The great demons and the people from Spirit Ruins Paradise badly wanted to charge inside. But after looking at Jiang Xian's calm expression and considering for a moment, their desire to live ultimately overcame their greed. The Golden-Haired Demon Clan Maiden was the first to fly off into the distance, and the other demons soon left as well. The people from Lingxu Cave Heaven flew off in another direction.
Soon, the three of them got a clear look at the Ancient Hall. The entire hall was cast from five-colored divine jade, as though it had descended from the space and time of Desolate Antiquity, steeped in the weight of accumulated ages. Its foundation was covered in ancient characters depicting Desolate Antiquity Exotic Beasts. Dragons, phoenixes, tortoises, and qilins took varied forms, their strokes as forceful as iron hooks and silver slashes, magnificent in their grandeur.
"We've all got Resurrection Coins, so there's nothing much to fear. Let's go take a look inside together!" Jiang Xian said to Ye Fan and Pang Bo.
Ye Fan and Pang Bo nodded, and the three began walking into the palace.
Soon, the three found a golden page inside the palace.
"This should be the fragment of the Dao Scripture," Ye Fan said, looking at the golden page before him.
"That's right. Ye Fan, put it into your Bitter Sea. This should be one of the more precious things in here," Jiang Xian said, looking at him.
Ye Fan stepped forward and touched the golden fragment. The instant it touched his skin, a penetrating chill swept through his entire body. The fragment did not remain on his skin, but melted straight through his flesh, turning into a brilliant streak of golden light that sank directly into the Bitter Sea he had already opened.
They headed straight farther inside and saw a crystal coffin less than a foot long. The sound of a beating heart came from within.
"Qing Emperor's Heart. The Azure Emperor himself washed away all its killing intent, leaving only abundant vitality. Ye Fan, once we get Qing Emperor's Heart, cultivating our Azure Emperor Wood Sovereign Art will be a breeze," Jiang Xian said to Ye Fan with a smile.
"But you haven't obtained the green copper fragment yet, Ye Fan, so you can't suppress Qing Emperor's Heart. Why don't you see whether you can put it into the chat group's space first?" Jiang Xian suggested tentatively.
"All right, I'll give it a try," Ye Fan replied.
The next second, Ye Fan put the entire crystal coffin, including Qing Emperor's Heart, into the Chat Group Space.
"Brother Jiang, it worked!" Ye Fan said, a little excited.
"Good, just as I thought. There shouldn't be any valuable treasures left in here. Only the Azure Emperor's Weapon remains, and it has a deity, so we definitely can't take it. Let's head out!" Jiang Xian told the two.
Ye Fan and Pang Bo thought Jiang Xian made a good point, and the three walked out of the palace.
Just as they reached the palace entrance, a rumbling came from the distance.
Jiang Xian looked up into the distance and saw streaks of divine rainbow heading straight toward them. Divine rainbows swirled, beasts roared, and churning clouds obscured the sky. Dozens of savage beasts of ancient exotic bloodlines raced toward them over the clouds, each carrying a cultivator on its back. Their steps through the void rang with rolling thunder, like a vast army bearing down upon them.
Immediately afterward, more than a dozen war chariots appeared from another direction, speeding toward them.
"Ye Fan, your mother-in-law's family is here!" At the sight, Jiang Xian turned toward Ye Fan with a faint smile and casually teased him.
Ye Fan shook his head, his gaze utterly cold and his tone carrying a measure of resolve. "My mother-in-law's family has always been the Xu Family, and only them. I don't acknowledge any Ji Family."
Ye Fan looked toward the distant Holy Land and Ancient Family Cultivators, his eyes unruffled, and continued, "Besides, these so-called Desolate Ancient Families and holy lands repeatedly hunted me in the future timeline. I don't know why my future self would be so forgiving and merciful as to let them off. But that's Ye Fan from another timeline, not who I am now. As I am now, I will show them no mercy."
The people from the Yaoguang Holy Land and the Ji Family soon reached the three. Having seen Jiang Xian and the others emerge from the palace from afar, they knew the divine treasury inside had very likely already been taken by them.
The leading Ji Family Elder looked grim as he stepped through the air, his aura spreading in mighty waves. He threatened them harshly, "I am an elder of the Ji Family! You juniors have stolen the Azure Emperor's Supreme Treasure. Hand over the imperial treasury's opportunities at once, or you will surely die here today!"
An elder of the Yaoguang Holy Land beside him also stepped forward with a sword in hand, its sword aura bitterly cold. Brimming with arrogance, he shouted, "We come from the Yaoguang Holy Land! The Azure Emperor's relics are not yours to possess. Hand over every treasure immediately, and we may leave your corpses intact!"
Both powers brought their pressure to bear at once. Their many cultivators stood poised to strike, murderous intent surging as they prepared to seize the treasures by force.
Jiang Xian was deeply annoyed by the arrogance of the Ji Family and Yaoguang Holy Land members. Even he was not this arrogant. In his mind, he had already labeled them Blood Pills.
Every trace of a smile vanished from Jiang Xian's face. His tone was languid yet supremely overbearing as he declared loudly, "Hmph! I am an Outer Disciple of the Fengyueying Sect. What Yaoguang Holy Land? What ancient Ji Family? Never heard of them. A pack of bullies throwing their weight around on the strength of their families, dreaming of laying your hands on the Azure Emperor's Divine Treasury. Keep dreaming! Now get lost!"
But neither the Ji Family nor the Yaoguang forces had ever heard of any Fenglingyueying Sect. Rather than retreat, both sides flew into a rage. They activated their secret arts and divine weapons in unison and brazenly charged at Jiang Xian and the other two, intent on seizing the treasures and killing them by force.
Since they had no sense of their own mortality and insisted on seeking death,
Jiang Xian wasted no more words. A cold light flashed in his eyes. White Emperor Golden Slash erupted into existence!
Brilliant, overbearing golden sword light swept across the entire battlefield, unleashing irresistible power over it in an instant.
Every Ji Family disciple, every Yaoguang Holy Land cultivator, and all their mounts were annihilated by that single slash without even a chance to scream or struggle. All were slain on the spot, leaving nothing behind.
Looking at the scene before him, Jiang Xian felt some regret. He had failed to control his strength properly. Everyone before him had been annihilated, which was rather wasteful. He had underestimated his current strength a little. An ordinary Star Level should correspond to the Four Extremes, while his furious strike would probably have killed even someone in the Dragon Transformation Realm on the spot.
In the distance, the Spirit Ruins Paradise Supreme Elder and the Sect Master had wanted to return after seeing the arrival of the Yaoguang Holy Land's people, only to witness this scene. At the sight, they fled into the distance at light speed, wishing they could grease their feet.
Just then, melodious celestial music drifted from the horizon. More than a dozen graceful female figures swept through the air, passing above the shattered war chariots.
The women all wore plain white robes. Though they could not be called peerless beauties, each possessed an ethereal elegance untouched by worldly concerns. Their figures were graceful and light as they walked through the air, like immortal maidens approaching over the waves, or spirits dancing beneath the moon, exuding an air of transcendence in every movement.
Some held bamboo flutes crosswise and played winding, lingering melodies, every note pleasing to the ear; others wore smiles in their eyes, their expressions gentle and soothing to the heart. The women were as lovely as paintings, their bodies wreathed in an elusive celestial aura far removed from the mundane world.
The people from the Yaochi Sacred Land came over to make some inquiries. After learning that this was actually the emergence of Qing Emperor's Tomb and gathering some information, they felt no greed and were preparing to leave.
