A closer look revealed that the enormous Anomaly did not actually look like that. Rather... its body was studded with corpses.
Human faces covered many parts of it, as though many people had been forcibly fused together. Every face was hideously contorted.

That Anomaly really did a number on their sanity.
It was even more of an assault on the eyes than those Anomalies with animal features.

At the sight of so many people, the huge Anomaly actually roared.

More Anomalies crawled out of the earth.

But the friend she had just made suddenly grabbed her and ran.

The little boy said, "I know a shortcut."

The little silly realized something was wrong with her new friend.
But... where was this?
Jinbao, Jixiang, and the others were all gone.
Qin Yan puffed out her cheeks and pulled free of him.
"Where are you taking me?"
The little boy stopped and turned to stare at Qin Yan.
"We're friends."
"You promised to play with me."
Qin Yan swallowed. Something was wrong.
She turned and ran.
"Younger Uncle, Jixiang, Jinbao..."
The little boy appeared in front of her, making Qin Yan shudder in fright.
"Y-you're not human."
