Arc 7The Yi City Breakout

The Hope Convoy joined the rescue of Yi City, where a vast Weird Tide overwhelmed the defenders and forced the survivors to flee. After Luo Fan reunited with his companions, a Third-Tier Weird Crystal helped An Xiaoran recover, Niu Dagang began transforming into a Weird, and Murong Xuan advanced to a Professional Sequence.

  • Jiang Shengnan paid Luo Fan fourteen Second-Order Weird Crystals for the Hope Convoy’s help and the risk of sheltering her, then joined the convoy as it prepared to help Yi City.
  • After Zhao Chunfeng’s divination and a four-to-three vote, Luo Fan led the Hope Convoy toward Yi City, where they joined a large rescue force and crossed a bridge into the city.
  • A vast Weird Tide emerged in Yi City, and Luo Fan’s group retreated as a One-Eyed Giant smashed the bridge and threatened the fleeing survivors.
  • Luo Fan used an Uncanny Artifact cannon to kill the One-Eyed Giant, but the abyss filled and the Weird Tide poured out, scattering the convoy and the other survivors.
  • A special Weird drained An Xiaoran until Rose gave Luo Fan a Third-Tier Weird Crystal, which helped An Xiaoran recover as the convoy escaped beyond the dark clouds.
  • Luo Fan reunited with Han Shanzhong and Lin Feifei, learned that Han had lost an arm while saving Lin Feifei, and received word that Zhao Chunfeng and Niu Dagang were on their way.
  • Zhao Chunfeng brought Niu Dagang back to the group, and Luo Fan learned that Niu Dagang was beginning to transform after a special Weird kissed his forehead before dying.
  • After the survivors traveled more than a hundred kilometers from Yi City, Luo Fan and the others pooled materials for Murong Xuan, who successfully advanced to a Professional Sequence.
Chapters 151–175 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 151An outrageous demand? Luo Fan, are you robbing me?

Luo Fan and the Hope Convoy drove off a Third Tier brown bear, but Jiang Shengnan stopped it and subdued it as her mount. Luo Fan demanded payment from her for the convoy’s efforts, and Jiang Shengnan challenged him to justify the price.

  • Luo Fan wounded the brown bear with a Triple Shot, and it fled after shattering Han Shanzhong’s shoulder.
  • Jiang Shengnan blocked the bear’s charge, then used her contract skill to make it submit and become her mount.
  • Jiang Shengnan thanked the Hope Convoy for helping her subdue the bear, while Luo Fan demanded two Second-Order Weird Crystals per person.
  • Jiang Shengnan protested that Luo Fan was robbing her, then agreed to hear his reasoning.

Ch. 152Hope Convoy, striking it rich?

Luo Fan negotiated compensation from Jiang Shengnan for the Hope Convoy’s help and for the danger her presence might bring. Jiang Shengnan agreed to pay fourteen Second-Order Weird Crystals and contacted Master Wen Hao to arrange payment.

  • Luo Fan argued that the Hope Convoy deserved a share for helping Jiang Shengnan subdue the third-tier Fierce Beast, while Jiang Shengnan resisted his attempt to demand extra compensation for using his Hybrid Drive Type 88 Sniper Rifle.
  • Jiang Shengnan offered ten Second-Order Weird Crystals, but Luo Fan cited Master Wen Hao’s post to argue that her presence could attract third-tier threats to the Hope Convoy.
  • Jiang Shengnan agreed to pay fourteen Second-Order Weird Crystals in exchange for the convoy accepting the risk of sheltering her, and Luo Fan added the debt to her bill.
  • Luo Fan suggested that Jiang Shengnan contact Master Wen Hao for Weird Crystals, so she took his phone and sent Master Wen Hao a message.
  • Niu Dagang and the others rejoiced at the prospect of receiving two Second-Order Weird Crystals each.

Ch. 153Using Jiang Shengnan as bait for third-tier prey?

Luo Fan negotiated for Jiang Shengnan to stay with the Hope Convoy during her recovery, planning to use her strength to help the convoy hunt dangerous prey. After she paid her bill, the convoy shared out the Weird Crystals, and Han Shanzhong advanced to Lv19 while Luo Fan discovered the Nightmare Nekomata could eat Weird Crystals.

  • Luo Fan explained that Jiang Shengnan’s presence could help the Hope Convoy hunt third-tier opponents, while Zhao Chunfeng’s Divination would help them avoid threats beyond their ability.
  • Han Shanzhong’s aura fluctuated as he advanced to Lv19, and he said two more Second-Order Weird Crystals might help him reach Lv20.
  • Jiang Shengnan told Master Wen Hao she would return after recovering, then received a Mustard Seed Bag containing a new Doomsday Phone, Uncanny Artifacts, and payment items.
  • Jiang Shengnan paid Luo Fan fourteen Second-Order Weird Crystals and the First-Order Weird Crystals owed for other supplies, and Luo Fan distributed shares to the convoy members.
  • Luo Fan counted his remaining Weird Crystals and watched the Nightmare Nekomata eat a First-Order Weird Crystal.

Ch. 154Something big happened? A fleet of fighter jets deployed?

The Hope Convoy stayed camped while its members absorbed Second-Order Weird Crystals, and Xiao Hei advanced to become a First-Tier Weird. Thirteen Gale Force fighter jets then flew overhead, and Jiang Shengnan learned that a major incident had occurred.

  • Zhao Chunfeng divined that the Hope Convoy could remain in place, and the survivors spent the day resting and absorbing Weird Crystals.
  • Zhao Chunfeng reached Level 12, An Xiaoran reached Level 14, and Murong Xuan advanced from Level 5 to Level 7.
  • Luo Fan continued feeding and raising Xiao Hei, whose aura surged and body grew after three days, marking its breakthrough to a First-Tier Weird.
  • Thirteen Gale Force fighter jets flew over the convoy, and Jiang Shengnan identified them as the force's full fleet.
  • Jiang Shengnan contacted Professor Wen and told Luo Fan that something major had happened.

Ch. 155Was This Really the True Face of the Apocalypse?

Jiang Shengnan explained that Weirds had sealed large cities to hunt their populations, leaving mobile survivors like the Hope Convoy as strays beyond the nets. She revealed that Yi City’s survivors planned a breakout in three days with outside support, and Luo Fan ended the chapter estimating that fewer than thirty thousand people might remain there.

  • Jiang Shengnan compared the Weirds’ hunts to adults sealing off lakes to catch large schools of fish while children played with strays, and the Hope Convoy realized that people in major cities were trapped.
  • Jiang Shengnan told Luo Fan and the convoy that survivors from Yi City had requested help and planned a mass breakout in three days, supported by the Aerospace Force and Gale Force.
  • Jiang Shengnan said that more than 2,600 Combat Sequence Users would take part in the breakout, prompting Zhao Chunfeng to estimate that about 50,000 people remained in Yi City.
  • Luo Fan disagreed with Zhao Chunfeng’s estimate and suggested that Yi City might have fewer than 30,000 survivors.

Ch. 156Humanity Drew Its Sword Against the Apocalypse for the First Time!

Luo Fan and the Hope Convoy learned how dire conditions were in Yi City, where survivors were trapped and cut off from the outside. After Master Wen Hao called for Sequence Users to join a rescue in three days, Luo Fan said the risks outweighed the rewards, and Zhao Chunfeng began a divination to guide the convoy’s decision.

  • Luo Fan explained that Yi City survivors might have a higher proportion of Sequence Users because they faced greater fear and fought Weirds more often.
  • Jiang Shengnan told the Hope Convoy that Yi City was only about thirty kilometers away, and Luo Fan gathered the group to discuss the situation.
  • Zhao Chunfeng explained that survivors inside major cities had been cut off from the newly circulated Doomsday Phones, so their plight had not appeared on the Sequence User Forum.
  • Lin Feifei showed the group Master Wen Hao’s post calling for Sequence Users to join a joint rescue of Yi City in three days.
  • Luo Fan said the rescue offered too little reward for its risks, and Zhao Chunfeng began a divination after Niu Dagang suggested it.

Ch. 157A divination result never seen before!

Zhao Chunfeng’s divination revealed an unreadable pattern, leaving the Hope Convoy to decide for itself whether to go to Yi City. After the convoy voted to go, it set out and began absorbing Second-Order Weird Crystals while staying near the city ahead of the battle in three days.

  • Zhao Chunfeng tossed three coins, which stacked perfectly, and said he could neither interpret the result nor divinate again for the same matter.
  • Luo Fan, Niu Dagang, An Xiaoran, Murong Xuan, Han Shanzhong, and Lin Feifei shared their positions on going to Yi City, leaving Zhao Chunfeng with the deciding vote.
  • Zhao Chunfeng agreed with Han Shanzhong that he would regret staying away, and Luo Fan announced the convoy would go to Yi City by a four-to-three vote.
  • Jiang Shengnan praised the Hope Convoy’s decision, and the convoy set out toward Yi City.
  • Luo Fan gave Xiao Hei a Second-Order Weird Crystal as the convoy members absorbed crystals and stayed within reach of Yi City ahead of the battle in three days.

Ch. 158Murong Xuan's promotion requirements had no upper limit!

As the Hope Convoy prepared for the battle at Yi City, its members reported their gains from absorbing Second-Order Weird Crystals and learned that Murong Xuan could promote using any material. Rose reached Level 16 and decided to go to the battlefield, telling herself she wanted to scavenge rather than see An Xiaoran.

  • Lin Feifei reached Level 16, gained Corpse Explosion, and learned she could now revive two corpses at once.
  • Luo Fan asked the convoy about their progress; Zhao Chunfeng reached Level 14, Niu Dagang and An Xiaoran reached Level 15, Lin Feifei was Level 16, Han Shanzhong remained Level 19, and Luo Fan reached Level 17.
  • Murong Xuan revealed that any material could fulfill her Professional Sequence promotion requirement, though higher-quality materials would raise her future potential.
  • Luo Fan urged the convoy to collect as many high-quality materials as possible during the battle at Yi City to help Murong Xuan become a powerful Artisan.
  • Rose absorbed three Second-Order Weird Crystals, reached Level 16, and decided to go to Yi City, claiming she wanted to scavenge despite hoping to see An Xiaoran.

Ch. 159Acquired: an RPG Rocket Launcher!

Ahead of the battle in Yi City, Luo Fan and the Hope Convoy learned of new trading privileges for nearby survivors and used the opportunity to prepare. Luo Fan bought an RGP Rocket Launcher and offered to help his companions acquire and appraise equipment before the fight.

  • Luo Fan rested ahead of the battle while the Nightmare Nekomata gnawed on a Second-Order Weird Crystal without showing signs of a breakthrough.
  • Zhao Chunfeng alerted Luo Fan to Master Wen Hao's announcement granting survivors within fifty kilometers of Yi City three daily trades and free shipping.
  • Luo Fan checked the Trading Section but found no Uncanny Artifacts he wanted, then bought an RGP Rocket Launcher with ten rounds for two Second-Order Weird Crystals.
  • Luo Fan offered Niu Dagang and the others First-Order Weird Crystals and his remaining trades, and offered to appraise their Uncanny Artifacts for a reduced fee.

Ch. 160Yi City, the battlefield!

As the Hope Convoy prepared for the coming battle, Luo Fan spent most of his remaining savings and Weird Crystals on ten Second Tier Uncanny Artifacts for the group. After a lavish breakfast, the convoy joined a growing force of survivors and reached the edge of sealed Yi City, where its members stared in shock at what they saw.

  • Luo Fan appraised ten newly purchased Second Tier Uncanny Artifacts, identified discrepancies in their effects, and spent most of his savings and Weird Crystals to strengthen the Hope Convoy.
  • Luo Fan reflected on how the convoy had become his family and urged everyone to survive so they could repay their debts.
  • The next morning, Luo Fan and Zhao Chunfeng offered the remaining ordinary survivors a choice, and Uncle Li agreed to drive and wait near the battlefield.
  • The Hope Convoy set off for Yi City, joined successive convoys, and found itself surrounded by a force of at least a thousand people by daybreak.
  • The Hope Convoy followed the main force to the edge of sealed Yi City, where Luo Fan and the others were shocked by the sight of the city.

Ch. 161The war began: one shot, one Fierce Beast!

Luo Fan and the rescue forces reached Yi City, where the military built a bridge across the abyss while battling Fierce Beasts. As the breakout effort began, Luo Fan stayed near the bridge’s midpoint and used his Sniper Rifle to support the advance.

  • Luo Fan saw that a deep abyss encircled Yi City, and fighter jets sent over the city were shot down by Fierce Beasts and ranged attacks.
  • A Sequence User grew vines across the abyss, and other Sequence Users formed them into a wide bridge while the military fought off attacking flying beasts.
  • The military deployed heavy weapons to suppress Fierce Beasts as survivor teams gathered and waited for the people inside Yi City to reach the bridge.
  • After receiving orders that the survivors were expected in about fifteen minutes, Luo Fan told Zhao and Xiao Ran to stay behind and crossed with Niu Dagang, Lin Feifei, Han Shanzhong, and Jiang Shengnan.
  • Luo Fan stopped near the bridge’s midpoint as An Xiaoran cast Holy Light Descent on him, then he fired his Weird Gun at Fierce Beasts across the bridge.

Ch. 162Peering: Luo Fan died!?

Luo Fan and the other Sequence Users cleared a massive wave of Fierce Beasts, but he suspected the battle was too easy. Zhao Chunfeng’s Peering showed a vision of a future nighttime attack in which a One-Eyed Giant Weird struck Luo Fan down, so Zhao Chunfeng rushed to warn him.

  • Luo Fan conserved his ammunition, switched to close combat, and helped the Hope Convoy fight off the Fierce Beasts on the bridge.
  • After about ten minutes, the fighters had nearly cleared the beasts, and Jiang Shengnan’s third-tier mount had borne much of the pressure.
  • Luo Fan questioned why Yi City’s defenders seemed so weak, noting that only two third-tier Fierce Beasts had appeared.
  • Zhao Chunfeng’s Peering showed the battlefield at night, with survivors fleeing and a One-Eyed Giant Weird attacking the bridge.
  • Zhao Chunfeng saw the giant strike Luo Fan and hurried across the bridge to warn him.

Ch. 163An endless Weird Tide!

Rose watched the Hope Convoy fight at the Yi City battlefield and saw Luo Fan’s improved marksmanship. After Zhao Chunfeng foresaw Luo Fan dying to a Third-Tier Weird at night, Luo Fan led the convoy into Yi City to help the survivors, but a sudden darkness brought an endless Weird Tide.

  • Rose found Niu Dagang, Han Shanzhong, Lin Feifei, An Xiaoran, and Luo Fan among the fighters and noticed Luo Fan’s precise shots.
  • Zhao Chunfeng warned Luo Fan that his Peering showed the rescue battle lasting into the night and Luo Fan dying to a Third-Tier Weird.
  • As the Yi City survivors neared the bridge, the military ordered the Professional Sequence users to advance into the city.
  • Luo Fan decided the Hope Convoy would fight for eight hours and then leave together, and he led the others into Yi City.
  • Ghost Howls sounded, dark clouds blotted out the sky around Yi City, and countless Weird emerged to form an endless Weird Tide.

Ch. 164Xiao Hei, attack!

Luo Fan and the Sequence Users fleeing Yi City were trapped by a Weird Tide summoned beneath unnatural darkness, and a falling locomotive broke their escape bridge. As the One-Eyed Giant advanced toward them, Luo Fan sent Xiao Hei to attack it, slowing the giant with a rule-type skill.

  • Luo Fan joined the Sequence Users escaping Yi City, but dark clouds covered the sky and a vast Weird Tide appeared, led by a nearly hundred-meter-tall One-Eyed Giant.
  • Luo Fan recognized the giant from Zhao Chunfeng's warning and led the retreat toward the bridge, but a locomotive crashed down and broke it.
  • Sequence Users began repairing the bridge with vines while Xiao Hei rushed in from the darkness and attacked nearby Weirds.
  • Luo Fan called Xiao Hei to stop the approaching One-Eyed Giant, and Xiao Hei climbed onto its shoulder and stacked attacks that reduced its speed by 30%.

Ch. 165Golden Contract Activated, Facing the One-Eyed Giant!

Luo Fan used Xiao Hei to weaken the One-Eyed Giant while Sequence Users fought to hold the bridge and repair its gap. After Jiang Shengnan interrupted the giant’s attack, the crowd’s retreat collapsed into chaos, and Luo Fan moved toward the giant to stop its descending palm.

  • Luo Fan had Xiao Hei reduce the One-Eyed Giant’s defense by 60%, then switched to the Golden Contract and kept attacking.
  • Sequence Users divided their forces between holding off the Weird Tide and protecting the bridge repairs, but the One-Eyed Giant smashed the repairs with two dump trucks.
  • Jiang Shengnan merged with her brown bear and charged the One-Eyed Giant, forcing it to stagger and miss the bus it threw at the bridge.
  • The bridge repairs were completed, but the Sequence Users panicked and fled in disorder, allowing the Weird Tide to overrun their line.
  • The One-Eyed Giant reached the bridge and brought its enormous hand down as the crowd fled, while Luo Fan advanced toward it, relying on the activated Golden Contract to stop the blow.

Ch. 166Hero!!!

Luo Fan used his Death Immunity to block the cyclops’s strike, knocking the giant down and surviving unharmed. As the battle continued and troops prepared to destroy the bridge, Luo Fan reached an Uncanny Artifact cannon and asked about its power and side effects.

  • Luo Fan charged the cyclops and took its palm strike, using Death Immunity to remain unharmed while the recoil knocked the cyclops onto its backside.
  • Sequence Users fled across the bridge while Weirds attacked, and a commander ordered troops to prepare to destroy the bridge.
  • The cyclops rose and roared as the Nightmare Nekomata raced through the fighting.
  • Luo Fan leaped out of his crater, used Spirit Void Step to reach an Uncanny Artifact cannon, and asked a nearby person how powerful it was and what side effects it had.

Ch. 167Consecutive Level-Ups, Lv19!

Luo Fan used a Second Tier Uncanny Artifact cannon to kill the peak third-tier One-Eyed Giant and rose to Lv19. The survivors destroyed the bridge to stop the Weird Tide, but the ground began shaking violently.

  • Luo Fan learned that the cannon's shots weakened its user for ten minutes per shot on the following day, then took control of it and aimed at the One-Eyed Giant.
  • Luo Fan fired three shells in one second, blasting off the One-Eyed Giant's arms and punching a hole through its chest, killing it.
  • Luo Fan's sequence level increased to Lv19, and he realized he had gained two levels in a row.
  • After the commander called for help, the Sequence Users charged onto the bridge and fought the Weird Tide while retreating.
  • Once the survivors had withdrawn, the cannons destroyed the bridge, but the ground began shaking violently.

Ch. 168Not just controlling the weather, but the earth too?

The abyss beneath Yi City filled with rising earth, unleashing the Weird Tide and sending the humans fleeing. Luo Fan escaped by bus with An Xiaoran, Murong Xuan, and two pets, while a sword-wielding Sequence User helped from the roof; a female humanoid Weird collected the One-Eyed Giant’s crystal and headed after Luo Fan.

  • The ground shook as earth rose from the abyss, and Luo Fan realized that powerful Weirds might control both the weather and the earth.
  • With the abyss about to disappear, the humans fled in every direction, and Luo Fan drove off with An Xiaoran, Murong Xuan, and two pets, leaving their other companions behind for the moment.
  • A Sequence User jumped onto Luo Fan’s bus roof and helped fight off Weirds and clear a boulder with icy sword energy.
  • The abyss filled, and the Weird Tide poured out of Yi City, overrunning fleeing humans and swallowing a fighter jet and a tank despite their attacks.
  • Several injured Sequence Users sacrificed themselves by exploding and killing nearby Weirds.
  • A female humanoid Weird took the One-Eyed Giant’s third-tier Weird Crystal and other crystals, then ran in the direction Luo Fan’s bus had gone.

Ch. 169A peculiar Weird, An Xiaoran in danger!

Luo Fan and the others fought through the Weird beneath the dark clouds and neared the sunlight, but a strange ash-like Weird attacked the bus. It seized An Xiaoran and began draining her as Luo Fan warned her too late.

  • Luo Fan sent Xiao Hei out to thin the pursuing Weird, then joined the fight while Murong Xuan drove and a silver-haired saber-wielding Sequence User guarded the bus.
  • After traveling seven or eight kilometers, the bus neared the edge of the dark clouds, and Luo Fan used his Weird Gun to kill approaching and flying Weird.
  • Luo Fan shot an eight-limbed Weird that was draining another Sequence User, but its body rippled around the bullet and dissolved into ash.
  • The Weird re-formed beside Luo Fan, and holy light from An Xiaoran struck it without destroying it.
  • The Weird materialized inside the bus and reached for An Xiaoran; her Windwalker Boots let her dodge its embrace, but it grabbed her hand and began draining her.

Ch. 170A Weird That Ignored Sunlight?

Luo Fan and the others escaped the Cloud-Covered Area, but An Xiaoran continued to waste away from the special Weird’s attack. As Luo Fan searched desperately for a Third-Order Weird Crystal to save her, a female humanoid Weird crossed into the sunlight and approached them.

  • The Nightmare Nekomata destroyed the special Weird before it could finish draining An Xiaoran, and Luo Fan carried her onto the bus.
  • The bus reached the sunlight beyond the Cloud-Covered Area, where the Weirds stopped at the boundary between light and darkness.
  • Luo Fan discovered that An Xiaoran was still shrinking; sunlight and a Second-Order Weird Crystal slowed the effect but did not stop it.
  • Luo Fan offered baby bok choy and his rule-type Uncanny Artifact in the Trading Section for a Third-Order Weird Crystal, but no one accepted the trade.
  • After waiting, Luo Fan opened his private messages to contact Master Wen Hao, while a female humanoid Weird crossed the boundary and walked toward the group in sunlight.

Ch. 171A Weird That Could Brave Sunlight and Even Speak!?

Rose broke her cover to save An Xiaoran, walking into sunlight despite the danger and giving Luo Fan a Third Tier Weird Crystal. Luo Fan used it to try to keep An Xiaoran alive, while the mysterious female Weird’s identity and intentions remained unclear.

  • Rose secretly followed Luo Fan’s bus in Weird form and killed a special Weird that attacked An Xiaoran, then escaped the other Weirds with Deceptive Doppelgänger.
  • As An Xiaoran weakened in the sunlight and a Second-Order Weird Crystal failed to help, Rose overcame her fear of Luo Fan and walked out of the shadows.
  • Murong Xuan spotted the female Weird approaching, and Luo Fan and the silver-haired man readied themselves as she crossed into sunlight and spoke.
  • The female Weird asked whether Luo Fan needed a high-tier Weird Crystal, then gave him the Third Tier Weird Crystal from the One-Eyed Giant.
  • Luo Fan replaced An Xiaoran’s Second-Order Weird Crystal with the Third Tier Weird Crystal, hoping it would stop her body from shriveling.

Ch. 172If Ai Si Were Here, Wouldn't He Have Plenty to Talk About with Him?

Luo Fan obtained a third tier Weird crystal from Rose, allowing An Xiaoran to begin recovering, but Rose postponed naming her demands until An Xiaoran healed. As the bus left Yi City, Luo Fan met the silver-haired swordsman Ximen Chuixue, whose manner reminded him of the deceased Ai Si.

  • Rose gave Luo Fan a third tier Weird crystal, and An Xiaoran's body began to recover as she absorbed its energy.
  • Rose said she would discuss her demands after An Xiaoran had fully healed, then withdrew into the shadows.
  • Luo Fan warned Murong Xuan and the silver-haired man that Rose was an unusual Rule-Type Weird, then carried An Xiaoran onto the bus as Murong Xuan drove away from Yi City.
  • Rose watched the bus leave and regretted giving away a top-grade third tier Weird crystal without asking for anything in return.
  • Luo Fan learned that the silver-haired man called himself Ximen Chuixue, a Lv21 Frost Swordsman Sequence, and his talk about acting cool reminded Luo Fan of Ai Si.
  • Luo Fan stopped chatting with Ximen Chuixue and messaged Jiang Shengnan, Han Shanzhong, Zhao Chunfeng, and the others to check on them.

Ch. 173Teammates reunited!

Luo Fan waited anxiously for word from his friends after the Yi City Weird Tide, then reunited with the wounded Han Shanzhong and Lin Feifei. Zhao Chunfeng finally messaged that he and Niu Dagang were on their way to meet Luo Fan.

  • Luo Fan heard from Han Shanzhong and Jiang Shengnan, but Zhao Chunfeng did not reply, leaving him worried about Zhao Chunfeng and Niu Dagang.
  • Luo Fan checked on the recovering An Xiaoran while waiting with the Nightmare Nekomata and Money Rat.
  • Han Shanzhong and Lin Feifei returned on a motorcycle, and Luo Fan saw that Han Shanzhong had lost his left arm while saving Lin Feifei.
  • Han Shanzhong asked about An Xiaoran, Zhao Chunfeng, and Niu Dagang, and Luo Fan said Zhao Chunfeng had not contacted him.
  • Lian Ziqiong messaged Luo Fan to ask if he was alive, and he replied briefly before Zhao Chunfeng's message arrived.
  • Zhao Chunfeng told Luo Fan that he and Niu Dagang were on their way, and Luo Fan asked whether Niu Dagang was with him.

Ch. 174Luo Fan, something is very wrong with Dagang!

After escaping the Weird Tide, Luo Fan and Han Shanzhong discussed their injuries and the convoy’s gains before Zhao Chunfeng and Niu Dagang arrived. Zhao Chunfeng warned that something was seriously wrong with Dagang, and Luo Fan’s expression changed as he looked at him.

  • Luo Fan learned from Zhao Chunfeng that Dagang was alive and that he and Niu Dagang were on their way to the Hope Convoy.
  • Han Shanzhong drank Healing Potions and told Luo Fan that losing an arm would not stop him from fighting Weird.
  • Luo Fan introduced Ximen Chuixue as a powerful Lv21 Frost Swordsman, and Han Shanzhong suspected he might want to join the convoy.
  • Han Shanzhong revealed he had reached Lv20, while Lin Feifei said her Corpse Explosion had helped her reach Lv19 after killing hundreds of Weird and Fierce Beasts.
  • Zhao Chunfeng and Niu Dagang arrived, and Zhao Chunfeng told Luo Fan that something was very wrong with Dagang.

Ch. 175Murong Xuan advanced to a professional sequence!

After escaping Yi City, Luo Fan and the surviving Hope Convoy members stopped to recover and assessed their injuries and sequence levels. Murong Xuan used the materials they had gathered to advance to a professional sequence, leaving the group ready to continue onward.

  • Luo Fan noticed that Niu Dagang was beginning to transform into a Weird after a special-type Weird kissed his forehead before dying.
  • Zhao Chunfeng led the convoy away from Yi City, and the survivors drove for six or seven hours before stopping more than a hundred kilometers away.
  • Over dinner, Niu Dagang reported reaching Level 16, while Zhao Chunfeng said he remained Level 14, and the group praised Luo Fan's defensive skill.
  • Luo Fan and the others pooled their gathered materials so Murong Xuan could advance to a professional sequence.
  • Murong Xuan absorbed the materials through a magic circle and announced that she had successfully advanced.
