"I know."
Lin Yuan replied.
Before leaving the East Pole Sea for the Abyssal Sea, he had crammed some basic knowledge about the Abyssal Sea.
That had included mentions of Abyssal Sea fragments.
So-called Abyssal Sea fragments were actually something similar to Transcendent Cores inside Abyssal Sea entities.
Abyssal Sea entities used them to wield Authority Power.
But ordinary transcendent creatures had a clear division of functions, with their bodies handling the physical side and their Transcendent Cores handling the transcendent side.
An Abyssal Sea entity was an integrated whole, and its Abyssal Sea fragment was merely a relatively crucial part that stored energy.
Only living Abyssal Sea entities could wield Authority Power.
The Abyssal Sea fragments left behind after their deaths had no such power.
Thus, human S-rank powerhouses still had to rely on relics to gain the ability to control Authority Power.
That said, Abyssal Sea fragments were, after all, the essence of Abyssal Sea entities. They contained special power that could nourish relics and, in extremely rare cases, even raise their rank.
They were therefore fairly useful.
Of course, this limited use meant they were naturally far less important to S-rank powerhouses than Transcendent Cores were to ordinary transcendents.
As such, Abyssal Sea fragments were nowhere near as valuable as relics, being worth roughly as much as ordinary A-rank Transcendent Cores.
After confirming what Lin Yuan knew, Research Institute 3154 explained:
"So you see, that's the key."
"In terms of value, an Abyssal Sea fragment is equivalent to an ordinary A-rank Transcendent Core."
"But in terms of the power they contain, the two are worlds apart."
"If we can convert the energy in Abyssal Sea fragments and use it to make transcendent potions, we can naturally bring down the price of the latter."
"The difficulty is that,
