"That's it?"
Yugito Nii stood with her hands on her hips, looking at Kakashi, who had taken off his mask, and spoke mockingly.
"Hmm?"
"Have you forgotten who we both used to be?"
Kakashi stiffened, then scratched his hair and smiled a little awkwardly.
"What? An old friend turned enemy?"
Yugito Nii moved closer, looking into Kakashi's eyes as she pressed the attack.
His eyes were familiar, though they had lost some of their spark.
As for his face, it seemed much better-looking than the face he had worn in disguise, though his face covering kept her from seeing all of it.
"Ahem, it was a mission, after all. I was only planning to stay undercover back then. You were the one who approached me first."
Kakashi argued in defense of his innocent self.
Heaven was his witness: the reason he had stayed single all these years was that heart of his, chilled by years of ANBU missions.
