Then... crash.
All the standing zombies fell to the ground.
They had not been slashed to death. Their limbs had been severed, neatly and cleanly, leaving them like a pile of disassembled dolls.
The cuts were unbelievably smooth. Even the rotten blood took half a second to seep out.
Wang Ying swung the blade in her hand twice more.
Swish, swish.
More zombies fell.
Thirty or forty zombies along an entire street were all brought down, reduced to writhing torsos littering the ground.
Their limbs lay scattered everywhere, their torsos twisting on the ground.
They let out low growls, but could no longer stand.
Cao Xianming immediately tapped rapidly on his watch device.
A command box popped up on the Light Screen: Request logistics retrieval.
He tapped and sent it.
The next second, a team poured out of the Light Gate.
They were logistics robots, one after another, small in stature but extremely quick.
They rushed toward the immobilized zombies with mechanical strides, extending mechanical arms to clamp onto a zombie torso and drag it back.
The instant the first zombie was dragged into the Light Gate, the Light Screen on Cao Xianming's watch flickered.
Mission progress: 1/100.
So that was how it worked, Cao Xianming thought.
Just like playing a game, each one completed added one to the count.
He glanced at the zombies on the ground, then at the number on the Light Screen, and suddenly frowned.
No.
There were at least thirty or forty on this street. Why was the number retrieved by the logistics robots...
He glanced at the Light Screen. Ten.
Of all the zombies on that street, only ten were usable.
The rest were either too badly damaged, or...
Cao Xianming's gaze landed on the severed limbs, and his pupils suddenly contracted.
