Itō Yuying flew for nearly another several hours.
Only then did he see a faint glimmer of light.
He ate another Senzu Bean and shot upward again.
Once he reached the top, Itō Yuying slumped straight onto the ground.
He gasped for breath. Good grief, that had been terrifying. He had felt as though he really would not make it back.
Just then, the system's voice rang out. "Good thing you made it back, or you would've been saying goodbye to this world."
"All right, stop scaring me. You're a system, after all. Why do you talk like a person?"
"Tch, I'm an advanced artificial intelligence. Having a normal conversation with you is just standard operation."
"Enough joking around. Help me figure out how to solve this," Itō Yuying interrupted.
"I don't have a solution right now, either. I really know too little about this abyss."
Itō Yuying fell silent for a while and began recovering his strength.
"How about taking a stroll around the moon and checking out Hamura's descendants while we're there?" Itō Yuying suggested after some thought.
"You're really hopeless! You just do whatever pops into your head. I never feel safe with you," the system said mockingly.
That retort left Itō Yuying speechless, and he stopped bringing up a trip to the moon.
He began analyzing the problem and sensing the bottom of the valley.
One day, two days, ten days, one month, five months, one year.
Itō Yuying remained seated cross-legged beside the canyon all that time.
On this day, he opened his eyes.
The system's voice immediately rang out. "Well? Any progress?"
"A little," Itō Yuying said.
"Oh? Let's hear what little progress you've made," the system asked excitedly.
"I'm a little hungry."
