Arc 11Niro City’s Rise

Xiluo defeated the coalition attacking Niro City, then used the victory’s rewards to strengthen the city and pursue his bloodline growth. His search for Sea God Crystals led him deep underwater, where he encountered Tidal Titans seeking the same treasure.

  • Xiluo survived Laina’s ambush, killed the Paladin and a Holy Warrior, and identified the attackers as agents of the Xikalei Family.
  • Xiluo allied with Dorian, Doges, and Melano, then rallied Niro City’s forces against Xikalei’s coalition army.
  • Xiluo destroyed the enemy’s cannons, routed its soldiers, killed Laina, and helped his allies defeat the remaining forces.
  • Xiluo secured compensation from Gerlo’s king, returned to Niro City, and arranged for defensive walls, military camps, and a new academy.
  • Xiluo welcomed the mermaid sisters as his sworn sisters, bought their Conch Stone, and raised his Thunderfall Dragon bloodline to 75% before learning he needed Sea God Crystals.
  • Xiluo bought the crystals available through the Hailan Clan and Bishop Xiwel, then spent two years researching spells as Niro City and its academy grew.
  • Xiluo sought a larger Sea God Crystal deposit through No. 4, obtained a map, and traveled toward its underwater location despite the dragons’ warnings.
  • Xiluo reached the deep seabed, where he overheard three Tidal Titans discussing their search for Sea God Crystals and ordering Tam to lead them to the deposit.
Chapters 252–276 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 252A sudden assassination attempt

Xiluo’s dragons discussed using Soul Fruits to strengthen Dragonbeasts while Marquis Xikalei sent Laina and eight experts to assassinate him in Niro City. The attack caught Xiluo off guard, but he shrank away from Laina’s sword at the last moment.

  • Abel celebrated his six Soul Fruit-enhanced Dragonbeasts, while Barbara and Xiluo argued that Soul Fruits should be saved for Dragonbeasts rather than Beastmen.
  • Xiluo advised Abel to capture magical beasts no stronger than level 11 for breeding, and Abel fell silent after realizing stronger mates could kill him.
  • Marquis Xikalei ordered Laina, a level 17 Paladin, to kill Xiluo and recover his treasure, assigning eight experts above level 12 to support the mission.
  • Laina’s nine-person team entered Niro City unnoticed, located Xiluo at his castle, and prepared a coordinated attack.
  • Five attackers rushed Xiluo, trapping him with a Magic Network and skeletal claws before Laina struck his neck with a sword of light.
  • Xiluo’s lightning armor cracked under the blow, but he shrank rapidly and let the sword sweep over his head.

Ch. 253Fierce battle

Xiluo fought off an assassination attempt by Laina and his allies, using his elemental powers and lightning spear to overwhelm them. After Laina’s Holy Light Transformation failed to turn the battle, he ordered a retreat, but Xiluo caught two fleeing fighters in a devastating Dragon Thunder attack.

  • Laina and his allies attacked Xiluo, but he used Dragon Thunder and Fictional Gravity to disrupt their assault while the castle soldiers tried to raise the alarm.
  • Xiluo summoned nearly thirty elementals, forcing Laina to divide his fighters as Kolov summoned five Vrocks to fight the elementals.
  • Xiluo cleaved through Laina’s sword of light and struck down the Modified Human warrior, then learned the attackers served Marquis Xikalei.
  • Laina transformed into a giant of light and fought Xiluo, but Xiluo’s lightning spear overwhelmed him and forced him to order a retreat.
  • Xiluo pursued a fleeing Paladin and Holy Warrior, whose weapons and armor were trapped by the spear’s magnetic field before Dragon Thunder engulfed them.

Ch. 254Aftermath and response

After Xiluo repelled an assassination attempt by the Xikalei Family, Alice and Fennis arranged stronger defenses around him while Xiluo weighed the risk of further attacks. In Xikalei Territory, the marquis learned how powerful Xiluo was and feared the consequences of having targeted him.

  • Xiluo’s lightning killed the level 17 Paladin and a Holy Warrior, while the other attackers escaped through spatial scrolls.
  • Fennis and Alice arrived, and Xiluo identified the attackers as members of the Xikalei Family; Andy warned that tensions between the kingdoms could prevent punishment.
  • Xiluo explained that the attackers sought the Twelve Royal Rings and considered the dangers of a larger conflict, while Alice called for more guards and asked Fennis to bring skilled fighters.
  • The young dragons and Barbara returned, and Niro City increased patrols and stationed allies near the castle to protect Xiluo.
  • Marquis Xikalei heard Laina’s report about Xiluo’s strength, questioned whether he was truly a Young Dragon, and feared retaliation.

Ch. 255Mortals' greed and an unexpected turn of events

After learning that the Xikalei Family planned to attack Niro City with the king’s approval, Xiluo gathered the dragons and devised a response rather than fleeing. In Sista, a disguised Devil named Marquis Dorian was summoned to an abandoned factory, where Xiluo revealed himself as the one who had called three nobles together.

  • Marquis Xikalei resolved to kill Xiluo or destroy his city before the dragon could retaliate.
  • A servant of Matriarch Baili'er delivered Xiluo a letter warning that the Xikalei Family had joined other nobles to attack Niro City, while King Gree Luo planned to prevent others from aiding it.
  • Xiluo showed the letter to the dragons, heard their debate over allies and retreat, and said he had found a way to respond.
  • Marquis Dorian received a letter threatening to expose his identity as a Shadow Demon and went to the abandoned factory, where he met Count Doges and Marquis Merano.
  • Xiluo appeared before the three nobles and announced that he had invited them.

Ch. 256Defenders' Alliance

Xiluo formed the Defenders' Alliance with Dorian, Doges, and Melano to oppose the Ulaluo Kingdom's invasion and divided the expected spoils among them. Marquis Xikalei then marched nearly ten thousand troops toward Niro City alongside three allied armies, while Xiluo's transformed scout flew ahead to warn the city.

  • Xiluo revealed that he had recognized Dorian, Doges, and Melano's true identities and proposed an alliance against the forces threatening Niro City.
  • Xiluo explained the conflict involving Xikalei and Karo, and the three villains agreed to help him in exchange for souls, captives, and spoils under a devil's contract.
  • Marquis Xikalei rallied nearly ten thousand soldiers with a speech portraying Xiluo as an evil dragon who had stolen the Xikalei Family's treasure.
  • Three allied armies joined Xikalei's campaign, and their commanders described their forces and agreed to attack Niro City from different directions.
  • A giant eagle watched the advancing armies, then transformed into an azure Dragon and sped toward Niro City.

Ch. 257The terrifying forces under Xiluo's command

Xiluo coordinated his allies and mobilized Niro City’s defenders after the Xikalei Family prepared to attack. The assembled army gathered south of the city, where Xiluo assessed its strength and awaited the invaders.

  • Xiluo notified Dorian and the other allied forces that the enemy was coming, and Dorian led thousands of soldiers toward the battlefield.
  • Xiluo announced the threat to Niro City and ordered its troops to assemble at the South Gate, prompting soldiers, elves, Descenders, clerics, dragons, undead, and other allies to mobilize.
  • Undead and vampire forces sent by Melano and Doges joined Beastmen marching toward the city’s southern gate.
  • Xiluo waited two hours for the allied forces to assemble south of Niro City.
  • Xiluo surveyed the assembled army, including thousands of human soldiers and numerous elite allies, and judged that his forces could face the enemy.

Ch. 258A War of Ten Thousand

Xiluo harassed Marquis Xikalei’s army with lightning-charged spears before leading the pursuers toward his allied forces. As the armies clashed, Xikalei discovered the strength of Xiluo’s undead troops and found his allies were occupied, then his front line suffered a sudden javelin attack.

  • Xiluo struck Xikalei’s army twice with lightning-wreathed spears, killing and wounding soldiers, while Mr. Dix deflected the second attack at the cost of injuring his arm.
  • Xiluo dodged the Magic Cannon’s return fire and evaded the pursuing Spellcasters, Paladins, and Holy Warriors by keeping his distance.
  • Xikalei’s army encountered Xiluo’s forces, where a green arrow and black fireball destroyed the cannon shells, and Xikalei recognized a Death Knight and other powerful undead.
  • Xikalei called for his allies, but their distress signals showed they were tied down; he refused to retreat and ordered his army to attack.
  • The Wealth Temple’s Clerics strengthened the Boar-Pigfolk with Divine Favor and Bull’s Strength, and the Boar-Pigfolk and dragons hurled javelins into Xikalei’s front line, skewering many archers.

Ch. 259Fierce battle! The terrifying might of the Xiluo Legion!

Xiluo’s smaller army overwhelmed Marquis Xikalei’s forces with superior ranged attacks, dragons, elite troops, and undead, while Xiluo himself tore through the enemy near their Arcane Cannons. As Xikalei’s soldiers suffered heavy losses, he begged the bloodline sorcerer Mr. Dिक्स to stop Xiluo, who warned that Xikalei would be in danger if he did.

  • Marquis Xikalei ordered his heavily armored cavalry to charge, but Xiluo’s javelins, arrows, spells, and divine magic devastated the attackers before they reached his army.
  • Abel, the young dragons, the Blazing Thunder Dragon Griffin, Fennis and the nature elves, and the death knight’s undead slaughtered Xikalei’s troops as Xiluo’s clerics strengthened and healed their own soldiers.
  • After seeing his army overwhelmed, Xikalei recalled his powerful fighters, and Laina and the others returned to support the battle, giving his forces temporary relief.
  • Xiluo summoned wind, water, and lightning elementals, then flew toward the Arcane Cannons while the elementals kept Laina from intercepting him.
  • Xiluo crushed soldiers, cut down dozens with his lightning spear, and destroyed the Arcane Cannons as Xikalei watched his army’s losses mount.
  • Xikalei asked Mr. Dिक्स to stop Xiluo, and the bloodline sorcerer warned that Xikalei himself might be in danger.

Ch. 260Xiluo, the Dragon with No Weaknesses!

Xiluo fought through Xikalei’s army while Marquis Xikalei used rare magical treasures and a Bloodline Warlock to try to stop him. After surviving the attacks and escaping their restraints, Xiluo identified the marquis and ended the chapter with a Thunder Spear detonating among his soldiers.

  • Marquis Xikalei sent the Bloodline Warlock after Xiluo and aimed a Void Bullet at the dragon as he rampaged through the army.
  • Xiluo evaded the Bloodline Warlock, but the Void Bullet suppressed nearby magic and sent him crashing to the ground; he survived the soldiers’ follow-up attacks and charged toward Marquis Xikalei.
  • Marquis Xikalei used Aurora Projection and several enchanted rings to attack and escape, while Xiluo dispelled a gravity spell and flew out of reach of the Bloodline Warlock.
  • Xiluo searched the battlefield for the man matching Marquis Xikalei’s profile, then swooped toward him and hurled a Thunder Spear that landed nearby.
  • The Thunder Spear erupted in lightning, swallowing the soldiers who had gathered near its impact point.

Ch. 261Xiluo Unleashed His Full Power, the Last

Xiluo unleashed his full power against the Xikalei army, overwhelming its soldiers and commanders with storms, lightning, and Extreme Thunder Breath Weapon. Marquis Xikalei escaped the battlefield, and the army collapsed into flight and surrender.

  • Dिक्स told Marquis Xikalei to fire a Void Bullet at the ground, letting him clear a small area and teleport out of the lightning sea.
  • Xiluo offered a thousand gold coins and Niro City citizenship to anyone who killed Marquis Xikalei, then exposed the marquis's disguises and announced that he had fled.
  • Xiluo unleashed his Dark Sky domain and lightning storms, killing soldiers and trapping Dिक्स in a devastating storm.
  • Xiluo struck Laina with Extreme Thunder Breath Weapon and swept Extreme Light across the battlefield, shattering the soldiers' faith in their commanders.
  • As Allen and the other dragon whelps taunted the Xikalei troops, the army broke into a rout, while others knelt and surrendered.

Ch. 262Determined to kill!

Xiluo pursued and killed the fleeing Paladin Laina after the Xikalei Army was routed, then returned to help his allies. He left the battlefield with most enemies captured or fleeing and the other three fights still deadlocked.

  • The Death Legion, Vampires, and Descenders pursued fleeing Xikalei soldiers while the victorious forces secured prisoners and spoils.
  • Laina fled the battlefield using spatial teleportation, but Xiluo tracked him down despite his repeated attempts to escape.
  • Xiluo disrupted Laina’s teleportation and decoys, broke through his defenses, and killed him when he tried to surrender.
  • Xiluo collected Laina’s equipment and rings, then flew back to the battlefield with Laina’s corpse.
  • Xiluo joined the other elites to help their allies, finding the fights against the remaining enemy forces still deadlocked.

Ch. 263Postwar casualties and gains

After Xiluo’s forces turned the battles into a decisive victory, he and his allies counted their casualties, spoils, and prisoners. Xiluo proposed making the Gerlo Kingdom pay their compensation, then returned to his army and agreed to Abel’s demand for gold.

  • Xiluo’s reinforcements joined the battlefields and routed Xikalei’s allied troops, allowing Xiluo’s forces to win across the front.
  • Xiluo and his three allies reported their casualties and spoils, then agreed how to divide the prisoners.
  • The allies worried that compensation for their dead and wounded would leave them in debt, but Xiluo suggested they seek payment from the Gerlo Kingdom.
  • Xiluo returned to his army, where Abel claimed compensation for his injuries and lost dragonbeast, and Xiluo agreed to pay him 400 gold coins.
  • The Young She-Dragon refused to heal Abel and insulted him.

Ch. 264Two achievements in a row and Xiluo's backup plan

After returning victorious to Niro City, Xiluo earned two achievements but refused to redeem his points. Meanwhile, Marquis Xikalei resolved to preserve his family, and Xiluo and allied nobles pressed Gerlo’s king to fund compensation for war casualties, leaving the king facing their demands.

  • Xiluo promised the dragons compensation, returned to Niro City, and joined the victory celebration before sleeping.
  • Xiluo earned the [Glorious victory] and [Unmatched might] achievements, bringing his total to 45 points, but declined to redeem talents.
  • Marquis Xikalei accepted that he might have to surrender the Legendary Ring to keep the Xikalei Family from being destroyed.
  • Gerlo’s king angrily lamented losing his chance to become a Dragonblood Warrior and worried that Xiluo and the nobles might be coming to punish him.
  • Xiluo and the nobles gathered before the king and argued that Gerlo should counterattack Ularuo or compensate the Heroes who had suffered casualties.
  • The nobles turned their attention to the king and implied that he should pay compensation, leaving him asking what they wanted.

Ch. 265The haul and an old dragon robbing the cradle

Xiluo and the other three lords pressured the King into paying compensation for their losses, then Xiluo returned to Niro City after spending the night with Matriarch Baili'er. He arrived to find the injured Abel mating with a magical beast.

  • Xiluo, Dorian, Doges, and Melano rejected the nobles’ calls for compensation and urged a counterattack against Ularuo, forcing the King to pay each of them thirty thousand gold coins.
  • After the other three lords left, Xiluo stayed in the Royal Capital and met Matriarch Baili'er at his inn that night.
  • Baili'er praised Xiluo’s strength and secretly hoped their bloodlines would produce a child capable of helping her establish her own kingdom.
  • Xiluo left Baili'er before dawn and returned to Niro City, thinking about using his compensation to buy mutation materials.
  • Xiluo heard strange sounds near Abel’s lair and found the supposedly injured dragon whelp mating with a magical beast.

Ch. 266Abel's New Equipment and New Territory Development

Xiluo returned from the war with 30,000 gold coins in compensation and agreed with Alice to strengthen the territory’s defenses. After paying for Red Thunder Mutation supplies and planning new walls and military camps, construction began, leaving him with 13,856 gold coins.

  • Abel showed Xiluo the [Power of the Sea Emperor], a nine-thousand-gold bracelet that raised his displayed level to 13 and let him cast water spells.
  • Xiluo told Alice he had received 30,000 gold coins from the King, and Alice proposed building walls so enemies could be spotted before reaching the territory.
  • Xiluo agreed to build defensive walls and expand the military camp, and he paid the Temple of the Goddess of Wealth his 6,500-gold debt before buying another year of mutation materials for 5,000 gold coins.
  • Xiluo learned the defensive project would cost 25,000 gold coins and take half a year, with walls and military camps planned in all four directions.
  • Xiluo finalized the plans with Alice, and construction began, leaving him with 13,856 gold coins.

Ch. 267Meeting the Three Merfolk Sisters Again

Xiluo learned that rumors about the Legendary Ring were spreading through Niro City, risking unrest and attacks, and decided to make others believe his side was too powerful to challenge. He invited the three merfolk sisters to visit Niro City, and they agreed after he provided water elementals to keep them comfortable and promised them protection.

  • Xiluo ordered a defensive warning wall built, and his subjects praised him as construction began.
  • Rumors spread that Xiluo possessed the Legendary Ring, and Allen and Barbara warned that the story could draw enemies and cause unrest.
  • Xiluo decided to make his enemies believe he was stronger and flew to the Tate Mountain Range to summon the merfolk sisters.
  • Anali, Xueli, and Flora explained that they disliked being away from seawater, so Xiluo offered to let them travel inside water elementals.
  • Xiluo welcomed the sisters as his little sisters and assured them that Niro City would protect them.
  • The merfolk sisters agreed to visit Niro City and offered to sell Xiluo Conch Stone for 30 silver coins an ounce.

Ch. 268The purpose of inviting the three merfolk sisters

Xiluo brought the three merfolk sisters to Niro City, presenting them as high-ranking nobles of the Hai Jialan Empire to impress the city’s subjects and intimidate outsiders. After treating them to local food and amusements, he led them to the Clubhouse, where they came face-to-face with three familiar figures.

  • Xiluo introduced the merfolk sisters to Niro City’s subjects as his sworn sisters and nobles of the Hai Jialan Empire, impressing the crowd and unsettling spies.
  • Xiluo took the merfolk and Naga Guards to Deliciousness Without Limits, where the sisters eagerly devoured the land dishes.
  • After the meal, Xiluo showed the merfolk games and more of Niro City’s food, and they said they wanted to stay longer.
  • Xiluo led the merfolk sisters to the Clubhouse, where they unexpectedly encountered three familiar figures emerging from inside.

Ch. 269The storm quelled and the blind spot discovered

Anali and the other mermaid sisters discovered that their Naga agents had been enjoying Niro City instead of reporting back, then stayed to enjoy the city themselves. A month later, Depu asked Xiluo to name his newborn daughter, revealing that Descenders had children in Niro City and prompting Xiluo to consider educating them for future roles.

  • Anali and the other mermaids confronted the Naga trio about visiting the Dark Horse Club, then punished them by sending them back to their tribe and forbidding them from coming ashore without orders.
  • The mermaid sisters and their guards enjoyed Niro City, attracting more Sea Folk and boosting local businesses while the city remained peaceful under the deterrent of their fabricated noble identities.
  • Xiluo continued studying spells and strengthening his knowledge as he waited for the city's growing tensions to erupt.
  • Depu asked Xiluo to name his newborn daughter and explained that Descenders could have children with natives of Domirank Star.
  • Xiluo learned that Niro City had 714 children of Descenders and asked Depu whether Descenders would want their children trained from an early age for future careers.

Ch. 270Which Bastard Whose Son Will Be Born Without an Asshole Gave That Dragon

Xiluo Utrasis announced Niro Academy, promising training for students of all backgrounds, and enrollment drew crowds despite tiered tuition. The academy’s operators then promoted expensive nearby school-district homes, leaving wealthy merchants tempted and Descenders convinced Xiluo had been fed another scheme.

  • Xiluo Utrasis announced plans for Niro Academy, where subjects could train in various professions and gifted students could advance to higher tiers.
  • Subjects and Descenders flocked to enroll, learning about the academy’s four tuition tiers, teacher credentials, scholarships, and graduation standards.
  • Niro Academy accepted students of many ages and backgrounds, and classes were scheduled to begin in half a month, even before construction was complete.
  • Hyena-people approached wealthy merchants and Descenders about nearby school-district homes priced at three gold coins per square meter.
  • The merchants considered the sales pitch about future demand, while the Descenders grimly suspected someone had taught Xiluo Utrasis another way to profit.

Ch. 271Earning gold as fast as mining! And a bottleneck!

Xiluo celebrated the gold earned from academy tuition and school-district housing, then spent 30,000 gold coins on Conch Stone to strengthen himself. The Conch Stone raised his Thunderfall Dragon bloodline to 75%, where he discovered he needed Sea God Crystals instead, so he flew back to ask the merfolk sisters whether they had any.

  • Descenders bought Niro City's school-district homes, and Xiluo counted 53,700 gold coins in revenue from housing and the academies.
  • Xiluo visited the new academy, saw its teachers and students at work, then waited outside the merfolk sisters' home while they went shopping.
  • Xiluo bought all the Conch Stone the merfolk sisters could spare for 30,000 gold coins and consumed it outside the city.
  • Xiluo's Thunderfall Dragon bloodline reached 75%, but he learned that further growth required Sea God Crystals rather than Conch Stone.
  • Xiluo flew back to the merfolk sisters' home to ask whether they had Sea God Crystals.

Ch. 272Two years later

Over two years, Xiluo researched spells, bought rare Sea God crystals, and continued building his strength while his son Pawa grew into a formidable Dragonkin child. The chapter ended with Pawa returning home to his parents and Xiluo reflecting on the boy’s growth and his own progress.

  • Xiluo asked the Hailan Clan and Bishop Xiwel for Sea God crystals, and learned the temple could supply only ten thousand gold coins’ worth per year.
  • Xiluo bought the available crystals, raising his Thunderfall Dragon Bloodline from 75% to 75.8%, then spent two years researching spells and strengthening himself.
  • At the academy, Pawa defeated Kululuo again, and the children praised him for inheriting Xiluo’s bloodline.
  • Allen picked Pawa up from the academy and took him home after Pawa asked why his parents had not come for him.
  • Pawa heard noises behind his mother’s door, mistook his parents’ exercise for his father hitting her, and waited until they opened the door.
  • Xiluo observed that Pawa had advanced to a level 2 elite template and considered how the boy might grow stronger in the years ahead.

Ch. 273Xiluo's progress

Xiluo reviewed his two years of growth, Niro City's prosperity, and the enormous sums he had spent raising his bloodlines and Allen. Abel visited to exchange Soul Fruits for his newly one-year-old Dragonbeast, while boasting about his plans to defeat Gordon.

  • Xiluo saw that his level remained 17 while his three mutated bloodlines had each surpassed 75%, and he reflected on Niro City's growth and his accumulated wealth.
  • Xiluo noted that he had spent 125,000 gold coins on bloodline growth, crystals, and Crimson Thunder's mutation, with another 35,000 going toward Allen.
  • Xiluo observed that Allen had reached level 14 and had learned [Dragon Domain - Extreme Cold], which helped Xiluo reverse-engineer [Dragon Domain - Extreme Thunder].
  • Abel arrived with good news, and Little Pawa excitedly asked him when he could join him in making films; the lady used a Weakening Spell and dragged Pawa away from the window.
  • Xiluo joined Abel outside, and Abel asked to exchange three Soul Fruits for his one-year-old Dragonbeast.
  • Abel boasted that his twelve Dragonbeasts would help him defeat Gordon, while Xiluo agreed that the Soul Fruit exchange would be no problem.

Ch. 274You actually went through with it?

Xiluo learned that the Pleasure Demon could no longer supply enough Soul Fruits and considered whether her invitation to the Abyssal Hell was a trap. After Abel suggested sending the fearless Descenders to help gather souls, Xiluo sought information about crystal deposits that might provide another opportunity.

  • Xiluo entered the Twelve Royal Rings meeting and confronted No. 7, who accused him of using a false identity and complained that dragons had beaten him up.
  • Xiluo privately spoke with No. 1, the Pleasure Demon, who said her Soul Tree lacked nourishment and asked him to visit her in Abyssal Hell to collect souls in exchange for discounted Soul Fruits.
  • Xiluo suspected No. 1 might be colluding with No. 7, refused to visit or sign a devil contract, and returned to Niro City without Soul Fruit.
  • Abel proposed sending the Descenders to help the Pleasure Demon gather souls, and Xiluo considered the idea before entering the King's Ring again.
  • Xiluo asked No. 4 about crystal mines or production areas occupied by a single person, beast, or monster, and she offered to answer three questions for thirty thousand gold coins.

Ch. 275The Dragons and the Decision

Xiluo bought a map to an underwater Sea God Crystal source from No. 4 Information Lady for 15,000 gold coins, gambling that the site met his requirements. After learning the site lay 4,000 meters beneath the sea, he left alone for a villa in the Rich District.

  • Xiluo asked No. 4 Information Lady for information on crystal deposits and chose a Sea God Crystal source owned by someone below Legendary strength.
  • Xiluo consulted Barbara and the dragons, but they knew of no suitable targets they could safely attack.
  • Xiluo paid No. 4 15,000 gold coins for a map and found the marked site 1,500 kilometers from Babari Island, 4,000 meters underwater.
  • The dragons reacted to the cost, and Abel and Allen admitted they could not safely accompany Xiluo into the deep sea.
  • Xiluo told the dragons to stay behind and flew toward an enormous walled villa in the Rich District.

Ch. 276The deep sea and an old acquaintance

Xiluo ventured into the deep sea to find Sea God Crystals, using his Thunderfall Dragon abilities to evade the Lanboer Kingdom’s fishmen. Near his destination, he discovered three Tidal Titans searching for the same treasure, including an old acquaintance, and overheard them warn that an escapee might bring reinforcements.

  • Xiluo asked Anali, Xueli, and Flora about the marked location and learned it lay in the Lanboer Kingdom, whose Sawtooth Shark Fishmen attacked outsiders.
  • The mermaids advised Xiluo on how to approach the site and sent a Naga Spellcaster to guide him to the kingdom’s border.
  • Xiluo descended to 4,000 meters, killed and tasted a Deep-Sea Demon Fish, then swam toward the treasure while avoiding fishmen settlements and patrols.
  • After searching the dark seabed without success, Xiluo spotted three powerful Tidal Titans and recognized one as the Titan he had helped the Merfolk defeat years earlier.
  • Xiluo overheard the Titans confirm they had come for Sea God Crystals, argue about the old acquaintance’s failures, and order Tam to lead them to the crystals before an escapee returned with reinforcements.
