Zhao Yi strengthened Linghua Island, fought in the market-share duels, and led Wang Qing and Li Hai through a dangerous Water Mansion expedition. After Guiwu advanced and the island prepared for new threats, Zhao Yi left to establish his Dao Foundation.

• Zhao Yi brought Chen Yichong and Chen Feng back to Linghua Island, organized the island’s affairs, and established support for its disciples.
• Zhao Xinghe asked Zhao Yi to accept Jin'er as a disciple and gave him a body-refining technique, then Zhao Yi prepared to fight for Linghua Island’s market share.
• Zhao Yi killed Qin Wuya in the Dharma Combat, and Zhao Xinghe awarded the Zhao Family a twenty-percent share while warning Zhao Yi of Daoist Liefeng’s revenge.
• Zhao Yi helped Liu Yu advance to the Spirit Attraction Stage, then reached perfection of spirit drawing himself and went to Azure Cloud Island to find Wang Qing and Li Hai.
• Zhao Yi rescued Wang Qing and Li Hai from their attackers, and the three entered the Water Mansion, where Zhao Yi was badly wounded while securing spirit trees.
• Zhao Yi, Wang Qing, and Li Hai escaped the Water Mansion and killed a Dao Foundation cultivator who ambushed them, while Guiwu was gravely wounded and later recovered through advancement.
• Li Hai and Liu Yu defended Linghua Island’s market share, and Zhao Yi returned with Guiwu, now a powerful Black-Shelled Horned Turtle, before ordering the island’s disciples to cultivate.
• Zhao Yi visited Zhao Xinghe, learned that the Han, Feng, and Xu Families had moved into the region, and left for his undersea cave abode to establish his Dao Foundation.

Zhao Yi emerged from seclusion with a superior-grade Dao foundation and learned that Daoist Liefeng had devastated Linghua Island during his absence. He restored the island's strength and expanded its holdings, then returned from Outer Sea battles with Zhang Ying and Guiwu both at the Dao Foundation Stage.

• Zhao Yi cultivated in seclusion while demon generals massacred islanders and Daoist Liefeng devastated Linghua Island, fatally injuring Chen Yichong and severely wounding Liu Yu, Wang Qing, and Li Hai.
• Zhao Yi condensed a superior-grade Dao foundation after ten years of seclusion and returned to Linghua Island.
• Zhao Yi secured treatment that healed Liu Yu, celebrated his advancement, named Liu Yu his successor, and began strengthening Linghua Island's formations and earth veins.
• Wang Qing obtained an archery inheritance and Li Hai obtained a sword art inheritance from Wind-Thunder Rogue's cave abode.
• Zhao Yi reunited Yuan Lie with the Crimson Flame Sect, and Liu Cong entrusted Black Wind Island to Linghua Island before relocating his sect.

• Zhang Ying reached the Dao Foundation Stage using the Crab Demon's core, and Zhao Yi's group killed a snapping turtle Demon Cultivator after he wounded Guiwu and Zhang Ying.
• Guiwu formed a fourth-grade Vast Abyss Dao Foundation during the group's recovery, renewed his Blood Contract with Wang Qing, and returned with Zhao Yi and the others to Linghua Island.
