Danzo's severed arm, Sharingan and Wood Release!

Danzo's severed arm was an eerie grayish white, twisted like the trunk of an old, withered tree.

But that was not the shocking part.

What truly made everyone's scalps crawl with shock was the sight of three scarlet Sharingan on that withered, trunk-like arm!

"Sharingan?!"

"Impossible! Why are there Sharingan on Danzo's arm?!"

"It's not just Sharingan! There's Wood Release on it too!"

"Wood Release?! The First Hokage's Wood Release?!"

"Danzo! What has he done?! He actually dared to steal bloodline abilities!"

"He's insane! Danzo has completely lost his mind! He actually transplanted the First's cells and the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan into his own body!"

Every ninja and clan head from Konoha stared at the severed arm in shock, their faces filled with horror and anger.

After all, stealing bloodline abilities was unacceptable in any village. It was a grave crime.

A kekkei genkai was the very foundation of a clan, a taboo that outsiders were absolutely forbidden to touch.

Yet now, Danzo's arm bore not only Sharingan, but Wood Release as well.

Danzo had not merely stolen the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan. He had also stolen the Senju Clan's Wood Release.

How could they not be shocked? How could they not be astonished?

Bam!

A deafening crash erupted.

Uchiha Fugaku, the head of the Uchiha Clan, slammed his hand on the table and rose to his feet, the tremendous force punching a large hole straight through the solid wood.

At the same time, Uchiha Fugaku activated his Sharingan and glared at Danzo.

"Danzo, what have you done?!"

"You actually stole our Uchiha Clan's Sharingan!"

Uchiha Fugaku roared in fury.

The Sharingan was the symbol of their Uchiha Clan, their pride.

Yet now, Danzo had stolen their Sharingan and even stitched them onto that grotesque arm that looked neither human nor ghostly.

As the head of the Uchiha Clan, how could Uchiha Fugaku not be angry?

Hiruzen Sarutobi, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura were also utterly stunned in the meeting room.

Staring at Danzo's severed arm on the floor, all three of their minds went blank.

They had not known that the arm Danzo usually kept wrapped in bandages actually bore Sharingan and Wood Release.

Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura in particular, despite usually being in cahoots with Danzo, had no idea that he had secretly transplanted Sharingan and Wood Release into his own body.

Hiruzen Sarutobi's expression was the ugliest of all.

Although Hiruzen Sarutobi knew that Shimura Danzō secretly conducted all sorts of sordid bloodline experiments, he had turned a blind eye.

But Hiruzen Sarutobi had never imagined that Shimura Danzō would go this far and transplant Wood Release and Sharingan directly into his own body.

Fine, go ahead and transplant them, but how could you let Gengetsu find out and expose you in front of everyone?!

Now look at this! In front of every clan head and elite jonin in the village, this Wood Release arm covered in Sharingan has been tossed right onto the floor. The evidence is absolutely irrefutable!

Hiruzen Sarutobi also understood perfectly well that the exposure of Danzo's theft of bloodline abilities had provoked public outrage.

If he failed to take a stand now, not only would the Uchiha Clan erupt, but every ninja in the village would completely lose trust in the leadership.

At that thought, Hiruzen Sarutobi abruptly stood up. The shock on his face instantly turned to anger as he shouted at Danzo:

Hearing Hiruzen Sarutobi's shout, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura also snapped out of their daze.

They were both veteran political operators. How could they fail to grasp the situation? Danzo was completely finished, and anyone associated with him would go down too.

The two immediately switched targets and began berating Danzo as well.

"Danzo, how could you do something like this?!"

"Danzo, you've been such a disappointment! To think you would do something so evil!"

The three members of the Konoha High Command now looked utterly righteous, as though they had truly only just learned of this, condemning him more fiercely than anyone else.

Watching Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others react, Gengetsu sat in the Hokage's seat at the head of the room with a look of disdain.

Just a moment ago, they had been in cahoots, united in their desire to trample the Uchiha Clan underfoot.

Yet now, they had immediately begun berating Danzo.

They changed their tune faster than turning a page.

"Cough, cough... I did all of this for Konoha!"

Just then, Danzo, who lay in the corner by the wall, spat out a mouthful of blood and struggled to his feet, his tone still defiant.

"For Konoha?! Hmph! I think you're trying to destroy Konoha!"

Gengetsu cut Danzo off and continued.

"Didn't you just say that the Sharingan's pattern appeared in the Nine-Tails' eyes?!"

"Now your arm is covered in Sharingan! And you even possess the First Hokage's Wood Release!"

"You orchestrated the Nine-Tails' Rampage! You killed the Fourth and his wife!"

Gengetsu looked at Danzo and immediately spoke, pinning the blame squarely on him.

Gengetsu's logic was perfectly clear, instantly forming a seamless chain in everyone's minds.

Danzo had Sharingan. He was fully capable of controlling the Nine-Tails.

Danzo had always coveted the Hokage position. He had every motive to kill the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze.

"No! I didn't do it!"

Hearing Gengetsu's accusations, Danzo panicked completely and hurried to refute them.

He could admit to stealing bloodline abilities, but he absolutely could not admit to orchestrating the Nine-Tails' Rampage and causing the Fourth Hokage's death. If that charge stuck, he would forever be branded with shame in Konoha.

"So you won't admit it!"

As his words fell, Gengetsu gave Danzo no chance to offer any more excuses, instantly appearing before him again.

Danzo was horrified and tried to resist, but with one arm severed and his body severely injured, he had no time to make a move.

Gengetsu's right hand darted toward Danzo's right eye beneath the bandages to gouge it out.

"Aah..."

Another scream rang out. Blood streamed wildly down Danzo's cheek as Gengetsu gouged out his right eye.

As Gengetsu opened his right hand, a scarlet Sharingan streaked with blood appeared before everyone.

"Danzo, what do you have to say now?!"

Gengetsu raised the Sharingan high, displaying it to everyone present.

Seeing that the right eye Gengetsu had gouged out of Danzo was also a Sharingan, everyone around them immediately erupted into an uproar.

"A Sharingan! Danzo's right eye is a Sharingan too!"

"Heavens! He didn't just transplant Sharingan into his arm. He even replaced his own right eye with one!"

"The Fourth was killed by a masked person with a single Sharingan! Could that person have been Danzo?!"

"It was definitely him! His right eye is a Sharingan. That matches the single Sharingan perfectly!"

"Sharingan and Wood Release on his right arm, and a Sharingan in his right eye too! The person who attacked the Fourth and unleashed the Nine-Tails really was Danzo!"

"Damn it! So this is the kind of person Danzo is! I always felt he was no good!"

"And he kept saying 'for Konoha' every day! It turns out he's Konoha's biggest cancer!"

"Danzo really did orchestrate the Nine-Tails' Rampage!"
