- Cangyang Konghai awarded Qu Zan a five-treasure Knowledge Long Chain, confirmed his slave origins, and said he could enter the Four Inner Courts.
- Cangyang Konghai revealed that the temple had investigated whether Qu Zan was [Formless Tathagata], whose power could disguise identities and alter ālayavijñāna.
- Qu Zan argued that [Formless Tathagata]'s true aims made him an unlikely suspect, and Cangyang Konghai agreed to report his analysis.
- Cangyang Konghai assigned Qu Zan to Mahā Hall and gave him a silver Talisman Plaque, and Qu Zan entered the Inner Court's Scripture Repository.
