Battle of the Mutants!
"The new teaching assistant is so cool!"
"He's handsome too! I think he's much better than Logan, who's all bark and no bite!"
Kitty Pryde and Rogue, two later pillars of the X-Men, would spend their free time exchanging their opinions on Stephen Fang.
On one side, the honest and simple-minded Colossus pouted, "I think they're all pretty cool."
The Rogue was a bit unconvinced, "Yukio, what do you think?"
Yukio blushed. "I... I think the new teaching assistant is cooler."
In Professor X's office, Professor X, sitting in his wheelchair, looked at the mess in the front yard and didn't know what to say.
"Jean Grey, this new teaching assistant, doesn't seem to be qualified to be a teaching assistant yet."
Jean Grey was also somewhat conflicted, but she still said, "I think Stephen Fang is quite good at controlling his abilities, Professor. Can you imagine someone with superpowers working in a dirty restaurant kitchen for fourteen years, enduring Byakugan, and ending up with no criminal record for the rest of their life?"
"Is that so?" Professor X's opinion of Stephen Fang suddenly changed drastically. "If that's the case, then this Mr. Stephen is truly remarkable in terms of character. He has never used his abilities to earn a single penny?"
Jean Grey nodded. "This information was obtained from S.H.I.E.L.D.'s shared data, not just his own account. When I first saw this information, I genuinely thought it was fake. But it clearly shows every restaurant where he worked, and even when his black boss withheld and delayed his wages, he never resorted to violence."
"Just recently, he first revealed his extraordinary abilities when a robbery occurred at the supermarket," Jean Grey recalled of the surveillance footage. "He even left the supermarket with the money he had saved to buy bread after he performed the act of heroism."
Professor X praised, "Noble character! He is more noble than all of us! It's so rare!"
Jean Grey nodded. "So I think he's particularly suited to be a teaching assistant. Even as a role model, he should come to Xavier's School to teach more often."
Professor X, in his wheelchair, nodded. "Understood."
As the two were talking, on the basketball court not far away, the Mutants, led by Pyro and Iceman, had just divided into teams.
The area around the arena was already packed with students who had come to watch the game, shouting excitedly and cheering for their respective teams.
Pyro looked at the bunch of losers in Iceman's team and sneered, "I'll give you a ten-point handicap!"
The Iceman, with his calm and collected demeanor, didn't take it seriously at all, and the two sides began a basketball game.
The team consisting of Pyro, Gambit, and Colossus arrived with great momentum.
St. John Allerdyce, the Pyro, was shirtless, revealing his muscular chest, the muscle lines gleaming in the sunlight, his dazzling blond hair flying wildly with his movements.
The Gambit stood not far from him; his fingers were nimble, and he could easily control the ball.
The tall and burly Colossus in with steady strides. His body was cast from steel, gleaming with a cold, hard metallic luster. Trying to grab a rebound from him was like banging your head against a wall.
In contrast, the other team, which includes Iceman, Kitty Pryde, and Havok, appears to have a rather thin lineup.
Robert Drake, the Iceman, was always half a head shorter than the Pyro due to his personality.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde stood next to Iceman. She was petite and had no basketball talent; she was just a mascot brought in to make up the numbers.
Havok Alex Summers was at the very back of the group, his brow furrowed and his eyes filled with tension.
The sharp whistle blew as the game started, instantly igniting the battle on the field!
Pyro took the initiative, using his legs to propel himself towards the basket!
At the same time, he lit the lighter with one hand and controlled the flame with the other!
A wall of fire formed in front of him, blocking the Iceman's vision!
Caught off guard by the sudden attack, Iceman could only watch helplessly as Pyro leaped high into the air, the basketball in his hand leaving a trail of flames before slamming into the hoop with a resounding thud, completing a Haki dunk!
The audience erupted in cheers and shouts, one wave after another.
After landing, the Pyro didn't forget to wave his arms triumphantly to the surrounding audience, showing off to the extreme.
Before the Iceman could recover, Colossus launched a new attack.
He charged headlong into the Iceman's defenses like a heavy tank.
Seeing this, Iceman hurriedly raised his hand, and a thick layer of ice instantly condensed at his fingertips, attempting to create an ice surface on the ground to slow down Colossus's speed.
However, Colossus's strength was too great; the ice beneath his feet shattered instantly, turning into countless ice shards that flew everywhere.
Amid the chaos, Havok Alex Summers tried to find the right moment to shoot and score. He took a deep breath, focused his mind, and prepared to shoot the basketball.
Just as he was about to make his move, Colossus's massive body appeared in front of him. Gambit had no time to dodge and was hit squarely by Colossus.
Havok sent him flying backward, crashing heavily to the ground. The basketball slipped from his grasp, bounced a few times on the ground, and rolled toward the sidelines.
Pyro wouldn't let this golden opportunity slip by. With lightning speed, he dashed forward, picked up the basketball, and once again did the same thing, sprinting towards the basket.
The Iceman team members tried their best to stop him, but the Pyro was too fast and the flames were too powerful, so they couldn't get close at all.
Pyro leaped high again, the basketball arcing perfectly through the air before landing flawlessly in the hoop once more – another dunk.
Within just three minutes, the Iceman team conceded two points, both by such humiliating dunks. The Iceman players were blushing.
Pyro picked up the basketball, dribbling as he walked over. "What's wrong? Why Fudo? Didn't we agree last week to have a basketball showdown to see who's stronger, fire or ice? Why isn't it happening now?" Pyro gave a thumbs-down, "Luffy!"
In white and black societies, the more arrogant and flamboyant a person is, the more popular they are. As soon as he said that, whistles and Mutants glances came from the sidelines.
Looking at the laughing or mocking faces of his classmates on the sidelines, Iceman felt a pang of bitterness well up inside him, and his cheeks involuntarily flushed red. He clutched the hem of his clothes tightly and stammered, "I... I don't have enough players on my team."
Kitty Pryde hurriedly ran over, her head drooping, a hint of shame on her face. She muttered softly, "I can't play basketball at all. I'm just here to make up the numbers! This doesn't count!" Her eyes were full of helplessness and self-blame, and her hands were nervously twisting together.
Pyro's lips curled into a slightly mocking smile. He shrugged indifferently and replied nonchalantly, "That's not my problem. It's your own fault for not being able to find capable teammates!"
He crossed his arms, his smug expression proclaiming his victory to the world.
Iceman's face was full of helplessness. He was an introverted person, like a silent gourd, and rarely communicated with others. It was already a huge effort for him to manage to gather these three people to start the game.
Just then, Stephen Fang walked in unhurriedly from off-screen with Wolverine.
Pyro's eyes lit up as if he had discovered a new source of amusement. Without saying a word, he suddenly hurled the basketball at Stephen Fang!
"Thwack!" The basketball, carrying a strong gust of wind, flew straight toward Stephen Fang.
Stephen Fang, as if he had foreseen the future, didn't even blink. His arm, as if it had eyes, caught the ball naturally and easily, while he was still chatting with Wolverine: "So you didn't know there was an unkillable mercenary?"
When the ball landed steadily in his palm, Stephen seemed to just come back to his senses. He paused for a moment, then turned around, looking at the basketball in his hand with a blank expression and his eyes full of doubt.
Where did the ball come from?
This scene instantly ignited the enthusiasm of all the students! In an instant, cheers and shouts erupted like surging waves, one after another, deafeningly echoing throughout the entire stadium, seemingly about to overturn the world!
"So cool!"
"Cool!"
"This is like something out of a movie!"
"I'm reminded of a Superhero movie!"
"Mr. Stephen! Why don't you go up and fight a match!"
"Yes, Mr. Stephen! You must be really good at playing basketball!"
At this moment, Kitty Pryde also ran over and pleaded, "Stephen Fang! Please come and replace me on our team. I can't play basketball at all. If this continues, our team will be wiped out."
"What the hell? Playing basketball?" Stephen Fang looked at the Pyro opposite him, who was giving him a provocative look, and was about to agree when Wolverine stopped him, saying:
"Don't mess around with these students. Their basketball is different from traditional basketball. They get really angry Fudo. There's no need for that."
"Okay then."
Just as he was about to refuse, the Pyro suddenly shouted, "What!? You're afraid to fight me?"
Stephen Fang looked at Wolverine as if he doubted his hearing. "That kid is provoking me, isn't he?"
Wolverine also had a bad impression of Pyro, "Hmm, you must have heard right. But you'd better be careful."
Stephen Fang nodded. "With your words, it definitely won't be 'heavy'."
He walked to the center of the court with a basketball, and the students on the outer court whistled. Some had just taken Stephen Fang's class, while others were asking who he was. When they heard that he had dried up the fountain in front of Xavier's School with fire, the students cheered. He was not the kind of dull teacher in the traditional sense; he was more like an upperclassman to them, a group of Mutants!
Stephen Fang gently tossed the basketball to Colossus and asked, "Tell me, how do we play?"
Colossus remained silent, while Pyro said, "Simple, whichever side scores five goals first wins. There are no restrictions on the methods used, as long as they score."
"That easy?" Stephen Fang looked at Kitty Pryde, Iceman, and Havok, who was rubbing his back. "How many points did you lose?"
"Two, two pieces," the Iceman replied.
"Alright." Stephen Fang turned around, making a nine and an eight gesture with one hand towards the Pyro.
"What do you mean?" Pyro asked, puzzled.
"Oh, your number hand gestures are different from ours. It means I want to beat you by ninety-eight points."
Upon hearing such an arrogant statement, the students in the audience erupted in cheers!
A female student covered her mouth and exclaimed, "My God! What kind of teacher is this?! He's totally my type!"
Wolverine frowned. "If you don't want him to go to jail, then don't even think about it. You're only thirteen!"
"What's wrong with being thirteen? My development is no worse than someone who's twenty!"
Wolverine was speechless. "How could that be a developmental issue?"
On the field, the temperature around the Pyro gradually increased.
He was furious!
Even professional NBA players wouldn't dare say they could lead by 98 points when playing streetball.
But Stephen Fang was talking about ninety-eight balls.
That's too much.
"Alright! You said it! Ninety-eight balls, let's see how you beat me!"
Pyro said, taking the ball from Colossus and tossing it to Stephen Fang, "You kick off! You guys attack!"
"No need for all that trouble." Stephen Fang tossed the basketball to the ground and dribbled it, indicating that this was considered serving.
Pyro snorted and ran straight toward Stephen Fang, as if he were about to commit a fatal collision.
The students in the audience were also surprised to see this. Was Pyro really that temperamental? Did he have to commit a foul and bump into someone?
Stephen Fang remained calm as the Pyro charged forward, flicking his wrist to toss the basketball high into the air.
The basketball traced a clean arc in the air, and then, with a sudden burst of power from his feet, he took several large strides forward like lightning...
With a loud bang, Stephen Fang seemed to be carrying a thousand pounds of force as he charged straight at the Pyro who was crashing into him!
Pyro had no time to react before he was sent flying like a kite with a broken string!
With a sharp "thud," Pyro fell to the ground in a disheveled state. His eyes widened, his face filled with astonishment and confusion. His head was spinning as he looked around, still not understanding what had happened.
The students erupted in deafening cheers.
They seemed to have been waiting for this moment for a long time, hoping to see this kind of exciting, visceral collision. At this moment, they were all flushed with excitement and shouted encouragement at the top of their lungs.
Stephen Fang, who had sent the Pyro flying, did not take the opportunity to shoot.
He stood tall and straight like a pine tree, quietly watching Colossus, who had just broken free of the Havok defense, waiting for this formidable opponent to come and defend him.
Colossus's body gleamed with a cold, hard metallic luster, and his steel body was incredibly tough. Deadpool's "affection" for him stemmed from this invulnerability.
At this moment, Colossus did not use any fancy skills. Relying on his strong physique, he took big strides and charged towards Stephen Fang with an indomitable momentum!
With each step he took, the heavy metal insteps made a loud clanging sound as they hit the ground!
Faced with Colossus walks with such a commanding presence, most people would probably have been intimidated and wisely chosen to give way.
At worst, you can just give up the ball; at least you can avoid being knocked flying and ending up in a sorry state.
However, Stephen Fang was not afraid at all.
A slight smile played on his lips, forming a confident arc. Facing Colossus, he strode forward without hesitation!
Colossus was clearly taken aback by Stephen Fang's willingness to confront him head-on, and his steps faltered instinctively.
But his indomitable spirit surged up instantly, and he gritted his teeth and charged forward with all his might!
"Bang!"
Another earth-shattering roar erupted, and before the stunned, petrified eyes of everyone present, Colossus's massive, heavy body was forcefully slammed and sent flying a full five meters away.
Because he was so heavy, when he landed, he smashed a deep crater into the basketball court!
In an instant, the entire audience was stunned!
Everyone looked at each other, their eyes filled with disbelief, their mouths agape!
"What's going on?!"
Wolverine, who already knew Stephen Fang's strength, stood aside and watched Colossus's clumsy body slowly get up from the ground, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Wolverine witnessed firsthand how Stephen Fang, with his complex and incredibly powerful abilities, managed to subdue Magneto, who was under his control, right at the entrance of the White House.
Dealing with these hot-blooded young students is a piece of cake for him now.
Pyro got up from the ground, looking at the scene before him, his heart filled with resentment and unwillingness. He snorted coldly, a sinister glint flashing in his eyes.
He quickly pulled out a lighter, pressed it with his thumb with practiced ease, and with a "click," a flame shot up.
He aimed his fingertips at the leaping flame, focused his mind, and manipulated the fire.
In an instant, the flames seemed to come alive, growing larger in the wind and transforming into a surging wave of fire that roared towards Stephen Fang!
Stephen Fang remained calm and composed despite the oncoming flames.
His hands moved rapidly in front of his chest, quickly Hand Seal!
"Water Release · Water Wall!"
In the blink of an eye, four crystal-clear Water Wall rose from the ground, firmly blocking the raging flames!
The flames collided with the Water Wall, producing a hissing sound and filling the air with steam, but they could not break through the Water Wall's defense in the slightest.
The entire stadium was stunned by this incredible scene once again. Everyone stared wide-eyed at the center of the field, not daring to breathe!
Professor X upstairs exclaimed in surprise, "I have never seen Mutants with so many abilities. Could his level be above Omega Level?"
Jean Grey shook her head. "I don't know, but he is indeed very powerful, stronger than all of us."
The students then realized what had just happened!
The new teacher is someone who can control water?!
Thinking about this, Iceman wondered for a second whether he was being extremely restrained towards Stephen Fang.
But the image of Stephen Fang displaying a fireball immediately flashed through his mind.
Dual control of water and fire!
What a freak!
Just as the entire stadium was immersed in that breathtaking astonishment, a series of hurried running sounds suddenly came from the sidelines, breaking the brief silence!
Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw that Colossus, who had just been knocked away and fallen to the ground in a sorry state, was now red-faced and burning with an indomitable rage in his eyes. Like a raging bull, he charged forward again without regard for anything else!
He was clearly not going to swallow this insult and was determined to test his strength against Stephen Fang!
However, this time Stephen Fang did not get what he wanted.
Stephen Fang was gripping the basketball tightly when, just as Colossus was about to rush in, a pair of dazzling Ukaku suddenly appeared from behind him!
Before anyone could react, Stephen Fang flashed into the air and gracefully took flight right in front of everyone!
This immediately caused an uproar in the audience!
The Mutants Angel stood there dumbfounded, staring intently at the dashing figure in mid-air, and his computer crashed on the spot!
They both have wings!
How come this guy has so many amazing skills?!
Standing under the basket, Gambit was already caught off guard by the series of unexpected events. When he saw Stephen Fang flying over, his pupils shrank and he instinctively wanted to react.
Before he could even move, he felt a sharp pain in his head, followed by a moment of dizziness, and his vision became blurry.
His legs went weak, his Byakugan rolled back, and he fainted!
The Mutants around them looked at each other in bewilderment. They weren't fools; Central City knew that this bizarre scene must be a manifestation of Stephen Fang's mysterious abilities!
While everyone was still in a state of confusion and astonishment, Stephen Fang had already flown over the basket.
He looked down, the basketball in his hand whistling through the air as he slammed it hard towards the hoop!
With a loud crash, the powerful dunk uprooted the entire basketball hoop!
He actually slammed the heavy basketball hoop onto the ground as if it were a chick, the metal hitting the ground with a dull thud!
In an instant, the entire hall fell silent; everyone was so shocked that they couldn't utter a single word.
Stephen Fang, however, dropped a bombshell. "That's only one point. There are still ninety-seven points left. Shall we continue?"
Pyro had a look on his face as if he'd eaten shit.
Play?
What a load of rubbish!
