"Ahem, we can begin."
Back on his home turf in the Interrogation Room, Tobirama carried himself like a true expert.
He coughed lightly and gave Tenzo a look.
The corner of Tenzo's mouth twitched. As though resigned to his fate, he turned and trudged into the prison with his head hanging, then brought Black Zetsu out.
"What happened? Have you agreed to my deal?!"
Black Zetsu had remained in prison all this time. Over the past few days, he had had no appetite for food or drink, constantly wondering what to do about his mother.
Now they had suddenly called him out. Had there been some progress on his mother's situation?
Yes, he was currently cut off from the world, completely and utterly without information.
From Toneri's appearance to Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's emergence, he knew nothing at all.
Tenzo did not know how to explain it. As Root's deputy leader, he knew quite a bit, including that the Second inside Itachi's belly had recently gone to the moon.
And the woman in the Interrogation Room just now was most likely the mother of this lump before him.
But knowing was one thing; telling him was another.
"Take a guess."
For once, Tenzo found a little pleasure in teasing someone during work hours.
Black Zetsu narrowed his eyes, then they lit up.
"My guess is that you agreed."
Tenzo gave Black Zetsu a mysterious look without saying anything and simply led him toward the Interrogation Room.
Sure enough, Tenzo had successfully piqued Black Zetsu's curiosity.
"Speaking of which, you barely ever saw your mother. Why are you working so hard to resurrect her?"
Tenzo asked curiously.
"As a child, seeing your mother sealed inside the pitch-black moon, sleeping in endless darkness for a thousand years, how do you think you would feel?"
