"How about him, my little apple?" Hisoka gazed at Gon with burning eyes. "He's still very unripe now, but he'll grow into something delicious."
Hyuga Akira asked with interest, "What if I kill him before then?"
An icy killing intent suddenly erupted, drawing quite a few people's eyes.
Hisoka's smile twisted.
"I'll kill you, right here, right now."
Hyuga Akira waved a hand. "I was joking. Do you have to get so worked up?"
Hisoka's killing intent vanished instantly, as though it had never existed. He smiled. "Don't make jokes that could cause misunderstandings. You'll really hurt my feelings."
Hyuga Akira pursed his lips.
He looked at Killua and Gon. These two protagonists of Hunter World each came with a built-in bodyguard.
Killua had his older brother, Illumi, while Gon had Hisoka.
They simply chose different methods. Illumi wanted to keep Killua away from all danger, while Hisoka let Gon grow and even actively helped him.
Just then, a man wearing sunglasses and sporting a mohawk walked out.
"Examinees, congratulations on successfully escaping Trick Tower. I'm Lippo, a Bounty Hunter and Prison Warden. The third exam has ended, and you're about to begin the fourth."
Lippo pointed at the island behind him.
"It will take place on Saberu Island."
"Now, please cooperate."
Lippo snapped his fingers, and someone came out pushing a cart.
A box sat on the cart.
"Next, please draw lots."
Everyone began discussing it, and someone asked, "What's the purpose of drawing lots?"
Lippo smiled as he said, "Hunters and hunted. This box contains twenty-four Number Plates. In other words, it contains the numbers of everyone present."
"Now, please begin the draw."
Hisoka was the first to step forward and draw a number, and the others followed one by one.
Hyuga Akira watched everyone take their numbers.
