Madara stared at Seiichi in disbelief, as though he had heard the most absurd joke in history.
"Then try creating another Black Zetsu now. You should be a little stronger now than you were before.
It makes no sense that you could do it before, but can't now that you're stronger."
Seiichi analyzed the situation calmly.
Madara frowned, unease welling up inside him.
Could it really be as Seiichi said? Had Black Zetsu been keeping me in the dark all along?
Madara's expression darkened as he realized that what Seiichi said might be true.
"Why would this happen? I clearly..."
"Stop deceiving yourself. Black Zetsu isn't a manifestation of your will at all. Someone else created him!"
Seiichi cut Madara off, his tone firm and serious.
Madara's eyes widened as he stared at Seiichi in disbelief, filled with confusion and shock.
Seiichi's words silenced Madara again.
Madara had no way to refute him.
Black Zetsu had been very useful to him.
Naturally, he wanted as many as possible.
Yet apart from Black Zetsu, he had never succeeded again.
He had never considered it from this angle before, always assuming Black Zetsu had been born through an extraordinary coincidence that could not be replicated.
But now, as he carefully considered that explanation, it was riddled with holes and did not hold up at all.
"Black Zetsu... I don't know where he is. When I came to find you, Black Zetsu refused to come."
Now Madara, too, had come to his senses.
Not only could he not control Black Zetsu, this supposed manifestation of his own will, he did not even know where he was.
What kind of manifestation of his will was that?
"It doesn't matter. I know where he is."
Seiichi sensed someone spying on him.
He turned to look.
