The deepest cause of the world’s collapse was an ancient duel between its Master and Finality. Their overloaded collision corrupted the underlying data on a scale capable of destroying all of Boundless Endless. Over subsequent ages, that corruption also produced an immature new Master, designated Boundless Endless Heaven 1685.

Ancient accounts describe the original Master’s disappearance and the world’s descent into disorder. The separate disappearance of boundless and endless is recorded in the closing chapters of the Starsea’s first expansion 1035 1152. The original Master also left behind boundless endless starlight after his demise 1512.

Boundless Endless descended upon Blue Star ten thousand years before the beginning of Zhou Heng’s adventure. Its arrival transformed a civilization previously classified as Type 0.7 and established the Online Game Era 1 998.
