Orochimaru’s experiments brought Tobirama, Hashirama, and Madara back, while Danzo and Takahashi Yū learned of the Ōtsutsuki threat and prepared Konoha for war. The arc ended as Konoha’s forces set out to conquer the Shinobi World and the Uchiha found Kumogakure abandoned.

• Orochimaru intensified his experiments, while A began evacuating Kumogakure to Turtle Island and Chiyo recognized Sasori’s human puppet work in Sunagakure.
• Shui Ling sealed Nawaki to make him a Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, then died, and Takahashi Yū and Mizuki mourned her.
• Orochimaru resurrected Tobirama Senju, who inspected Konoha’s leadership and records before agreeing to see the village and its prosperity.
• Takahashi Yū told Danzo’s group about the Ōtsutsuki threat, and Danzo called a Jonin conference to announce a war against the Shinobi World.

Danzo united the shinobi world under Konoha and convened its leaders to prepare for the Ōtsutsuki threat. As conflict erupted in Old Danzo’s world, the Allied Shinobi Forces invaded the Land of Water, where Kisame and Kakashi’s forces prepared to meet them.

• Danzo brought Kusagakure into Konoha and led his forces to seize Iwagakure, reviving Ōnoki to take control of the village.
• Madara defeated Sunagakure’s defenders but refused to fight Sasori, then returned to camp and ordered Konoha’s forces home.
• Danzo unified the shinobi world, and the leaders gathered at Konoha’s conference to discuss governance, military readiness, and the Ōtsutsuki threat.
• A White Zetsu connected Takahashi Yū to Old Danzo, who revealed that the Fourth Shinobi World War had begun and the Allied Shinobi Forces were fighting him.
• Tobirama brought revived Mito Uzumaki to Rōran to investigate the Dragon Vein, while Obito left Konoha determined to bring Kakashi back.
• Kakashi questioned Danzo about the Allied Shinobi Forces, and Danzo gave him intelligence as the enemy prepared to attack the Land of Water.
• Takahashi Yū recruited Sakumo to help persuade the otherworldly Kakashi to return, while little Kakashi decided he wanted to learn cooking and open a restaurant.
• The Allied fleet advanced on the Land of Water, and Kisame and the Water Release Unit unleashed a massive tsunami as Kakashi’s group encountered the Third Raikage and Ōnoki’s airborne ships.

The Land of Water forced Konoha and Sunagakure to retreat, while Minato and Danzo dealt with the aftermath and Orochimaru tested Rinne Rebirth. Madara’s assault on the moon’s Ōtsutsuki clan sent the moon toward the Shinobi World, and Takahashi Yū helped stop its descent; the arc ends with Obito pursued in the Land of Water.

• Kisame, Mei Terumi, and Zabuza attacked the Konoha and Sand forces, but Old Danzo seized Asuma and challenged Hiruzen over Konoha’s rules and the Will of Fire.
• Minato arrived, acknowledged Konoha’s failures, and ordered a retreat, then warned the Iwagakure and Kumogakure fleets not to fight the Land of Water without warning.
• Orochimaru used Rinne Rebirth to restore the Third Raikage, who reunited with A and his former followers after learning that Kumogakure had fallen.
• Madara followed a passage to the moon, shattered the Tenseigan, and faced the Ōtsutsuki descendants, whose clan head sent the moon hurtling toward the Shinobi World.
• Danzo and Orochimaru organized a plan to slow the moon, sending Ōnoki to join Madara while Minato brought Takahashi Yū to the Laboratory.
• Old Ōnoki and Ōnoki accelerated the moon, and Madara used Super Shinra Tensei as Takahashi Yū leaped into the sky and halted its descent.
• Old Danzo ordered a search for Obito and sent Kakashi to Zabuza’s house under watch, while Obito stole Terumi Taki’s identification and fled from a patrol.
