"See you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow, Sakura-chan."
"Ah, school's finally over!"
"Mmm, I really want something to eat."
The sunset cast crimson light through the windows. The school's dismissal bell rang, and the students marveled at how quickly time had passed, said their goodbyes, and headed home.
"Naruto-kun, um, please be careful."
After thinking it over, Hinata spoke to Naruto.
She could faintly sense a strange feeling Mizuki-sensei harbored toward Naruto.
Though it was hard to describe, it definitely wasn't anything good.
So Hinata had told Naruto-kun about it after class.
"Don't worry, Hinata. I'll be fine."
Naruto smiled as he patted Hinata's head.
"Thanks for the warning."
"Eep... then please be careful."
Hinata stiffened for a moment, then her ears turned red, and a puff of steam shot up from the back of her head.
She nodded, then hurried back to her seat.
Hinata: Naruto-kun touched my head!!! What do I do? This is so embarrassing, so embarrassing!!! ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄
"Boring. I'm heading home."
Sasuke's lips twisted. He hadn't told Naruto about Itachi.
Perhaps he hadn't wanted his friend to worry, so he had kept it to himself.
As a result, he had seemed gloomy all day, and Karin, sitting behind him, hadn't dared try to chat with him.
Karin: Wait, is this right? Wasn't he perfectly fine yesterday?
Naruto: I dunno~ We can corner him and ask him next time we have a day off. ┓( ´∀` )┏
"Oh, take Karin home with you. I'm worried she won't know the way."
Sasuke stopped in his tracks and turned to stare at Karin.
"Ah, oh, coming."
Karin silently gave her big brother a thumbs-up. Though she was a little worried about that teacher too, her brother was going to such lengths to give her a chance.
"Let's go."
