"Good heavens, what on earth has Fourth been keeping in his house?"
"Wait, that's not right!"
Fu Wenzi sprang up from the ground with a kip-up.
Qin Yan, who had been crouching beside him, wiping the sweat from his face with a little handkerchief, was so startled that she landed on her bottom.
It didn't hurt, though.
A pair of hands picked her up.
Qin Yan turned and beamed at Younger Uncle.
"Silly."
She was still smiling so brightly after falling.
Qin Yan raised the handkerchief and wiped his face too.
"Younger Uncle, are you tired?"
Fu Zhige snorted. "That wasn't even enough to fill a gap between my teeth."
He narrowed his eyes, the corners of his mouth curling into a wicked, unrestrained smile.
"But that's fine. There's a spatial rift here, so there must be plenty of contaminated creatures. Just right for getting some practice."
Beside them, Fu Wenzi was still muttering.
"No, no, Fourth awakened a dragon bloodline. He doesn't have the ability to control these things."
"It's that Anomaly. We're screwed. Fourth's situation probably isn't looking good."
He turned to say something to Little Fifth, only to have a sweet-smelling, beautiful baby stuffed into his arms.
Fu Zhige held his weapon, still that Vajra Pestle, though it looked more like a spear.
"I'm heading out."
He hadn't had his fill of fighting yet.
With that, he vaulted over the wall and left, leaving Fu Wenzi and Qin Yan staring at each other.
Holding his little niece, Fu Wenzi took a deep sniff of her to ease his rather shitty mood.
"What a curse! Every last one of them-I can't keep a single one in line!"
He was an older brother, after all, but he had two older brothers above him who could keep him in line
