Root? Kill Them Anyway!

The commotion also drew the attention of those nearby.

Soon, clan members from the Konoha Military Police Force arrived.

Before the clan members from the Police Force could speak,

several swishes rang out, and several ninja wearing animal masks appeared at the scene.

Root! Seiichi narrowed his eyes.

Seeing that they intended to take the man away without saying a word,

Seiichi planted his foot on the man's back, thwarting Root's attempt to take him away.

He addressed the surrounding Police Force clan members. "What are you waiting for? For this suspicious individual to recover and escape?"

The Police Force clan members were used to backing down. Though they felt deeply aggrieved, they had to obey orders from above, however aggrieved they felt.

But Seiichi's words seemed to give them a glimmer of hope.

Their faces lit up with excitement. "Yes, Young Clan Leader!"

Seeing the Police Force members move to take the man away, the Root members seemed very angry at being ignored like this.

Their tone was somewhat stiff as they said, "Root business. Hand that man over to us. You Uchiha can leave!"

The Police Force clan members all looked at Seiichi expectantly, and Seiichi did not disappoint them!

"Root? Never heard of it! What illegal organization do you belong to? Judging by your appearance, could you be some newly formed squad under the Anbu?

"But according to the agreement between the Second Hokage and our Uchiha Clan, all matters involving security within the village fall under our Police Force's jurisdiction. Even the Anbu have to stand. Aside! Understood? Take him away!"

Seiichi narrowed his eyes at them, his contemptuous gaze and tone greatly displeasing the Root members.

Hiruzen Sarutobi was the Hokage in the open, while Danzo often likened himself to the Hokage of Konoha's dark side.

Influenced by Danzo, Root's members believed they should hold the same standing as the Anbu.

Now Seiichi was not only insulting them with his gaze and gestures, but also belittling their standing with his words.

Especially since Seiichi belonged to the Uchiha Clan.

In the eyes of Danzo and his Root, members of the Uchiha Clan did not count as people, merely experimental material. Now a mere piece of experimental material actually dared to mock them, which the Root members found somewhat intolerable.

"This is your final warning. Take your Uchiha Clan members and leave immediately, or we will arrest every one of you!"

The Root leader wearing a black cat mask shouted sternly!

Though Root's members looked down on the Uchiha Clan, Seiichi's position as the Uchiha Clan's young clan leader still carried some deterrent weight. Such a minor matter was not enough to make them attack outright.

Root's words made Seiichi laugh in fury!

"Everyone, heed my command!" Seiichi folded his arms across his chest and shouted.

"Yes!" The Police Force clan members seemed to have guessed something. They looked at Seiichi with fervent eyes, awaiting his orders.

But Seiichi did not continue with an order.

The Root members seemed to sense something wrong with the atmosphere and actually made the very unwise decision to attack Seiichi!

At this, Seiichi finally smiled. He was not afraid they would attack; he was afraid they would run.

"Seize them, dead or alive!!!"

Those seemingly casual words utterly ignited the nameless fury that the Police Force clan members had long suppressed to its limit!

"Yes! We shall obey the Young Clan Leader's command!"

Finally, finally, finally, they had lived to see the Uchiha stand up.

These Root bastards had dealt with the Police Force before, and the Police Force members had suffered at their hands plenty of times. With the Young Clan Leader's orders this time, they could finally retaliate at full strength, holding nothing back.

"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"

The Police Force clan members had worked together for a long time and could perform combination ninjutsu to enhance their techniques' power.

The Dragon Fire Technique they unleashed together far surpassed the standard of a C-rank ninjutsu.

Watching their movements, Seiichi could see that they had absolutely no intention of leaving anyone alive, not even the slightest. They did not even intend to leave intact corpses.

"Water Release: Water Formation Wall!"

The Root members also knew combination ninjutsu, but the Water Release: Water Formation Wall they unleashed together was decidedly inadequate against that enormous, thick fire dragon!

It held out for only twenty-odd seconds before the Water Formation Wall broke.

As clouds of steam spread across the scene, the surrounding area became shrouded in mist.

The commotion here was so great that it also attracted many Anbu ninja, along with other ninja who happened to be nearby.

Root's members also successfully seized this opportunity to launch a signal flare.

"Stop this at once!!!"

That old bastard Danzo happened to be in the Hokage's Office with Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others.

It was very close by.

Seeing the commotion, they hurried over.

From far away, Danzo spotted Root's specially made signal flare and immediately shouted a stern order for the Police Force members to stop attacking.

The Police Force members saw that Seiichi showed no reaction at all, as though he had heard nothing, and understood his stance.

So not only did they keep going, they put even more force into their attacks.

By the time Danzo and the others arrived, the Police Force members had already stopped, while the Root members had long since become steaming lumps of black charcoal in human form!

Danzo burned with rage at the sight!

He did not care whether these few people lived or died. What infuriated him was that the Police Force members had ignored his words!

For someone like Danzo, who single-mindedly pursued power, having his orders ignored angered him more than being slapped in public.

"Men, arrest every member of the Uchiha Clan present!!!"

Danzo did not want to waste even a second. All he wanted now was to take every Uchiha Clan member away and send them to the operating table!

That included Seiichi, the Uchiha Clan's young clan leader whom he had long coveted.

A group of Root members obeyed Danzo's orders, appearing with the Body Flicker Technique and preparing to move against the Uchiha Clan members present.

Seiichi turned to look at Hiruzen Sarutobi, and their eyes happened to meet. He saw Hiruzen Sarutobi puffing away on his pipe as he watched the show, with no intention of speaking.

Seiichi narrowed his eyes. "All Uchiha clan members, heed my command!"

"Yes!"

"Seize everyone present who is concealing their identity and is not Anbu, and verify their identities! Anyone who obstructs you is to be arrested as well for threatening Konoha's security. Dead. Or. Alive!!!"

"No one is to attack! Seiichi Uchiha, what do you think you're doing?!"

Hearing Seiichi's words, Hiruzen Sarutobi could no longer stand by and sternly shouted for everyone present to stop.

If he did not intervene now, they really would end up in an all-out war with the Uchiha Clan.

But the village's fighting strength was depleted, while the Uchiha Clan's clan leader and elders were all present. This was not a good time to start a war.

Seeing Seiichi's attitude and the reactions of the other Uchiha clan members, a ruthless glint flashed through Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes, too subtle for others to notice, and he silently made up his mind.

The Uchiha Clan could no longer be allowed to remain!
