Black Zetsu turned his gaze toward the three Fusion White Zetsu and Muku, who wore a white lab coat.
"Start destroying. Destroy to your hearts' content."
At Black Zetsu's command, the three White Zetsu and Muku roared in unison, then abruptly grew in size.
"Roar!"
For a moment, four roars carrying four emotions-joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness-rang out from underground.
The ground trembled, and then four purple beams shot straight up from underground toward Konoha's underground barrier.
"Something's wrong!"
In an instant, the Root Shinobi guarding the Root Base recognized the enemy attack, and the defensive barrier installed at the base unfolded into several layers of purple defenses.
The barrier collided with the dark purple beams fired by the four Satori. A tremendous explosion instantly rang out, followed by an unbroken series of shattering barriers.
Naruto moved in a flash, reaching the lowest level in just a few breaths.
"Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence!"
Naruto's own chakra surged underground. In an instant, countless waves of trees appeared beneath the earth, spreading and winding continuously to form a solid defense beneath the base.
The beams that broke through the barriers struck the roots and were easily stopped.
With Naruto supplying his enormous reserves of chakra, even destroyed roots could recover in a short time.
The current situation was actually the best they could hope for. After all, they just needed to drag things out, ideally giving everyone in the village enough time to evacuate somewhere safe before the fighting began in earnest.
There was also the prison. Obito and Madara both had to be kept under close watch.
For a moment, many thoughts flashed through Naruto's mind.
Fortunately, he had the ability to carry out all of them.
