop, and he left Doomsday Town as the Newbie Protection Period ended and Survival Mode began. The announcement warned survivors about nighttime dangers and trains traveling below 30 kilometers per hour, while the chat debated Li Xiaosheng’s upgrade and the delayed broadcast.

  • Li Xiaosheng announced that he had upgraded his train to level 2, founded an Alliance, and shared his upgrade options; Ye Qiyan confirmed that the first and fourth options matched his own.
  • WALL-E returned injured with a level 2 chest, having drawn Zombie Dogs and other monsters toward Ye Qiyan’s train.
  • Ye Qiyan’s level 4 Guard Tower killed the monsters around the train, then continued firing as more gathered during the final eight minutes at the stop.
  • Ye Qiyan’s train departed Doomsday Town with monsters in pursuit, and the broadcast announced the end of the Newbie Protection Period and the start of Survival Mode.
  • Survivors panicked over the new dangers and discussed Li Xiaosheng’s upgrade, the option to extend stopovers, and the delayed broadcast.

Ch. 16[Storage Unit Carriage]

Ye Qiyan upgraded a storage carriage into a level 3 carriage with portable storage, then exhausted himself upgrading a chest and obtained several supplies. While he slept, survivors discovered they could upgrade train wheels separately to meet the required speed, leaving Li Xiaosheng angry that someone had upgraded ahead of him.

  • Ye Qiyan exchanged the hidden quest reward for a level 2 Storage Carriage and used Ascension to turn it into a level 3 carriage with three units he could access from anywhere.
  • Ye Qiyan stored Whiteforest Fruits, bullets, and drinking water in the special units, then cleared other resources from the train.
  • Ye Qiyan upgraded WALL-E’s level 2 chest to level 3 and obtained six Train Coins, a Zombie Killer, three doses of Virus Serum, and a Windproof Lighter.
  • Ye Qiyan decided to sleep after spending nearly all his stamina and spirit on Ascension.
  • Survivors in the chatroom discovered that upgrading only the train wheels could raise speed to the required thirty kilometers per hour, driving up demand for metal and Mechanical Parts.
  • Li Xiaosheng, who had gathered upgrade materials using his Resource Radar, became furious that someone else had upgraded their train before him.

Ch. 17Level 3 train, another record broken

Ye Qiyan upgraded his train to level 3 during a nighttime attack and used his upgrade options to gain a bullet blueprint and an upgraded departure privilege. He left the chapter with his train faster and stronger, but still short of the gunpowder needed to make bullets.

  • Ye Qiyan woke to Crimson Moon Wolves pursuing the train and realized that more than four thousand people had died since the day before.
  • Shangguan Yingxue asked Ye Qiyan to sell her bullets, but he refused because his ammunition was running low.
  • Ye Qiyan noticed that his maximum spirit had increased, then spent stamina and spirit to upgrade his train to level 3 and break the speed record.
  • Ye Qiyan chose the Leave Station Privilege, the level 3 Bullet Blueprint, and an extra hour of station time from the upgrade options.
  • Ye Qiyan used Ascension on the privilege and gained the Leave Station VIP Privilege, which let him depart whenever three hours remained on the station countdown.

Ch. 18Advanced Module: Gunfire Judgment

After the first nighttime survival ended, survivors learned that their trains would need to reach 40 kilometers per hour before the next one in three days. Ye Qiyan opened and ascended his record-breaking module card, gaining the Gunfire Judgment advanced module as dark, cold weather settled over the wilderness.

  • The broadcast announced that 3,825 survivors remained and warned that trains traveling below 40 kilometers per hour would enter a danger state during the next nighttime survival.
  • Survivors panicked over finding enough resources to upgrade, and Li Xiaosheng promised his Alliance members he would help them complete their first upgrade.
  • Li Xiaosheng suspected Ye Qiyan had upgraded early, sent him a friend request, and received no response.
  • Ye Qiyan woke after sleeping on the train floor, read the broadcast, and noticed the unusually cold, overcast weather.
  • Ye Qiyan used his talent to ascend the Train Conductor Module Card and gained Gunfire Judgment, which improved his firearm skill and empowered a bullet according to its target's sins.

Ch. 19The Fourth Stop

Ye Qiyan bought and enhanced a mechanical fishing rod, then chose the Phantom Rain Manor platform for his fourth stop during a thunderstorm. He prepared for danger outside the train after spotting a smoking police car and uniformed corpses on the mountain road.

  • Ye Qiyan accepted Li Xiaosheng’s friend request but refused to join his alliance and asked only whether he was selling fishing rods.
  • Ye Qiyan bought a mechanical fishing rod from Zhao Lin, enhanced it into a Tempting Mechanical Fishing Rod, and accepted Zhao Lin’s friend request.
  • A thunderstorm began, and the broadcast warned conductors that the next stop might be a stormy platform.
  • Ye Qiyan chose the Phantom Rain Manor mission platform over the Level 3 Lightning Goblin Tribe hunting platform.
  • The train arrived at Phantom Rain Mountain Villa, where Ye Qiyan saw a smoking police car and several dead officers beside the road.
  • Ye Qiyan activated WALL-E, packed his enhanced virus serum, armed himself, put on a raincoat, and opened the train door.

Ch. 20Stormbound Manor? Mystery? The Supernatural!

Ye Qiyan investigated Master Lavi’s murder at Gloomrain Manor and discovered that the estate’s residents were dying under a supernatural curse. After a woman fell from the manor, the butler warned Ye Qiyan that he might be trapped there too.

  • Ye Qiyan searched the wrecked police car, found a recorder describing the investigation into Master Lavi’s death, and took a sheriff’s badge and identification.
  • Ye Qiyan reached Gloomrain Manor and learned from the guard that Master Lavi had died four nights earlier and that the maid was suspected.
  • A woman fell from the manor and died; Ye Qiyan saw a nonhuman shadow and felt his Holy Church Mithril Cross grow warm.
  • The butler buried the woman in one of five prepared graves and told Ye Qiyan that the young lady, the guard, and the young master had also died in recent days.
  • The butler explained that he could not leave the cursed manor and warned Ye Qiyan that he might be trapped there as well.
