"Are you kidding me?!"

Just as Madara began to clap, Obito let out a furious roar behind him.

"Madara, you orchestrated Rin's death?!"

A black chakra rod had already appeared in Obito's hand. Just a second earlier, they had been getting along like grandfather and grandson; now they had sped straight to drawing weapons on each other.

"Obito, you're still too young."

Madara did not turn around. As though utterly confident in himself, he spoke slowly.

"That little girl's death had no meaning. The real meaning lies in you."

"Her death was what made you understand the world's falsehood."

"So that question has no meaning to begin with."

Click.

The black chakra rod instantly struck the blue skeletal frame of Susanoo.

Madara frowned, turned to look back at Obito, and asked coldly.

"Obito, what are you trying to do?"

"You old bastard. You set me up."

Obito stared fixedly at Madara. Right now, he wished he had pulled out Madara's supply tubes all those years ago.

He should have let him die sooner. Then nothing would have happened to Rin.

"Set you up? Rather than that, I would prefer to call it a test."

"Only those who pass the test are qualified to join the sacred Eye of the Moon Plan."

Madara looked at Obito before him and spoke calmly.

"Are you kidding me? Then what was the point of everything I did?!"

Obito's expression looked somewhat terrifying. His original goal had been to create a world with Rin in it.

But the fundamental reason had still been Rin's death.

Now he was being told that Madara had actually caused Rin's death, and that Madara had done it to test him.

So he was the one who had gotten Rin killed.

Obito trembled, looking at his own hands in bewilderment.
