Nick Fury: I Have a Trump Card
In the Conference Room, Iron Man looked at Captain America as if he were an idiot, at his former comrade who had fought alongside him in the Battle of New York. This was the first time Stark felt he should give his comrade a simple intelligence test.
Otherwise, you'd have no idea what kind of entity is watching you from behind the scenes.
"Stark, you are fully responsible for Buggy's death!" Captain America repeated.
"Me, take responsibility?" Tony Stark stood up. "You mean, take responsibility for the death of a Hydra -controlled assassin, the sole heir of a family that has made enormous contributions to America? Is that right, Captain? Let me confirm with you again, is that what you mean? Take responsibility for the death of an enemy who has been modified to be awakened by Hydra at any time?"
"Enough!" Fury's one eye swept over everyone. "The problem isn't the Winter Soldier's death, but whether we can control the person who killed him, Stark. Will Stephen Fang listen to you?"
Tony Stark replied with an indifferent expression, "So, the topic of this meeting is how to deal with my partner?"
"He's a murderer!" Captain America roared again.
"Heh, you've killed far more people than Stephen. As far as I know, putting aliens aside, this is Stephen's first time killing someone, especially since it was an assassin controlled by Hydra."
"Forget it, there's no point in talking to a guy like you who only knows how to swing his fists and rely on his muscles. The reason I'm attending this ridiculous meeting is just to say goodbye to my past self. From now on, everything in S.H.I.E.L.D.. has nothing to do with me."
Tony Stark was about to get up and leave when Black Widow shook her head at him, her eyes filled with complex emotions. Tony thought for a moment before sitting back down.
"According to Wakanda's detection," T'Challa suddenly spoke, his Holographic Projection displaying a set of complex energy readings, "He has an energy reaction similar to the Tesseract, but much older, like a product of some kind of Eastern esoteric art. He can Teleportation and fly. He's more like a god than the Thor you talk about."
General Ross slammed his fist on the table. "Enough! An uncontrolled Asian Metahuman with abilities we can't understand is still New York around in New York? I propose we immediately activate the Metahuman protocol!"
Fury narrowed his one eye. "S.H.I.E.L.D.. doesn't discriminate based on race, General. At least for now, this Stephen Fang is still under control."
"I don't think so." General Ross cracked his knuckles. "He killed Rogers ' friend in front of all of you S.H.I.E.L.D.. heroes. Tsk tsk tsk, how can you call that within a controllable range?"
Tony suddenly stood up, looked at everyone, and said, "If you're going to discuss how to deal with my friend, you shouldn't be saying it in front of me." He turned and walked toward the door. "If you want to deal with him, you'll have to get past me first."
After the door closed, General Ross sneered, "See? Another fool who's been fooled. Fury, you know what I'm worried about. What if this Stephen Fang decides he'll stop working for money? What if he suddenly has some 'higher ideals'? You know what I'm talking about."
Nick Fury took a deep breath. "Gentlemen, we are facing the most dangerous individual in the history of S.H.I.E.L.D..."
Fury's voice was like sandpaper rubbing metal, "Stephen Fang —Asian, abilities include, but are not limited to: teleportation, supersonic movement, tearing steel with bare hands, and..."
He pulled up the footage of Ant-Man being flattened by Guanyin, "Which seems to be an ability from an Eastern Senjutsu system."
Maria Hill pushed the Data Plate to the center of the conference table. "According to the combat data analysis, none of the known Superhero on our side can deal with his abilities. The most troublesome thing is that we can't even detect his physiological limits."
General Ross slammed his fist on the table, his epaulets gleaming coldly in the blue light. "I propose using the anti- Mutants Sentinel Robot in conjunction with..."
"That would bring even greater disaster to this planet!" Fury interrupted him, pulling up a new battle plan. "The plan has three steps."
"First, Wakanda will provide the Vibranium Binding Vow," Fury pointed to T'Challa, "To work with Doctor Pym's shrinking technology to create a disposable trap that can fit inside a watch."
The projection of the Black Panther nodded slightly, its Vibranium claws tracing the scars on its battle suit. "Alright."
Everyone waited silently for Nick Fury to continue, but then they noticed that Egghead Hero turned to look at them and said, "What are you looking at me for? Do I have rice on my face?"
Captain America's lips twitched slightly. "Waiting for you to tell me the second step."
Nick Fury shook his head. "I haven't figured it out yet."
Everyone: "."
"Oh, right!" Nick Fury suddenly remembered something. "Don't worry, I have another trump card up my sleeve."
Gotham has been a strategic location fought over by military strategists since ancient times.
A major reason for this is the presence of Batman, a central figure in the DC universe.
Now, Batman in the Negative 52 Dark Multiverse, due to the successive deaths of Robin, has gone astray and, after possessing Barry Allen's Speed Force, has transformed into the Red Death who wields the Speed Force.
The position of Gotham's boss was thus left vacant.
Commissioner Gordon stood on the roof of Wayne Tower, rain dripping from his cap.
A few days ago, he saw Batman —no, he should now be called the Red Death —disappear into the Gotham night as a streak of crimson lightning on the surveillance footage.
The man who once swore to protect this city forever ultimately abandoned them.
"Batman's gone," Commissioner Gordon said into the communicator, a hint of unease in his voice. "Gotham's criminals have all escaped from Arkham Asylum, and this is bound to cause Riot like never before."
Barbara Gordon sighed from the other end of the communicator, "The whole city is in chaos. The prisoners at Blackgate Prison are starting a riot. We need to be on high alert, Father."
"No," Commissioner Gordon interrupted his daughter's thoughts. "This isn't our war. Let them fight like dogs! They want to elect a dog king, so we'll be the ones fighting the king!"
He turned off his communications and looked down at the city, which was soaked by the rain.
Gordon took a deep breath. "This time, let us police officers protect this city, not vigilantes."
Gotham's underworld is awakening.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" The Joker stood on the ruins of Blackgate Prison, with the still-burning wreckage of police cars at his feet, "Let us celebrate this beautiful city—" He bowed exaggeratedly, ""
Beside the Joker, Harley Quinn, Harley Quinn Arkham his greatest gain from Arkham Asylum, waved Baseball Bat and cheered him on.
Harley Quinn, her face freshly painted, looked at the chaos with immense excitement. "Puddin', are we really going to do this?"
"Darling," the Joker wrapped his arms around her waist, "when the cat's not home~" He suddenly released her, pressed the detonator in his hand, and a deafening explosion echoed from the prison's side gate in the distance, "Nezumi should have a party!"
The prisoners cheered and surged into the city!
The Joker pulled a crumpled list from his pocket, with names written in green ink: Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Riddler, and a big X over each name.
"First step," he told Harley, "Gather your men!"
"Step Two!" A long-lost madness returned to the Joker's face! "Eliminate the competitors!"
