Everyone sat together and chatted for a while longer, their conversation gradually shifting from Loguetown's local customs to their upcoming sightseeing plans.
After the lavish meal, everyone felt full of energy,
eager to go out for a stroll and experience the town's unique charm.
Kakarot, however, had something else in mind. He had noticed a faint, intermittent gaze watching them for some time,
and, not wanting to spoil everyone's fun while also wishing to handle a few things alone, he let the women go off on their own.
After the women left, Kakarot's sharp gaze instantly landed on a figure in the corner.
The man wore a suit, with a coat covered in pink feathers draped over his back,
resembling a proud flamingo. It was none other than Donquixote Doflamingo.
The corners of Kakarot's mouth lifted slightly, and he lightly tapped the ground with his foot,
vanishing from the spot like a phantom, so fast that he left only a faint afterimage in the air.
Doflamingo had been sitting there at ease, swirling a wineglass in his hand and occasionally glancing at Kakarot and his companions.
Just then, his pupils abruptly contracted behind his glasses, as though some invisible force had struck him hard.
His prized Observation Haki had detected absolutely no sign of anything unusual,
yet Kakarot had already appeared before his table like a phantom.
This sudden turn set alarm bells ringing in Doflamingo's mind, and a chill shot up his spine to the top of his head.
But he was, after all, a man who had spent years fighting his way through the Underworld,
and he quickly composed himself, putting on a seemingly warm smile as he addressed Kakarot respectfully:
"Honored Lord Kakarot, may I ask what you need from me?"
