After Mechanical City trapped the White-Clothed Love Letter Ghost in a mirror, the Third Elder’s order forced the convoy to capture one hundred live zombies within an hour or be expelled.

• Yang Yong’s convoy fled the Goat Eerie through the Light Gate into Mechanical City, while Jiang Chen stayed behind and confronted the Eerie.
• Mechanical City’s soldiers attacked Yang Yong after their scan detected an eerie presence, but Wang Ying destroyed the attackers and the elders invited the convoy to stay.
• Cao Xianming and Yang Yong agreed to remain in the Outer City, where Kang Yixiang explained the city’s districts and its dependence on mechanical systems.
• Yang Yong introduced himself as Li Zhi and negotiated payment for forging Curios, while Xiao Yuxia resisted the mysterious voice urging her to join Mechanical City.

The Survival Convoy survived its zombie mission, uncovered a hidden sniper, and gained a foothold in Mechanical City. As Yang Yong forged a powerful Curio under the Elders’ scrutiny, Cao Xianming encountered a strange girl and the city’s factions began targeting the convoy.

• Cao Xianming led the Survival Convoy through the Light Gate, where Wang Ying froze and cut down zombies until an Eerie, variant zombies, and the Zombie King threatened the mission.
• Yang Yong and the convoy fought the Zombie King and its horde, reached the mission quota, and escaped through the Light Gate after an unknown sniper sabotaged their final capture.
• Cao Xianming traced the sniper to Wang Xiuqiang, whom Yang Yong defeated and later consumed after learning that the Third Elder had brought a convoy into Mechanical City through private connections.
• Yang Yong met Wang Yanfeng and Zhang Le, took their fine sand for reforging his daggers, then invited them to join the Survival Convoy in exchange for information about Mechanical City.

Yang Yong helped the Survival Convoy survive a zombie siege, then was captured by Wang Hongyu and discovered He Jie had arranged the attack to seize his furnace Sequence. After reaching Mechanical City’s central control room with the little girl, Yang Yong helped remove He Jie from power and was appointed the new Third Elder.

• Yang Yong agreed to forge Curios for the Survival Convoy in exchange for food and materials, while a mysterious little girl began appearing near him and guiding his work.
• After mechanical soldiers returned thirty-one stranded convoy members, two showed signs of zombification, and Yang Yong used Yezi’s ability to cure one at great cost.
• When zombies besieged their district, Cao Xianming led the Survival Convoy toward the Light Gate, and Yang Yong’s group fought through the Barbican to reach it.
• Liu Hong used the Cause-and-Effect Scissors to destroy the Light Gate, sacrificing his life while Yang Yong drew the Zombie King and its horde away.
• Yang Yong helped survivors coordinate a counterattack, but Wang Hongyu opened a Void Gate, captured him, and took him to a dark room.
• Yang Yong resisted Wang Hongyu’s attempt to devour his Sequence, learned He Jie had ordered the attack and the capture, then subdued Wang Hongyu and found himself in Mechanical City’s central control room.
• The little girl used Mechanical City’s defenses to clear zombies from District 36, then stripped He Jie of his powers and positions after Yang Yong asked her to act against him.

Yang Yong took command of Mechanical City as the city’s defenses failed and a Zombie King attacked. After the survivors turned the battle around, Xiao Ying devoured the beings behind He Jie’s mission while He Jie tried to escape.

• Yang Yong opened more apertures and found himself trapped in the control room, while Mang Dabiao and Cao Xianming failed to locate him.
• He Jie used the City Lord Token to open the Light Gates, and the elders restored the shield before Yang Yong joined their council and helped restart it.
• The little girl sabotaged the city’s defenses, so the elders gave Yang Yong temporary authority and entrusted Mechanical City to him as they confronted the City Lord’s incarnation.
• Yang Yong appointed Cao Xianming commander and went to fight the Eerie, while Yezi spread her vines through the city and helped survivors flee.
• Yang Yong refined the Nine Nether Bone Armor as the Zombie King advanced, while Xiao Ying and Zheng Xiaofeng fought the zombie army and Zheng broke through to Sequence 3.
• Yang Yong attacked the Zombie King while his armor regenerated, and Cao Xianming’s forces contained the Zombies and closed several Light Gates.
• He Jie confessed his failure to the Holy Envoy, who revealed that their race would soon send a great army, before Xiao Ying broke into He Jie’s chamber.
• Xiao Ying ate the black mist and the figure from the shattered mirror, then Cao Xianming told her to restrain He Jie as he began fading from the real world.
