After defeating the Scar God's doppelganger, Ye Qiyan learned that the world remained under invasion and set out to search for the invaders while arranging the return of the Mobius Guild leader's dead son. Meanwhile, the Saint Mary Kingdom's nobles sacrificed slaves as their territory fell to the Flame Gorilla army, and a small, unidentified slave prayed for a hero to come.

  • Ye Qiyan learned that killing the Scar God's doppelganger had raised his divinity bane bonus to 900%, but he still had to drive out the invaders to conquer the world.
  • Ye Qiyan sent Demon Raven, Giant Eagle, Nephthys, and the Nanite Swarm to search for signs of life, then returned to his train with his companions.

Ch. 1006What did invasion mean?

Ye Qiyan discovered that the Saint Mary Kingdom’s nobles were feeding their own people to the invading Flame-Burning Clan instead of resisting. Disgusted, he began killing them and ordered his companions to hunt down these human monsters as well as the invaders.

  • Ye Qiyan considered using a Divine Core’s False God Authority to turn the flame gorillas against one another, then dispatched his mechs and companions to fight the invasion while he and Eve headed for the Flame Gorilla God.
  • Seven days later, Ye Qiyan reached the Saint Kingdom Capital and found the kingdom’s people had offered little resistance as the Flame-Burning Clan devastated the land.
  • Ye Qiyan discovered that nobles had been forcing enslaved people to leap from the city walls so the Flame-Burning Clan could burn them for food, sacrificing 150,000 people over five days.

Ch. 1008Saving the world was seriously boring.

Ye Qiyan and his companions slaughtered the Flame Gorillas across the Cloudtop Continent and advanced toward the royal palace, where enslaved Royal Guards begged him to kill them. After the guards died, Ye Qiyan burned away their corpses and slave brands and continued toward the capital’s conclusion, planning to collect a reward from the Mobius Guild.

  • Martial Dread and Ye Qiyan’s other companions attacked the Flame Gorillas and destroyed the wealthy buildings in their city-states.

Ch. 1010The thirteenth card? An angel never seen before, help that could not be repaid

Ye Qiyan found the Twin Angel Covenant, an embryonic Angel Card that could become Shaya’s thirteenth card despite not being part of the known thirteen. Shaya wanted to see it and proposed meeting at the next stop, leaving Ye Qiyan to arrange a reunion.

  • Ye Qiyan took the Twin Angel Covenant from the Saint Mary Kingdom’s energy cube, shutting down the city’s powered systems, and learned from the System that the Covenant could serve as Shaya’s thirteenth card.
  • Ye Qiyan messaged Shaya to ask whether she had found her thirteenth Angel Card while she was competing in a track championship with Tina.
  • Shaya told Ye Qiyan that the missing card was called Death and that she had searched for it for a long time.
