Bodhisattva Temple was vast.
Courtyard walls, side halls, the main hall, bedrooms...
All told, it was almost as large as Yu Residence.
Even the hidden sentry was a Seven Refinements expert.
But with Wei Sheng's current mastery of movement techniques, he slipped past him with ease, becoming an inconspicuous black shadow amid the temple's flickering lights as he headed straight for the tallest hall, which stood along its central axis.
Lights burned inside the towering main hall, but it was empty.
Upon entering, Wei Sheng immediately saw the statue of the Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva in the center of the hall.
"Hm?!"
Wei Sheng suddenly frowned.
It was clearly a solemn, sacred, compassionate bodhisattva, yet when he looked up at it, he sensed something evil and uncanny that stirred irritation in his heart.
Wei Sheng did not approach. He took out the box containing the "Flesh-and-Blood Gu Token" and casually hurled it at the lotus pedestal!
With his current strength, even a leaf he threw could easily pierce a tree.
Let alone a wooden box!
With a bang, the wooden box shattered a corner of the lotus pedestal. The Flesh-and-Blood Gu Token flew out and lodged firmly in one of its "petals."
Mission accomplished!
Wei Sheng turned to leave.
"Who's there?!"
Just then, a bald old man stepped out from behind the bodhisattva statue.
The old man wore a kasaya and appeared to be the temple's abbot. His beard and brows were white, and at first glance, he looked kindly, but closer inspection revealed that there was not a trace of compassion in his eyes-only ruthlessness and indifference!
"Who are you? How dare you trespass in my Bodhisattva Temple?!"
The abbot of Bodhisattva Temple stared coldly at Wei Sheng, the aura of Ten Refinements surging around him.
Wei Sheng was rather speechless.
