At Konoha's main gate, two heavily bearded Chunin who preferred to remain anonymous were chatting idly across the road.
A sudden, earth-shaking roar startled them into looking into the distance.
Far down the main road leading out of Konoha, a towering cloud of dust was steadily approaching the village.
One of the bearded Chunin grew a little nervous and hurriedly asked:
"Cousin, should we sound the alarm?"
The other bearded man was much calmer. He took out a telescope and held it to his eye, trying to see through the dust.
Unable to make out what was inside, he frowned and was about to tell his younger cousin to notify the village. Suddenly, his nostrils twitched, and he sniffed hard at the air.
His mind settled at once!
"No need. Go notify the village. Tell them Lord Takahashi is back!"
"Cousin, how are you that amazing?"
"The fucking smell of blood is almost as strong as Haochi beef jerky! What's so amazing about that? Get going!"
The younger bearded cousin nodded, then used the Body Flicker Technique to head into the village.
Including his buddy Danzo, Takahashi Yū had flown a total of sixty-two kites behind him. Leaving their condition aside, the speed had truly been incredible.
In less than a day, he had run from the Country of Roran in the heart of the Land of Wind to Konoha in the central Land of Fire.
Takahashi Yū could already see the Wooden Wall around Konoha. He hurriedly braked, carving two long furrows beneath his feet.
He set down his barely conscious buddy Danzo and the Bone Brutes, who had already grown accustomed to the agony of traveling this way.
"Make yourself presentable, Lord Hokage!"
"I'm heading back to the Farm first!"
