Origins and Rise

The Longevity Family was originally an individual family organization supported by the Blue Star Federation. The True Chapter records that it secretly colluded with the Three Calamities, including the Source of Lifespan Calamity, corrupted time, and used a Time-Space Travel Shuttle to return to the past and begin plotting from the First Chapter 671.

Their decisive rise is associated with the Sixth Chapter, Players' Contempt, and the mysterious “?????????” Secret Realm. From that turning point, more than 4,000 years before Zhou Heng's investigation, they surpassed the Blue Star Federation and became the world's strongest power 207 244. A later record reveals that Lin Ming, the Sixth Chosen One, helped Su Longevity contact the Secret Realm, through which he obtained the power to resurrect his mother 943.

The chronology of their return is not straightforward. Karenna's memories suggest that they reached the closed beta rather than simply the launch of Boundless Endless. Later records state that although π Longevity was formally named in the Secret Realm in Online Game Era Year 08000, the real π Longevity had already hidden himself at a pre-launch Time Node 638 944.

Renaming

“Longevity Family” is their prestigious public designation; “Longevity-Cursed Species” emphasizes their curse and vulnerability to eradication. Before ordinary players, they present themselves as a superior ruling class, but weapons such as the Sakast Imperial Sword can expose the limits of that position 259.

Zhou Heng makes the replacement official when completing the Ninth Chapter and opening the Tenth Chapter, Miserable Human World: “Longevity-Cursed Species.” Through the Sakast Decree, he chooses to erase “Longevity Family” and replace it with “Longevity-Cursed Species” 309.

Appearance and Identification

• Golden brow lotus: Their characteristic mark is a golden lotus or a number of petals between the brows. The lotus itself is identified as their curse 207 557.
• Concealable identity: Members can hide their forehead marks and live among ordinary Blue Star residents, including as unsuspected romantic partners 623 624.
• Variable apparent age: Long life does not prevent deterioration. Miners visibly age through lifespan expenditure, while members cut off from the Longevity Ancestral Land rapidly become elderly 206 618.
• Clone characteristics: The later ten-petaled clones have clear eyes and faces closely resembling Su Longevity 977.

Abilities & Mechanics

Longevity Curse and Virus Source Species

The curse is connected to Virus Source Species, rather than being merely a descriptive name for unusually long-lived players 636.

• Swallowing a Virus Source Species gives Zhou Heng a single pale-gold petal and an identity marker associated with longevity 636.
• Its associated mechanics immediately flow toward the strongest longevity unit, leaving him only the identity symbol. Zhou Heng concludes that π Longevity has monopolized the corresponding mechanics of other members 636.
• The True Chapter identifies possible connections between the curse, the Source of Lifespan Calamity, and the “?????????” Secret Realm, but does not present those connections as fully explained 671 943.
• Henala suspects a deeper curse chain behind the Despair Curse is connected to the golden lotus, though she cannot establish a complete explanation 557.

Lifespan Accumulation and Dependence

Longevity is a resource that can be spent, transferred, stolen, or exhausted—not a guarantee of invulnerability 206 564 818.

• Captain protection: A copied SSS ability prevents a captain from being targeted by means below Divine Truth while its squad exists, although the protected captain cannot deal damage in that state 542.
• Army Lord Karenna: Commands major encirclement operations against Zhou Heng 539.

Exploitation and Resistance

The family's selection system exploits its own members as well as outsiders. Zhou Heng encounters one- and two-petaled members reduced to lifeless-eyed laborers, and former nine-petaled elites are sent to the Land of Longevity after losing much of their memories 319 867.

Its victims also become defectors. A member of the Li Family abandons his lineage after being substituted into an experiment despite not being selected by lot and witnessing the deaths of his wife, children, and grandchildren 550. Su Qingxin openly petitions the Lord of Time and Space as a member of the Longevity Resistance Army, seeking to oppose the virus 524.

Eventually, Zhou Heng uses Su Qingxin and a Galactic Federation Divine Truth Projection to shatter the Thought Seal and free the species' players. Nearly all abandon the Longevity Family for the Longevity Curse Resistance Army, leaving the leadership dependent on Su Longevity's own clones 977.

White River Purifying Bottle

• Its curse-containment effects can purify a defeated member before Revival Coins activate, as demonstrated against Wang Daoyun 217.
• Containment can produce Call of Longevity summons, including purified versions of Wang Daoyun and Wang Wuyi 217 278.
• Later upgrades remove the initial death-trigger requirement for targets judged weak and eventually counter the Resurrection Factory 378 733.

Lifespan Judgment and Specialized Effects

• Beasts of Longevity possess Rejection of Lifespan and can only be killed by Lifespan Judgment; ordinary damage is not a substitute 244.
