He strongly suspected that the change in the Nen fish's ability had a great deal to do with his chakra, but he could find no evidence.
As things stood, both the Nen fish and the two men were living on Hyuga Akira's chakra. Once his chakra ran dry, the Nen fish would disappear.
They would no longer be able to sustain the two men's lives, either.
Taira's gaze trembled as he stared fixedly at the White Fish swimming through the air. He did not believe Hyuga Akira, but he had no choice but to think about it.
If his guess was right, he would die as soon as those two fish were killed.
Living forever in this state would be torture for him.
Unfortunately, both his hands had been blown off. Unable to use ninjutsu, he could do nothing about the Nen fish. He could not even stand up and could only lie on the ground like this.

Hyuga Akira clenched his fists, walked over to Taira, and planted a foot on his chest.

Leveling up would restore him to his best condition. Hyuga Akira had not been sure whether missing body parts would affect that, so he had also kept [Consumable: Archangel's Breath SS-3] as a backup.
